We saw a beautiful home for sale that went up on a Friday on the first of May, we called and scheduled a booking for the Tuesday (they offered bank holiday Monday but we were busy) We viewed the house at 11:30am, put an offer in at 1pm and it was accepted by 3pm. From putting the house online to us buying it took a maximum of six working hours and it just got better from there. Nicki was knowledgeable, friendly and more importantly honest. Calls to the office were always answered and emails responded to within minutes if not seconds. While the house went through we were looked after by Paul who was exactly the same. I am sitting here in the house we viewed a short three months later shocked that it went so smoothly. Whether buying or selling I couldn't recommend them enough, do yourself a favour, make the process easier, call Hunters Middleton.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

I have only great things to say about Hunters Middleton!

I have only great things to say about Hunters Middleton branch! From the very first phone call right up to exchanging contacts They have been beyond brilliant. I absolutely loved the pictures of my house and the write up most definitely did my house justice. My house sold within 4 days and I was over the moon with the price!Nicole was the shining star for me- she kept in daily contact and was the most reassuring and helpful person every single step of the process. She chased up people when they needed it ensuring the sale moved along at pace. Thank you so much Hunters but especially a massive thank you to Nicole- you have been amazingly!

Nicole was amazing from start to finish. She was always there at the end of an email to answer any questions we had and she kept us updated with each step of the process. Very good communication and very professional.

Disappointed is an understatement..

To say we’re disappointed with the level of communication from the Horncastle Branch with Michael and Susan Noonan is an understatement and the level of service is a far cry from Michael's commitment to customer experience.Researching this branch shows multi-occasions that this activity has happened here.If you’re viewing a property with the intent to buy, don’t expect them to tell you if any other parties are interested. They’ll just pull it from under your feet along with any visions or excitement of a future you had in said house.Viewed a property two weeks ago, following the viewing we had a really positive conversation with Susan in the office expressing great interest, no more than a week later sold to another buyer with no communication. It would have been professional and courteous to reach out to the buyer but more so to the seller, as I’m certain they would like to have known of other interest. Susan and Michael took away any opportunity or chance to put in any offers, resulting in many wasted hours.I wouldn’t usually leave a review; but the tone in which Susan delivered the news was blunt, lacked any sort of empathy and very closed, to date I am still waiting for a reply to my email which I can only assume has been ignored. We will steer clear of this company for future sales and purchases, knowing that their priority doesn’t appear to be with either buyer or seller.Happy to receive a call or email to discuss our experience with you.

Hunters are not interested

Hunters let the house adjacent to ours. There have been multiple pipe leaks around the bathroom causing flooding which in turn is causing damp smells on our side due to the length of time taken to address the issues. It's been repaired after four weeks now within hours water is currently coming through the ceiling next door soaking our party wall and they have told the tennant it's livable no problem.

Feeling sorry for vendors hoping to sell their property

Mid of August I telephoned Hunters Sunderland to view a property, giving them all requested details - a little while later they sent an email asking which property I meant (I had told them but if they wanted to clarify: why didn't they ask this when I phoned?).

Our purchase with Hunters couldn’t have been better! We dealt with Nicole and she was just amazing. So informative, friendly and helpful. I was very nervous at the start as I was first time buyer, but Hunter's made it easy by helping me at every stage of my purchase. Nicole was my agent and she was so helpful all the way through, very pleased with the service Nicole provided, very professional and kept me informed at all times. Highly recommended hunters.

Awful

Awful. Incredibly disorganised. Would establish inspections and never turn up, would constantly email about overdue rent that wasn't overdue. Would pass the blame constantly. Attempted to raise my rent by a "reasonable" £200 a month six months into my tenancy which can only happen every 12 months and cannot be more than the CPI price index; they failed on both counts. Renting is honestly awful, and these clowns pray upon the anxiety of insecurity to get what they want.I have bought a house now, I wish all renters the luck to buy their own homes one day so we never have to deal with letting agents like these ever again.

Gutted

I was really impressed with the valuer's sales pitch and genuinely believed they would be the best firm to sell my home. The fact they had a relationship with Ryan property law also played a part, although that turned out to be a disaster, but that's a review for another day.

Sales progression team lied and not very professional.

We are in the process of buying a bungalow at the moment and the sales progression team told us the vendor had been to sort the electrics and service the boiler..previous tennants had apparently got in debt so electric was cut off..Hunters lied saying this would be sorted. A second viewing 2 weeks later and a wasted 120 mile journey confirmed nothing had been sorted. When we told them we were disappointed with them we were told to leave the property.

I would completely recommend avoiding…

I would completely recommend avoiding this agency, they are slow to respond, have no information ready at hand and this has possibly been the most annoying process of purchasing a property with them. There was a lot of missing information that I was not provided and they basically only know how to respond when they need something. You will call them and they say they'll get back to you and just disappear. Avoid if possible.

Damaged our house, and we're not even their clients!

Hunters hung a "for sale" sign on our property, which was a surprise to us, since we were neither selling nor letting the property. When asked to take it down, four visible holes have been left in the wall of our home. It has been six and a half weeks, and the holes are still there. In a couple of weeks, we're going to need to escalate this to the ombudsman.

Agent Harj was full of fake promises

Agent Harj was full of fake promises. Although he was all smiles and seemed friendly, the minute we left after our viewing he didn’t return texts or calls and shyed away from any contact. After several calls to the agents I finally managed to find out myself that the property had been given to someone else, rather than them calling me to inform me I had to dig this information out of them which was frustrating. Avoid!

Bad communication

I have been trying to contact them for 4 months in regards to my flat and contract but they are absolutely appalling at responses and making things clear and helpful for those they are letting to. They have sent me in so many different directions on who to contact and have stopped responding to me within one week of me first contacting them. On top of this it took them weeks to respond and report to maintenance issues, and when they did the response I got was rude and abrupt. As well as that they issues weren't resolved fully resulting in me feeling uneasy in what was meant to be my own space. Absolutely awful service and wouldn't even consider letting/renting from them again.

Pathetic estate agency

Pathetic estate agency! The guy who is showing properties mixing up addresses and you end up viewing a different one. If you make an offer they show a very keen interest in person then no-one ever comes back to you. The property owners will never get to find out who made offers and they may just losing out on perfectly good tenants…!They do not even talk to each other within the office to relay interest. You get a bunch of promise, but that is all!Laura is useless!

!! Don’t use anyone else !! I’m not normally one for reviews unless someone has gone above and beyond and in this case the agent assigned to me from hunters is the reason for the 5 star review!! Communication is key and throughout my whole sales process, Nicole has kept me updated on the very aspect of my sale from start to finish. She has been extremely positive at every interaction and put me at ease during every milestone of the sale. She is very experienced and extremely responsive meaning that she made herself available whenever I needed to ask questions, even though it’s a very busy time for estate agents!! Totally recommend hunters (Middleton) compared to other estate agents in the area, they are miles ahead of the rest and I couldn’t recommend them enough to anyone looking to buy or sell in the Manchester area.

If you're in the market to buy...

If you're in the market to buy a property I would exercise caution with these agents. We were looking to purchase a property last year in Manchester. Hunters wouldn't let us view the property as we were out of the country at the time viewings were taking place and due to a large volume of interest they couldn't accommodate us on an individual basis. Having later spoken to the seller who reshared the property via a Rightmove link on social media Hunters later got in touch to arrange a viewing. When we went to view the property several days later we were told that this was the 30th viewing and they were only taking offers greater than £15k above the advertised asking price through to a best and final offer (BAFO) process ending in 3 days time. There were already 6 other offers submitted at that time. Having decide to throw our hat in the ring we submitted an offer and awaited the outcome. Hunters agents then called us on the day the offers closed saying our offer was the second highest offer would we consider looking to increase this. At this point it became clear it wasn't a BAFO as they wanted us to submit a new final, final offer in an effort to start a bidding war between the rightful higher bidder and create a gazumping match. Unfortunately this wasn't meant to be so decided to withdraw our offer. For a seller this is perfect when looking to maximise a return but for those looking to buy this type of behaviour not only undermines what is intended to be a fair process it creates a really volatile market in what is already difficult for buyers.Thankfully we have since prevailed after this experience and found the right place for us.

We had 3 local estate agents value our property, and after Paul’s pitch, we opted to go with Hunters. We certainly made the right choice! Our property was listed at 12pm on a Friday, and after 3 viewings over the weekend, we accepted a final offer on the Monday, 5k over asking. The whole process was fantastic and Hunters delivered above and beyond what they said they would. I must give a particular mention to Nicole, who made what is supposed to be a stressful time a breeze. She kept us updated and informed throughout each stage, and gave us some great advice. Our onward purchase was also dealt with by Hunters which made the whole process seamless. My Mum and in-laws have also chosen Hunters for their respective sales based on our great experience. Thank you for everything!

We’ve just received the call from Nicole at Hunters in Middleton, to advise that the house sale has now completed. I wanted to say a huge thank you to the team at Hunters who really persevered in showing prospective buyers around at frequently inconvenient times, ultimately finding the right buyer for our house. We received regular updates on appointments, pre & post and an appraisal of the market and were always available to discuss our thoughts. Nicole worked tirelessly to ensure our own solicitor was up to speed so that we ultimately met the completion date. We would highly recommend Hunters for anyone considering selling - or buying - a property.
