The Amazing Sandra

I had a viewing in windmill road gillingham on saturday I was early for my appointment and greeted by sandra. I have had lots of viewings with other estate agents recently but sandra was def the best. Her professionalism was amazing she was very honest which is rare for most estate agents :) and she knew everything about each room before we stepped in it. Sandra's knowledge of the area was great regarding parking near by facilities. Clearly she did her research before the viewing. I feel she is a real credit to the company and everybody should learn from her how to conduct a viewing in a professional way. She should be the face of customer experience for the whole industry not just hunters. I understand this is a sales environment and results won't always reflect how good or valuable a person is but hunters def should invest in this one for long term as the old saying goes people buy from people. Thank you so much Sandra :)

My brother and I contacted Hunters recently in relation to a 6 bedroom detached house with extensive parking & gardens in Buntingford Hertfordshire. We arranged an appointment with their employee Laura. My brother and I were so impressed by Laura from our first meeting in relation to her knowledge of lettings. She proved herself to be highly efficient and courteous during the following week and arranged all the certification, photos & floor plans for the letting with the individual contractors and in addition to providing us with beautiful Client brochures posted it on Rightmove within a very short time scale. I would highly recommend Laura and Hunters.

I recently sold 3 houses with Hunters in Gateshead and I have to say Hunters did a job a great job for me. A couple of the sales were not straight forward but they managed to get the sales over the line and and showed great worth ethic and professionalism. Rob is always on the other side of the phone going the extra mile to help out. They also managed my rentals and did an amazing job finding me great tenants. Booked a house viewing in Manchester with them, with a text confirmation, which my friend and I travelled over an hour for - once we got there no one showed up to show us the property, we called and were told the viewing was cancelled since someone else took the property. We were given no warning of the cancellation, despite the claim that we were sent an email - we checked our mailboxes and spam, they never warned us. This is absolutely unacceptable, don’t let them waste your time like they did ours.

I had the privilege to be working with Nicole Coombes throughout my home purchase. I can’t begin to explain how thorough she was throughout the whole process. Every time I contacted her, she replied instantly. Probably one of the quickest turnaround I have ever experienced working with anybody. She went above and beyond for me, even ensured to keep me updated outside of working hours and managed to get me an answer within literally minutes. She is also very sympathetic, welcoming and very easy to work with. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with her throughout my entire experience and she made the whole process very pleasant for me. I would give zero it i could. In disrepair for two years. Dont know were to start. Electics, mould, guttering, blocked toilets, firealarms. Dog poo on the floor when moving in. Overgrown ivy on the walls etc etc. im begging you dont rent from them. Fail to attend apointments etc

After a few friends and neighbours relayed the positive experiences they’d had with Hunters, we decided to instruct them for our recent property sale. For a previous sale, we used an online estate agent, so we’ve got experience of both. The bottom line is you get what you pay for. Considering their fixed fee and the service and support we received from the Hunters team throughout the sales process, we feel they were good value for money. From proper property photographers (you’re not going to see a reflection of the agent taking the photo in your bathroom mirror in any of Hunter’s photographs, they bring in the professionals!) to the support and guidance from Nicole when it turns out you’ve instructed amateur solicitors and want to tear your hair out, they were worth every penny of their fee! We had a positive experience with the whole team at Hunters. Everyone is very personable, and we always felt they were doing their best for us. We would however, like to take this opportunity to specifically call Nicole out as the star of the show. She is extremely knowledgeable and highly efficient, a winning combination and exactly the person you want in your corner when you’re in the thick of the sales process. We’re really happy we reverted to the traditional high street agent and will recommend Hunters to friends in the area without hesitation.

What to say, utterly unprofessional estate agent. Some properties are for sale in ivyhouse road that we like to view, seen it in Zoopla. And was told that property is sold couple of weeks ago, off hand. I am sure as an agent they have access to the account and very easy to put it STC, rather than making people running around.

Unfortunately, estate agents usually have exclusive rights on properties and if you find a property you really like, you will have to go through them whether you like it or not.It's also likely that you will only see this review when you have already had problems with Hunters, but just in case this helps anyone, here's my recommendation: avoid them entirely, find another property you like if they are managing it exclusively.After I ended my tenancy, they kept me waiting for weeks and weeks without any kind of information. I could've waited to receive the money of the deposit, but I couldn't accept is the complete neglect and lack of updates they put me through. They didn't return calls (when i called they were always busy) and never answered emails.After trying to contact them again and again, they only decided to do something when I said I would take them to the small claims court if necesary, Even with that, they did reply but with lots of nonsensical excuses.After I got my money I found out that the landlord, unlike me, had been in the loop for everything.I wasn't even notified about the meter readings taken on check-out day by the clerk so that I could close my accounts.Why was I treated so differently? Well, simple, they don't care about tenants, only landlords, because they are the ones giving them their cut, not us.Also, the agents were the ones holding my deposit, so the later the better for them. They were clearly not in a rush to return my deposit.Absolutely unprofessional behaviour from a big estate agent that has offices in multiple places. This is a money-making machine with no consideration for tenants.

Nicole Coombes at Hunters estate agents, Middleton; has helped me and my partner (first time buyers and we had no clue about the processes of purchasing a property) she talked and helped us through step by step and made each step clear and understandable. she also did this with such a warm, friendly and professional manner plus she was so patient with me throughout. i would certainly recommend hunters and certainly Nicole Coombes was just fablous with us. we now, thanks to nicole at hunters, moved into out first, soon to be family home

Cooling off period contract disparity…

Cooling off period contract disparity with hunters.We signed up to sell our property then changed our minds over the weekend as we are entitled to do under the 14 day cooling off period. There is a clause in the contract which contradicts this entitlement so be warned if you change your mind. The measure of any company is how they react! In our case, demand for payment and threat of debt collection when no work had been done. Be warned my fellow house moversThe sooner estate agents are regulated, the better for all concerned!!! Ombudsman your time to shine
