Carter & May have been great. I have used them once for buying our first property and due to how easy it was with them we decided to sell that property with them. Tim was looking after us, he came and took the photos and got them all online. The app they use to do bookings with was easy to use and whenever I rung up the office everyone was really helpful and if they couldn't answer my question they got back to me. They were great going between us and our buyers and I can't thank them enough. Outstanding service and did I mention we accepted an offer within 11 days of it going on to market!!! Huge thank you to the team

We let our dad's flat out through the Carter and May rental service. From start to finish over a number of years they provided an efficient, reliable and knowledgeable service which meant that I did not have to worry about it and could just get on with my day job. Communication was excellent. They periodically issued inspection reports and responded to any needs our tenant had. They also supported us in trying to sell the property when we got to that point by advising us on the legalities, issuing notice to our tenant and producing a checkout report. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing to use a property rental management organisation.

I had an extremely frustrating experience with Carter & May. The process dragged on for nearly a year for a property on 56th Crossroad, despite repeated assurances that the sale was progressing. The seller ultimately appeared to have no real intention of completing, and I was told twice that the sale had fallen through after long periods of waiting. What made this worse was that the agent, Mr. Tim ( agent ) repeatedly reassured me, 100%, that the property would go ahead and that I should continue with the process. Based on his assurances, I cancelled other options I was considering and proceeded in good faith. As a result, I incurred significant unnecessary costs. I paid for initial searches, solicitor fees, and a buyer’s survey, all based on these reassurances. In the end, I received a call simply telling me the property was not going ahead, with no accountability or consideration for the time and money I had lost. I also had to arrange a mortgage twice, first at around 3.8%, and later at approximately 5%, which added further financial impact due to the delays and uncertainty. Overall, this experience showed a serious lack of communication, transparency, and professionalism. I would strongly advise others to be extremely cautious and to ensure the seller is genuinely committed before proceeding. This has been the worst experience I’ve had in my property buying journey.

In March I bought a property, and in April let out another, both in central Salisbury. The purchase went through a few bumpy patches, but Luke’s calm, unflappable manner and close attention to detail ensured a successful outcome. Whilst the process seemed lengthy and stressful, the reality was this is normal and the process was relatively smooth and straightforward.
