A huge ‘Than you’ to Paris Marshall Senior Property Manager at Dexters for his speedy response, kindness, attentiveness and professionalism. Paris arranged for the Khinda Building Works Ltd to attend our premises to conduct some repairs. I was very impressed with the contractor’s skills to resolve three different repairs within such a short time. The communication was smooth and the contractor was very punctual. When I tell you Run from Dexters… I mean RUN! Did the most when we were interested in renting a property and they put up an amazing facade…acted all nice and professional, treated with respect. We did 3 years with them which was absolute hell!!! never has the interest of the tenant and quick to take the landlords side ( not a surprise) … while I do understand property inspection is necessary I felt like I was constantly being asked for this which to me was getting annoying at some point, near my tenancy ending they said the rent was going up And we said we couldn’t afford it anymore as it was a massive increase of 400£ extra…I kid you not the minute we said we weren’t going to renew the tenancy within a few days they were constantly calling me for people to Come for viewings, it’s like at that point they didn’t care and just wanted us out, treated us like garbage. They did a check out report which they tried to pin so much on us ( as expected) , they wanted to also take 300£ extra because according to them they had to get the place “ professionally “ cleaned for the next tenant…we said we would challenge it, I asked to see the invoice for this so called professional clean…2 months on I have not received any reply from dexters about my deposit or a reply To my email. I will never ever rent from dexters again and I will spread the word around to whoever I can to stay away from them. At this point I don’t even want to hear from them anymore, all they have caused me while renting through them for 3 years is just constant anxiety and worry, good riddance!

10/10 for effort at business winning 0/10 for performance!…

We were badgered by Dexter’s for years so decided last summer to instruct them on a letting. They over promised on the rent they could achieve so we missed the window to secure tenants before the autumn. We also then instructed them to sell as we were receiving no rent . They failed to produce a single credible offer on either basis. We instructed Goldschmidts who found a buyer and at a strong price within a matter of weeks. I’m prompted to write today as we received probably the third cold call from Dexters as the old property is now for rent via the new owners . We told Dexters on at least 2 previous occasions that we had sold the property so I wish they could be more efficient/ professional in all they do.

I had my inspection today with Monika and I honestly just wanted to give some feedback… I have only had her as my property manager for a matter of months but cannot fault her work rate, effort or dedication! She is a true asset to Dexter’s, was fabulous to finally meet her and I really hope she sticks around as she is so quick at providing solutions! Clearly someone who really cares about her job and the people she is working for/with… feel very supported and well looked after!

I have used this estate agent incompetent stafffor…

I have used this estate agent for letting my property for nearly 4 years. For the first three years, I couldn’t fault them, but the staff have Changed hands and I would not recommend them. The majority of staff are incompetent they make so many mistakes and their Fees are high. I did complain to the director and it was a waste of my time. My last tenancy agreement they failed to put in a break clause and I’m now unable to break free of them unless I give them vast amounts of money. Although I have to ride this out, I will not be using them again in the future. I do not recommend them.

Issues with marketing letters

EDIT: I have received a swift resolution to the below issue and so I have amended my review accordingly. Since reaching out to Dexters (which was lovely and helpful) I have since been bombarded by sales post. I asked to be removed from the list and yet the letters keep coming. It's roughly one a fortnight. The latest letter contains inaccurate information about my property being for sale which it is not, with an agent I've never spoken to and at a price its never been listed at. Having already tried to speak directly to them, I'm now feeling ignored and frustrated that I keep having my time wasted.
