Incompetent! The sale of my property was poorly handled from the moment I recieved an offer. The managing director of the branch was extremely unpleasant to deal with and a bully. The sales progressor had no idea what was going on at any stage of the transaction regularly giving me wrong information. There was no duty of care for my best interests. Avoid them at all costs.

Rosalie Kurton... a true Super Agent!

How do you describe the effort of a single individual in a few words? I cannot emphasise the gratitude that I have for Rosalie Kurton. She is the SINGLE reason that I am a homeowner today. Unfortunately, Douglas Allen and my solicitor J.S LAW have failed to keep me well informed or up-to-date over the past few months and in particular the last two weeks of my purchase. Rosalie however, was the ONLY person who ALWAYS answered my calls and replied to my e-mails. She would call my solicitor and my local branch regularly to keep escalating my queries on my behalf. Where others failed to maintain professionalism and lacked enthusiasm, Rosalie was able to keep both her and my head above the water at all times. On occasions, I had almost given up on the sale and decided to take my custom elsewhere. It was her persistence and hard-working ethic that led to the completion of this purchase. It was an absolute pleasure to work with you and your help is highly appreciated. I am still struggling to answer the question: How do you thank someone who helps you buy your home?

Amazing Team at East Ham...

I cannot recommend enough the great team at the East Ham branch of Douglas Allen. We were the buyers when using Douglas Allen. All too often in London, the agent only works hard for the seller, not in our case. Maureen and the team worked tirelessly through what was a complicated and tricky sale. There were many occasions where Maureen would be working late into the night and during her days off to ensure that the sale stayed on track. Throughout our journey buying a property, we came into contact with a lot of agents in East London. None were as friendly and professional as Maureen and the team. They all went above and beyond and totally exceeded my expectations.

What a kind and helpful man Nasir at Douglas Allen East Ham is

Although I'm not planning any immediate move, I'm nevertheless interested in keeping track of conditions in East Ham and Beckton, the areas I'm most likely to return to. I therefore decided to call a few of the local estate agents to try and get a general flavour of the current situation.The first three or four agents I spoke to were polite enough, it's true, but it soon became pretty obvious that they weren't really interested in speaking to someone who only MIGHT be coming back to East Ham to live. Then I discovered Nasir at Douglas Allen. His attitude was entirely different. The fact that I was calling about what's only a possible future move seemed not to be of any great importance to him. Not only was he happy to discuss the situation at the moment, but he actually went as far as inviting me to phone him for updates as often as I needed them.If and when I do decide to launch my move back to East London, Nasir is who I'll be calling first, that's for sure!

I was delighted with the service the Ash provided during the sale of my property. I initially instructed another Woodford Green agent to begin with due to cheaper fees. In hindsight, I wish I instructed Douglas Allen at the very beginning because they really do provide a premium service like no other. Ash also managed to get more viewings and offers during the pre-launch stage than my previous agent did in the space of 3 months. I sold my house in January this year through Douglas Allen Woodford Branch. Stephen Ford handled the sale from the start and throughout the process to completion. The buyers were first timer; a bot slow and pedantic. Stephen was an excellent professional in guiding both parties to speed up the process. Towards the end the buyers were a bit niggly and Stephen offered to go a put sealant to remedy the problem over the weekend as I lived in Nottingham. He went the extra mile in concluding this sale. easy transaction, made selling a house feel very easy with no hassle. first met Douglas Allen Chadwell heath office manager Michelle, who came to value my property which was one of the more expensive properties in the area, Michelle tailor made a bespoke marketing for my 5 bedroom property which worked a treat. we had received multiple offer within 3 weeks of marketing . Hasan had conducted all the viewings with covid precautions yet up sold the property to every viewer. we got an above asking price offer which they had negotiated and allowed me to get £10,000 more then the asking price. i cant thank Michelle & Hasan enough , highly recommend Douglas Allen chadwell heath office

I found the East Ham branch to be a bit…

I found the East Ham branch to be a bit of a nightmare and somewhat manipulative, first Maureen was really charming, and I realised later pumped me for info, about the lowest price I would take and saying fixed fees that turned out to be without VAT and to have all sorts of other charges added on. So fees were way more expensive than I had thought l. On the plus side they did get a buyer really fast, before they even advertised in on line and I was stupid enough to say yes at the bottom line which was represented to be the the buyer having scraped together every penny they could. (That turns out not to be quite right as they are going to remodel the house their surveyor told me)If you agree a fixed fee they work for the person buying to secure the sale and not for you. And they will put pressure on you to meet unreasonable demands even after you ah e formally said no via your solicitor rather than point out to the buyers that they are asking for things never normally done and only days before exchange and completion. In hindsight I would never again use this firm and have real concerns about the ethics of someone who isn’t up front about fees, hides the VAT and additional charges until you get the paperwork with small print and who is open about advertising at inflated price so that buyers feel they are getting a bargainAvoid fixed fees and they might actually work for you

I chose Douglas Allen after meeting with a number of agencies, their fees were slightly higher but I was impressed the branch manager Stephen Ford’s track record and local knowledge of Woodford green. As I have a background in sales I had high standards and at times will admit I may have been been quite demanding in terms of the quality of service I desired but Stephan and his team managed to deliver on all fronts. My mum was selling our family home which she had been in for 35 years and Stephen and his colleague James were able to find us a buyer before it went on the market who was cash and have supported us brilliantly through the whole process. I think what has set Stephen apart has been his honesty and directness in difficult situations, an ability to troubleshoot quickly and his wealth of experience and contacts locally which he draws on allowing him to go above and beyond in any situation. Stephen was always contactable and ready to help us when the issue was outside of an estate agent’s remit and this made us feel we always had someone on our side who could push to get the result we wanted. My mum completed on her new home yesterday and could not be happier! Thank you to Stephen and James, I would highly recommend their services and our family are already planning to use them again in the near future.

Worst estate agents in the country , dealt with barking-side office . And was gobsmacked to see how they do business , mortgage broker and manager does doggy dealings . Doesn’t have the sellers best interest at at heart . Only care about how much more cash they can make . Avoid at all costs , the broker Faisal , out right said to me give me cash to get house.
