Since 2006 Antony Roberts has been looking after my rental property in Kew. They have consistently found me excellent tenants, helped arrange any upgrades to decorations or furniture that I have needed, and generally made the experience of renting out my flat an easy one. At the beginning of this month, they helped with arrangements that I would have found very difficult at a distance (I live in Canada). I can thoroughly recommend Antony Roberts to anyone thinking of renting their property. In addition, when I sold a house in Kew in 2005, Antony Roberts Sales took care of this for me too.

In August 2022 I wrote a review about my experience with Antony Roberts in 2021. I was contacted almost immediately by Antony Roberts to discuss my review. The person who contacted me seemed genuinely concerned about my review and shortly after I received a formal written assessment. I personally did not feel the assessment fully addressed my feelings and I replied asking further questions. I never received a reply. Today I noticed on my Trust Pilot page that the review had been removed - Anthony Roberts flagged the review because it breached Trustpilot guidelines! I stand by my original review (copied below) because they have displayed the same lack of transparency this time round - instead of choosing to talk to me or telling me what they were going to do they just went ahead. Addendum on 4th October 2022 - some days ago I noted that Antony Roberts also had this second review removed. Having discussed this with TrustPilot I discovered that Antony Roberts flagged my review for, "not based on a genuine experience”. I am astonished and disgusted that Anthony Roberts called into question the honesty of my review. I have since provided TrustPilot with the correspondence between Antony Roberts and myself and TrustPilot have reinstated the review as they now understand my review was based on a genuine experience.Wonderful … until it went wrong!They were fantastic until a sale fell through. At which point I sadly I found them to be manipulative, sly and underhand. They didn’t have the decency to simply be straight with us - there was a compete lack of transparency and they shafted us.

My moving in date should have been an exciting day but instead, I was handed the keys to an uninhabitable flat. Knowing that they hadn’t even checked the flat when the previous tenant moved out just 3 days prior, the guys at the East Twickenham branch of Antony Roberts happily took my money and handed the keys over to me. I was shocked to discover that not only had the flat not been cleaned at all, but in addition to the broken floors and unlockable doors, the flat was in a bad state.When I informed the agent of my shock, I was made to feel like I was in the wrong and treated like a bad, annoying tenant. It took 11 days into my tenancy for everything to be put right. All the while, the agent kept reminding me (not in so many words) that they are doing me the favour of getting the flat fixed up. They accepted no responsibility and still expect to take a full month’s rent form me.Even when I took this further to senior management, they apologised that I felt the way I did (how patronising?), but again took no responsibility for the failings of the letting agent. They obviously sided with their team again, still expecting a full month’s rent despite the flat only being habitable for 2 thirds of the month. I’m very disappointed in the way senior management dealt with (or didn’t in this case) my grievances.A despicable company to engage with, I urge everybody to steer clear and go to a company where you will be treated with the respect you deserve as a paying customer whether you’re a tenant or a landlord

TrustpilotWhat an Estate Agent should be !
I have never posted a review about an estate agent as rarely have they ever matched up to desired expectations but this small independent company are actually what an estate agent should be. They worked hard to secure viewings and were able to generate a steady stream. Russell who is quite frankly, outstanding, would ring me with short calls to update me on progress. He was upbeat, enthusiastic and cheerful and realistic and good at chasing the other parties when required. We sold my property fairly quickly, and were satisfied with the price. This small company is what an Agency should be like.

Our house selling process lasted a lengthy period due to Covid restrictions. However at no point did we feel despondent as the staff at Antony Roberts were always professional and upbeat about the process. We particularly appreciated the speedy feedback following viewings - even if the viewing didn’t progress to a sale. The staff were very professional and gave us confidence that the ‘right’ buyer would come along. And they did! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend their house selling services.

A huge thank you to the team at Antony Roberts for selling our house, one person in particular was outstanding and that was Mark Wright. He remained professional, proactive and supportive during what was a frustrating process and his skills nudged it over the finish line when we thought that nothing could be done to progress the sale. He was always positive, honest and direct with his information and I know he spent many hours (outside of the normal office hours) to progress this sale.I would highly recommend Antony Roberts to whomever asks, and we WILL be using their services again as in a couple of years it is our intention to buy another property in Kew.Once again, a massive thank-you to all and Mark, you are a superstar.

I have used Antony Roberts Property Management services for many years and have found them to be an outstanding lettings agency. They get a good rental price and find tenants quickly, they find reliable tradesmen to do any work required at competitive prices and their friendly, efficient staff are easy to get hold of and always a pleasure to work with. I have worked with a number of lettings agencies over the years and Antony Roberts are easily the best that I have come across.

Anthony Roberts did an outstanding job on our house sale. The first buyers pulled out suddenly and they put the deal back together with a second buyer straight away thus keeping our chain intact. They did all of this in the teeth of a recession, with interest rates rising and confidence in the housing market falling. Our agent was Simon Welford who was a gentleman and consummate professional throughout. Big love.

I don't normally leave reviews tbh, i had to in this case as Anthony roberts are simply on point with everything. no matter whom i spoke to, it was simply pleasant. Their professionalism in communication, the all around commitment makes one feel at ease. i have to particularly thank Jo lacey (tenancy manager) for making things of ease. her pleasant character, the outstanding professionalism gives one a warm feeling. The company is bar none the most profound i've come across in the 20yrs of property sales/lettings. i'd like to thank everyone and wish them continued success.
