We have recently bought a house in East Sheen through Chestertons. Having rented in the neighbourhood for three years, we were convinced about the area but struggled to find the right property until this listing came up on Rightmove. Sarah, our agent, arranged a viewing for the following day, when we had a chance to view it in great detail. She also got our questions answered swiftly, assisted us in the negotiation and supported us in those parts of the purchasing process we were less familiarised with. I have had the pleasure of liaising with Mark Kardos from Chestertons as the property manager for my flat over the last two years, and I can say that I’m happy with the service he provided.From the beginning, Mark managed my flat promptly and efficiently, ensuring that all my requests were addressed promptly.Unfortunately the landlord didn’t want to undertake some repairs that needed doing from the beginning of my tenancy. But I can say that Mark tried to do his best. Mark's excellent communication skills and responsiveness were particularly good. Whenever I had a question or concern, he was always quick to respond and provide the necessary assistance.I am genuinely grateful for the great job Mark has done in managing the flat I was renting. The worst agency I’ve ever dealt with

The worst agency I’ve ever dealt with. Firstly as a long term tenant, during the housing crisis they delayed my extension deliberately so I get discouraged to renew as they wanted a better market price. Then they manipulated my deal so badly that I would be super disinterested to continue renting. 3 increase which i agreed but they still went on the open market to sublet it. Because apparently I can’t change anyone from my contract. All rubbish but we all know, they will use all the excuses. Snobby agents when it comes to renewal, they will play you psychologically, I will avoid naming people but really had enough of them all. I’m glad I’m not going to continue renting with them. Worst agency, don’t trust them. Specially when it comes to renewals. Despite they gave me a good onboarding experience, outgoing customers are left to feel distressed, no wonder they don’t have returning customers,.A disgraceful agency one sided.. With that attitude, a good self reflection would help them!

Poor team, one of our executive staff was relocated in a chestertons let property, we were given a great onboarding however when it came to renewals, very disgraceful. we had agreed to several offers that the landlord had apparently made but obviously because right now open market is more attractive they did everything to break the contract so they could let it at higher price, disgraceful from an agency that calls themselves world class, I do not think they can be world class with that quality and behaviour. Renewal teams at Chestertons emails are a sight to see, Specially the team that handled our extension.

Absolutely disgraceful treatment of…

Absolutely disgraceful treatment of tenants. My tenancy ended in August 2022 and I still have not had my deposit back. They failed to inform me that tenants only have 3 months to refer to TPS, but constantly ignored messages or take ages to respond, meaning when it became clear the matter could not be resolved between us, i was out of time and could only resolve via court proceedings.I issued a letter before action and they quickly sent the funds back to the landlord (who lives in australia) and told me I am on my own in resolving it with them, whilst refusing to provide me with their contact details. They are untrustworthy and incompetent. They admitted I was dealing with an individual who was new and did not know the rules, but I am the one left with a poor outcome, due to their inability to train staff to have sufficient competency to deal with tenants.
