GoogleWe were fortunate to both buy our new house and to sell our previous house through Halliwell Marks recently and would highly recommend their services. It is obviously a difficult market at the moment, but navigated effectively by Halliwell Marks, we had a relatively straightforward experience. The lady who handles the progression of the sale was especially attentive, and this really helped to avoid any unnecessary delays. We couldn’t fault the service.

GoogleCan’t recommend Halliwell Marks enough, personable, responsive, high quality service throughout and they managed to sell our flat on a matter of weeks! Big thanks to Duncan who is top of his trade! We had our flat on the market initially with White and Sons for several months and it was a terrible experience: no shows, lack of response, no due care. GoogleSelling ones Mother’s house isn’t easy at the best of times but the team at Halliwell Marks made the process extremely smooth and as painless as possible. Having started with another estate agent we moved the property to Halliwell Marks after 2 months. Richard, Jo, Rachel and Hannah were faultless in their professionalism, guidance, knowledge and kindness. They work as a seamless team which you don’t often experience, it didn’t matter who picked up the phone they all knew who you were and what the situation with our property was at time. They all also knew everything that needed to be known about the property and area so it didn’t matter who did the viewings, every prospective buyer got the same viewing and information. Having been a bit doubtful at the onset as to whether an independent family estate agent was the best way to sell a house that was not being lived in I could not have been more wrong, I would recommend HM to anyone and everyone without hesitation, they have cornered the market with their unique ‘family’ style business approach which is both professional and friendly. GoogleFrom the onset, not a very professional service. Messed around by changing appt. days & times. Felt badgered. Whilst the house was being valued, I had to sit and look through a pie chart and reams of paperwork, trying to persuade me on how marvellous Halliwell-Marks is. Finally, was given a most ridiculous & out of touch valuation figure. Got the impression, they like quick sales, hence the under valuation.

We do try and avoid this wherever possible, but unfortunately in this instance, one of our staff members was off work with COVID. However, I do apologise for the inconvenience this caused you. We feel any agent can make claims about their performance and ability, and therefore think it is important we do bring relevant information to valuations to back up our claims. We also ensure we arrive at valuation having carried out thorough research for your home. I'm sorry you were disappointed with the valuation figure for your home. I have tried to contact you but am yet to hear back from you. I would love the opportunity to discuss this with you further and provide further evidence and comparable sales to explain how we arrived at your valuation. We saw you had to reduce your sale price several times over the six months you were on the market and the house went unsold. To be clear our advice about the market and the pricing of your home was proven to be accurate compared to the advice you received from other estate agents. We do not under value homes. We pride ourselves in trying to get the best possible price for our clients in what is now a more challenging market. GoogleRichard and the team have successfully found excellent tenants for our rental property over the last year and a half. They are extremely helpful and great people to deal with. Their genuine no nonsense approach is a breath of fresh air. They guided us through the process and we really appreciate all of their support. It was great to deal with an independent and we even got to choose a local charity to donate to in the process funded by Halliwell Marks. For hassle free renting we couldn't recommend them highly enough.

GoogleI couldn't recommend Halliwell Marks highly enough. Not only did they sell our house before it was on the market thanks to their local knowledge but they helped beyond the call of duty when the going got tough. They answered phone calls on Sundays and bank holidays to help us move when all odds were against us. Their friendly and professional approach got us out of a very tricky situation with our buyers and we managed to move in to our dream house in record time. I would recommend Halliwell Marks without hesitation to anyone who wants an estate agency service which successfully manages to break the stigma of traditional estate agents of old and be both reassuring competent and refreshingly genuine in its approach. Richard and the team sold my house 1 month ago and were honest, open and diligent throughout the entire process. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them and I felt thoroughly well looked after throughout the whole process. I wish them every success in the future.

GoogleAfter some less than pleasing experiences with other estate agents in the area it was an absolute pleasure dealing with the whole team at Halliwell Marks. They were approachable, knowledgeable and always very welcoming in their office. We mainly dealt with Hannah who was very good at keeping you in the loop, finding out answers to our questions and generally being available. They made the stress of buying a first house much easier to deal with and I would recommend them wholeheartedly. They also give you coffee if you pop into the office, which is always a plus!
