GoogleWe are currently between purchases and reluctantly decided to explore rental properties. We viewed a property and promptly submitted an offer containing sensitive personal and financial information, from this point the communication from Gascoigne Halman was non-existent / awful. Despite numerous chases nobody came back to me to advise the property had been let out to somebody else, something we later found out ourselves as the property had been marked 'Let Agreed' on on Rightmove. If you're a tenant looking to rent or a landlord (as we are too), looking to market their property look elsewhere!

GoogleMy partner and I have recently bought our first home together with the help of Gascoigne Halman Sale and couldn’t recommend them highly enough. We were at the bottom of a very long chain and there was a huge time pressure for us as we had to be out of our rental property by a certain date. Gascoigne Halman (and Julie in particular) pulled out all of the stops to get our completion date pushed through. We were updated at least once a day as to where things were up to and even our solicitors were incredibly impressed by the service that Gascoigne Halman provided. Thank you for all of your help - we couldn’t have done it without you.

GoogleI recently worked with them in an attempt to purchase a property. Despite several meetings and numerous emails, I was ultimately unable to complete the purchase due to the lack of attention and support from the estate agent. They seemed disorganized and often failed to provide me with complete or accurate information, which caused delays and confusion throughout the process. Additionally, I found that they were unresponsive to my calls and emails, which further hindered my ability to move forward with the purchase. In the end, I was forced to walk away from the deal due to their inability to effectively manage the process. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the service I received from them and would not recommend them to others.

I have reviewed the notes on our file and throughout the process we have maintained continuous communication with you at each stage and calls/emails were returned and proactive phone calls were made to yourself and all parties in the transaction to help progress the matter. We have attempted to assist you on numerous occasions and in particular you have reached out to us for support in getting your solicitor to communicate with you and the vendors solicitor which we did on your behalf. You have never expressed any dissatisfaction with our service throughout the matter so I am surprised to read your comments, we understand that the vendor couldn’t commit to your timescales and this is out of our control and I fully appreciate this was frustrating for you. Frances Mason used our family to pump up other offers for the seller. She confirmed after a long and arduous process we'd had our offer accepted. She then encouraged the vendor and buyers carry on viewings in our opinion to gazump us. She knowing didn't send out a memorandum of sale to us for 5 days whilst getting other parties to outbid us. After we paid for searches etc Frances informed us someone had come in with another bid.......from there played us off as an auction for bidding. Then told us we didn't get the house. The next day it was put as STC for the other buyer. Something she refused to do for us in 5 days. She openly admitted on the phone she knew of another bid hence when she didn't do the memorandum of sale.She let us pay for searches while using us a pawn. It was absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with any kind of company. There was no remorse and I don't know how she sleeps at night for a little but extra of commission.Openly trying to get improved offers and more viewing whilst sending us acceptance confirmation and letting us pay fees is a very very underhanded trick.

What went wrong? Well I was advised by this agency that the property had come off the market once my holding deposit was paid. Upon submitting my credentials for referencing which was with let alliance, I was advised by "Charlotte" a representative at Gascoigne Halman that the landlord has gone with another offer and would rather refund my holding deposit then proceed with my application. Honestly Disappointed with the service provided by this agency. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND GOING WITH THIS AGENCY

GoogleFrom first visit to value to completion of Sale...I would recommend Gascoigne Halman all the way. Their task was not made any easier by the fact that I do not reside in the UK so everything was done from afar! Gascoigne Halman within hours of appointment had viewings arranged. As is not unusual, the sale was not without its problems , however Dan went out of his way to liaise with all parties involved and kept me up to date at every stage, including several long distance phone calls. From marketing to completion in 10 weeks... not bad going.

GoogleHad a really good experience buying with Gascoigne Halman. I was involved in a few sealed bids processes before being successful, and found GH really pleasant to deal with - kept me up to date, were transparent, and I didn't need to chase. I dealt with Mandy for my house purchase and she was great - fought my corner a few times, so professional as well as being really nice to speak to. This was a first house purchase and it all went smoothly, so very grateful. I dealt with most of the estate agents in Sale at some stage, and GH are for sure one of the best.

We were delighted with Gascoigne Halman’s service, when buying a property through them. They always went over and above. In fact I think our purchase might have fallen through but they kept it all on the rails. We will sell our house with them if we ever move. Dominic is fantastic. He always knew everything about the chain, and did loads to keep it all moving forward.

GoogleDan Mitchell was our advisor and he was a breath of fresh air in such a tough market. Following a previous sale falling through we were quite nervous about starting the process again. He was always very helpful and available when we had questions or not getting responses from solicitors in the chain. Would highly recommend Dan and his colleagues!

Very disappointed with customer service. Found the staff to be really unhelpful. As a cash buyer had been keen to purchase a property for my daughter and disappointed to learn the property we had secured was taken off the market. Tried to found out why and if there were any other similar properties available through the branch and got absoutley no help from them. Sent a polite message to the manager with honest feedback and requested that he give me a quick call to discuss - 2 weeks later and havent heard back from him. Will now never use Gasgoigne Halman again and recomend other agents who have a little more time and respect for their customers

GoogleSince beginning the process of selling our mother's house, the service I have received from Gascoigne Halman has been excellent. After our initial meeting, I was impressed by Andrew's enthusiasm, interest, and clear knowledge of the locality of my mum's house, along side a sympathetic understanding that comes with a probate sale. Throughout all the viewings, I was always updated by staff and Andrew provided excellent advice and guidance throughout. Equally, I cannot speak too highly of Julie the Sales Manager, who, through what became a rather lengthy and stressful journey to exchange, always responded quickly to emails, called me regularly, and showed a pro-active, caring and very helpful approach throughout. Anyone selling in Sale should use Gascoigne Halman!

GoogleWe have sold three times through Gascoigne Halman and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. Our latest sale was handled brilliantly from start to finish. We were a little nervous about getting the right quality of viewers as our property was listed at the higher end of the local market. However, all the right questions were asked and only serious buyers were booked appointments. In no time at all we had a sale secured at a price we were very happy with. Andrew visited to do the valuation and talked us through everything market related. Hannah took brilliant pictures to advertise the house perfectly and Julie the office manager navigated us through the process up to completion. Overall we had excellent service from all the staff at the Sale branch and pass on our thanks to all.

GoogleIn selling our family bungalow, we appointed Gascoigne Halman in Sale as our agents; we could not have been happier with the service that we received, they are a class act. Whoever we spoke with (Andrew, Hannah, Julie, Annie, Zoe, Tom, Dan, Vanessa) they knew who we were, they knew about the bungalow, they were able to give personalised feedback on viewings etc; each team member was very professional and genuinely cared about selling our property. After we accepted an offer, we were in the incredibly talented hands of Julie and Annie; their guidance through the latter stages helped us to maximise upon the final agreed sales price. If you want an exceptional service and if you want to maximise upon the sales price that you will obtain in selling your property - then appoint Gascoigne Halman in Sale.
