GoogleThis was my first time letting a property through Intercounty and I have to say they have been great. Whenever I have needed assistance from the aftercare, repair team, etc the process has been simple and dealt with swiftly (Ed is my Property Manager and has been fantastic). I would not hesitate to recommend the Saffron Walden branch. Good job guys!

GoogleIntercounty do an appalling job for their sellers. Firstly, after a whole load of enthusiasm at the start, empty promises and inane chat about how I'd have 'no problem' selling my modern family house in a booming sellers' market, they managed to organise just three viewings in a month. I then switched to another agent, who sold my house for the asking price in three days, before they'd even had to put it on Rightmove. I also looked at a house on the market with Intercounty in January, was extremely interested, made an offer that wasn't much below the asking price, but was told the sellers wouldn't even consider my offer until I put my own house on the market (with Intercounty) - despite the fact I was a cash buyer (ie not dependent on my house selling). I can only assume Intercounty got greedy for two sets of commission, but ultimately, this greed cost them the sale: I decided I didn't want to market my house until I knew I had somewhere else to go. I see from Intercounty's website that that house is still on the market now, six months later.

GoogleIntercounty sold our house twice in 6 months. Having pulled out of the first offer which we received over asking for we were forced to pull out due to a change in financial circumstances. The team were understanding the whole way through the process and re listed our house 5 months later selling it in short succession. Highly recommend in our local area

GoogleRecently completed on the sale of our property through Intercounty. After initially having three different agents value our home, we decided to give Intercounty a go. One local agent valued our home for significantly less than we sold it for, whilst Intercounty and one other both came in with a similar valuation. What really swayed us to use Intercounty, was Pete's enthusiasm and willingness to really get out there and push the property. Communication was timely throughout the process not just from Pete, but also from Claire, Abi and Charlotte (sorry if I've missed any others)! We lost our initial buyer, but Intercounty were quick to press on and get the house marketed again and had a new buyer lined up very quickly. 12 months of emails, quotes and excuses. If you fancy paying market rates on a rental that isn't market rentable, Intercounty are the Estate Agent for you!It's understandable that Covid has caused some serious delays but 12 months on and we're still asking for maintenance to fix kitchen cupboards, the front door, black mould on walls and sealant around the bath. It's only been a month asking for maintenance to reseal the bath plughole so we can have a bath without contents spilling onto the floor. We had enjoyed 5 years renting this property without any issues. The past 12 months however has been so frustrating that I've directly contacted the Landlord to see if there is a reason why there has been such a delay. Our Landlord has also been experiencing issues with Intercounty and their poor communication & property management. Sadly for her she's also paying them management fees.I'd encourage people to try another Estate Agent because Intercounty really aren't doing the job they're paid to do.

After many weeks of communicating with us, our solicitor and others in the chain, Charlotte from the Saffron Walden branch managed to push our sale through. She has been amazing throughout. Easily accessible, professional, very communicative, friendly and at times tenacious. We cannot praise her and Intercounty highly enough. Our offer got accepted on a property. Our solicitors carried out searches and reported back with a shocking find. 10,000 homes + major intersections were being built in & around this beautiful historical village, where the property was located. We asked the estate agents on numerous occasions about any pertinent information which could effect the property. When the estate agent was confronted (Sarah G) she was unapologetic and couldn’t care less. Her attitude was appalling and proves yet again at how 99.9% of estate agents are clueless amateurs.

I have moved a few time over the past few years and have always found estate agencies difficult to work with but this has certainly changed with my recent experience with Intercounty Bishops Stortford. The 2 Harry’s and Reece who work there and the lady her gave us a 2nd viewing worked fabulously throughout the process. They are by far the best agents I have dealt with and that has been a few.
