GoogleThe handover experience was not good. They asked us to accept a deduction from our deposit, but when we requested a clear explanation, they gave reasons that had already been discussed with their staff.
Emma and Paula were aware of the ventilation issue in the bathroom, which they were unable to resolve. While Emma, Paula, and some of the other staff members were helpful and supportive, Tara was difficult to deal with and seemed more focused on withholding money from the deposit.
Unfortunately, the agency did not honour what was discussed and agreed upon. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this agency.

While we understand that you are unhappy about money being deducted from your deposit, we do not agree with the suggestion that we have been unclear or lacking in transparency. The reasons for the proposed deductions have been explained in detail throughout the process and are supported by evidence provided by the independent inventory clerk. The matters in question were not based on opinion, but on documented findings from the check-out inspection for which responsibility was attributed.
As an independent stakeholder of the deposit, our aim is not to favour either party, but to help achieve a fair outcome and assist both landlord and tenant in reaching an agreement that they can feel comfortable with. We have approached this matter with that objective throughout and have made every effort to engage in a constructive, reasonable, and evidence-based discussion.
Unfortunately, we feel that our explanations and the supporting evidence have not been fairly acknowledged, with responsibility for the issues consistently disputed despite the findings of the independent inventory clerk. We appreciate that not everyone will agree with the outcome, but our role is to ensure that all evidence is properly considered and that any proposed deductions are justified.
We are also disappointed by your comments regarding Tara. Throughout the process, she has remained polite, professional, and clear in her communications, despite what were at times challenging conversations. Our team is committed to treating all customers respectfully and fairly, and we believe this standard was maintained on this occasion.
In the interests of goodwill and reaching an amicable resolution, the landlord did offer to reduce the proposed deduction. This offer was made as a gesture of compromise to help bring the matter to a close, rather than because the original deductions lacked justification.
We appreciate your positive comments about Emma, Paula, and other members of the team, and we thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
