these guys do not return your calls or get back to you even after a viewing that takes 3 calls to get them To arrange and them changing the time of it to suit them even though you have been booked in for over a week to view an empty house minutes from their office to which they hold keys ! then 2 more promises to get back to me, they never did. avoid these guys if possible, somethings not quite right. Especially when at the height of the market, the only house they have had on for many months is the one your interested in and still they are evasive unprofessional and actually quite strange.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism

Our purchase and sale started mid lockdown in June 2020, just as the government implemented the Stamp Duty break. During this period all estate agents were extremely busy and Arkwright were just the same. We had some challenges with responsiveness and how we felt our case was being treated at first, which led to us giving Arkwright some constructive feedback. To their credit, the response was fantastic. Tom (Arkwright) took the time to sit down with me and hear my comments for nearly an hour during one of their busiest months and I didn't feel in any way rushed or like an inconvenience. I really felt listened to. After this, we had Carol as our sales progressor who made great strides and was extremely professional and a pleasure to deal with. It took our chain around a year to line up, so we also had new sales progressor, Grace, whom is the main reason for my review. She was tenacious, diligent, lovely to talk to, and we very much felt that she had a personal interest in getting us over the finish line. I honestly feel that we wouldn't have achieved it, if it wasn't for having Grace on our case. I would thoroughly recommend Arkwright to anyone, they are a pleasure to deal with, and I couldn't be happier with the service.

Recently rented a property through Arkwright & Co and they were fantastic from the moment we signed the lease to handing the keys back at the end. Any maintenance issues were dealt with quickly and efficiently and getting our deposit back at the end was a breeze. Having rented properties from many different letting agencies I can honestly say Arkwright & Co have been a cut above the rest. Their friendly and professional service is really stand out and Daniel the lettings manager can’t do enough to make things as easy as possible for you. Highly Recommended: Professional, Efficient and Honest I highly recommend Arkwright & Co to anyone looking to buy or sell a property in Saffron Walden. As it turned out we both bought and sold through them and we cannot praise them enough. From the initial appointment to value our home to the day of completion, we received an exceptional level of service from Arkwright’s. All the staff with whom we had dealings were very knowledgeable, friendly and always available to give advice or inform us of the latest developments relating to potential houses to we might want to buy or about potential buyers. They also didn’t try to inflate our expectations about what we could sell our place for, nor did they try to push us into making any decisions that weren’t right for us. Their proactive approach during a fairly flat housing market allowed us to sell at a decent price and in a timely fashion that allowed us to purchase the house we wanted. All the staff were great, but special mention goes to Kerry Hill, with whom we had the most contact. Kerry worked with admirable efficiency and professionalism from the moment we signed up with Arkwright & Co until after the completion of the sale/purchase. She is a real asset to the company, and indeed her profession, she was always very open with us and exhibited an unwavering ability to keep things moving in the right direction, all the while taking the pressure off us, even when things looked like they might be stalling. I cannot praise Arkwright enough. Tom showed me around my flat and was very professional and helpful. I came with my son and my parents and he answered any questions we had. I didn't feel that he was just interested in just getting another rental ticked off , I didn't get a long winded sales pitch which was very refreshing!! Since then Dan has taken over as he deals with the Lettings. Again , I cannot praise this man enough! Nothing is too much trouble, he gets back to me with any questions/queries I may have very quickly and will always phone with an update!! Very happy and would definitely reccommend!!!
