Rochdale Branch is SUPERB!!!!!

Excellent customer service from the Rochdale branch. Very professional and they were there when we needed them throughout the process. Massive shout out to Tom, Naveen and Nicole for all their hard work and efforts. Having a dedicated agent was important to us and Tom was our agent he was brilliant, a good listener and kept me informed until we completed. All the staff at the Rochdale branch are very polite, have a positive attitude and great communication kept me going. We will use their services again in the future.

I have just purchased a house with Ryder and Dutton Heywood, and can say the help and support from all the team was amazing. They were all friendly, helpful and kept me up to date with everything and if I was worried or wasn't fully aware the team Catherine, Ewan, Fran, Jenny, Tom & Gail were there with phone calls, emails and upto date news regarding the house or sellers information. Simply the best!!

Having had the property on the market with another estate agency and receiving very few viewings, we decided to re list the property with Ryder and Dutton. In this day and age you tend to think that if people want to view a property they use Rightmove...... Wrong. Ryder and Dutton are not the cheapest but you get what you pay for! Their service is second to none and their database of potential buyers speaks volumes. Amber was brilliant from day one and Alice advised on what would make the property more appealing. In the first week alone we had more viewings than in the previous 4 months with our last estate agents. The property has now been sold for the full asking price and I would 100% recommend Ryder and Dutton. The cheapest is not always the best option. You truly do get what you pay for when you use the best. Highly recommended. Thank you to all the team at Ashton branch.

Shannon in particular was so so nice

Shannon in particular was so so nice. We were told at one point the house was unsellable, and as you can imagine we stressed out like mad people. Shannon didn’t once make us feel like unreasonable people - we were we really were. And for that alone we thank you. The rest of the team were just as helpful when stepping in on her days off. Can't rate these guys highly enough. They helped me find and move into my home in just a few weeks. Paul was really helpful and attentive during the process, responding to any queries quickly, Freya was great during viewings, answering any questions or quickly finding answers if she didn't know. Veda was extremely helpful in every possible way throughout the buying process of my new home. She replied very quickly to my questions and enquiries, of which at times were quiet thorough. The Ryder & Dutton Estate Agents team at Rochdale branch were excellent and I was very satisfied overall with how they handled my late father’s house sale, all the staff (Tom Prince, Lauren Coomber, Nicole O’Brien, Naveen Naheed, Lois Snape, and not forgetting the first point of contact who gave us the very accurate valuation the knowledgeable Kris Street ,I was also impressed with how the move manager Jenny Boyle kept me updated throughout the process from start to completion.Lastly I’d like to mention anyone looking for a local solicitor firm should definitely try JBHS Solicitors (The Old Parsonage,2 St. Mary’s Gate,Rochdale) the solicitor Fleur Everett who was dealing with my affairs handled all the conveyancing, probate and other issues I had in her stride quickly and professionally, also her new trainee Sania was great too, her fellow partner and solicitor Sarah Milner was fantastic she has a great depth of knowledge and they make a good team, I always found the receptionists warm and welcoming especially the receptionists Georgia who was very polite and helpful.I also found them very competitively priced which was a bonus and they were cheaper compared to other local firms.I hope this review helps someone else who is looking for a good estate agent and a quality solicitors firm !Thanks again Ryder & Dutton & JBHS Solicitors it was a pleasure !! ✍🏽 ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ 💫

Great customer service! My chain was very slow due to having to wait for tenants to vacate my property, but Fleur kept in touch with me even when we were just waiting. And when everything finally started happening she was an invaluable point of call to get the other sides actually moving (they were definitely not as proactive). She always came back to me with updates and helped navigate any problems. She always put me at ease. The welcome gift with tea/coffee/biscuits etc was a really nice touch. Disappointing Experience with Unprofessional Service, but a Few Bright Spots

Our experience with Ryder & Dutton has been quite disappointing from the start. Trying to schedule an appointment to view a property was extremely difficult, and communication with the team was frustrating. The first time we called to arrange a viewing, they asked when we were available. I gave two dates, but neither worked for them. Instead of offering alternative dates, there was silence on the other end, no suggestions, no effort to accommodate us. The conversation felt awkward, with me asking all the questions, and it was so unhelpful that I ended up hanging up promptly.However, I eventually called back a few days later, and this time I spoke to a lady (Rachel, I think) who was much better. She was very professional and accommodating, making the process smoother. I also dealt with another lady, Lois (I believe), who was great to deal with as well. Both were a noticeable improvement in terms of customer service compared to the initial experience.The first property we managed to view was guided by a gentleman who was far from professional. He didn’t offer any guidance throughout the viewing and was generally unfriendly, leaving us with a poor first impression.On another occasion, we were shown a property by a young lady who was clearly inexperienced. She seemed to know very little about the property, and it was obvious she wasn’t prepared to conduct the viewing alone. It made the experience awkward and uninformative.When we made an offer on a house, I called for feedback, and the person handling my offer was uninterested and fobbed me off onto another colleague. It felt like they couldn't be bothered to engage with the process. I made two separate offers on this property, clearly showing my interest, and was ready to make a final offer of a few thousand below asking price. However, due to the lack of professionalism and how everything was handled, I ultimately decided to step away from the deal. Throughout this, we were left constantly chasing for updates, with little initiative shown on their part.It seems like Ryder & Dutton have a lot of local properties on their books but simply don’t have enough staff to service them properly. Given the poor communication and lack of professionalism, we chose not to list our property with them. This was further cemented by their high fees, which are among the most expensive in the area, yet the service we received was far from premium.We expected a more professional and knowledgeable service, but unfortunately, Ryder & Dutton fell short at nearly every stage.

"Unprofessional Service and Misleading Communication: A Frustrating Experience with Ryder & Dutton"

I initially called to arrange a viewing for a house and was told by Agent 1 via a callback after a few hours that the house already had an accepted offer.Later, I asked my wife to call, and she spoke to Agent 2, who told her they would speak to the owner and arrange a viewing for us. Shortly after, we received an email confirming a viewing for 2 PM on Sunday.However, the next day, Agent 1 called my wife to inform her that the house was no longer available because an offer had been accepted, despite the fact that Agent 2 had already spoken to the owner and secured a time slot for the viewing.Today, I called and spoke to Agent 2, who asked if I had cancelled the booking. When I said no, they mentioned something vague about the owner not wanting a chain and preferring a quick sale. This directly contradicted the earlier assurance that we were scheduled for a viewing.Frustrated, I spoke to the manager, who simply reiterated that an offer had been accepted, without addressing the miscommunication or misleading information we'd been given throughout this process.This experience has been marked by extremely poor communication, inconsistent information, and outright misinformation between agents. It has been the worst experience I've ever had with an estate agency, and I will certainly be looking elsewhere in the future.

The most important aspect of the house sale was the good clear communication regarding the progress of the sale.Amy was always able to update me and answer any questions I had, if not immediately then by a return call. Not having sold a house for many years I did find it quote fast moving near to completion having to wait for funds to transfer arrange removal and key collection at both ends all in one day.
