GoogleW&S, and in particular Ed, have been superb for us. From the moment Ed viewed the property I felt his valuation was evidence and experience based and he clearly understood the challenges (it really needed updating) with the selling points (great garden) so I felt he would be presenting the property honestly but with an aim to maximise the best price for us and with a competitive commission rate...it was a good start... Wow, did he deliver! 14 viewings in 2 days, 6 offers and 3 bang on asking price, £50k/ 10% above the best alternative agent valuation.) Throughout the sale he has been efficient, professional and courteous. Really felt it was about getting our property sold, not earning his commission. Ed went above and beyond, chasing surveyors, solicitors and buyers and pushed us through to exchange when we thought it wasn't going to happen. The team at W&S are brilliant in all departments, I thoroughly recommend them.

After four years of being a reliable tenant, All rent paid on time, I’m shocked that White & Sons are trying to take a large portion of my deposit over trivial issues. They listed things like a grain of dust as justification for charging me for a full professional clean. That’s not wear and tear that’s nitpicking. I kept the property clean, took photos before leaving, and handed it back in good condition. Yet they still tried to push excessive charges. I’ve since seen other tenants reporting the same behaviour, which says a lot. Tenants deserve fairness, not exploitation. If this happens to you, don’t accept it use the deposit protection scheme dispute process, which is there to stop agencies from making unreasonable deductions.
As part of our end of tenancy process, we compare and contrast your initial check-in report with your check-out report and highlight any discrepancies. As part of this process, regardless of how earnestly you have been paying your rent, we have a responsibility to the landlord to record any issues we find. In accordance with your terms and conditions, the landlord has the right to request that these be rectified using your deposit. Having been managing tenancy for decades, we pride ourselves on our objectivity during this process. In the very rare occurrence, the TDS are there as an impartial mediator, should a tenant feel that these findings are not to their satisfaction. We wish you well with your claim and will, of course, uphold any decision they make.

Ed Macfarlane's solid valuation attracted exactly the right kind of buyers for the property and the ensuing competition and skilfull negotiations from Andrew Stanyard achieved several over-asking price offers. Andrew's guidance on selecting the best buyer helped to keep the sale secure despite our complicated onward move. And Rebecca Thomas brilliantly managed the whole process with pro-active and responsive communications that kept everything on track through to completion on deadline.
