Angela and her team are AMAZING

Angela and her team are AMAZING! She secured a very quick sale for my house achieving a good amount above the asking price and helped me secure my purchase under the asking price. But where they really really shine is the personal service ironing out the ‘impossible’ scenarios. I was going through a tricky personal time with my Mum in hospital when a neighbour started misbehaving about a nasty notifiable weed which looked as if it would completely scupper the sale, she stepped in with advice, support and telephone numbers.They offer a polite, honest efficient service, so helpful and I contact as a friend as well as a BRILLIANT Estate Agent.No hesitation to recommend.

Excellent service

I let my property through Winkworths in Kensal Rise.I recently had the property completely refurbished and decorated. Michael did a brilliant job of organising all the tradesmen and making the process quick, efficient and very smooth. His input and suggestions were extremely helpful. Aaron also did a brilliant job of getting the property let quickly. The process was very professional and efficient. They are always very friendly and helpful to deal with.

I wish there was a zero star option! Worst experience with Winkworth Reading, their compensation amount after end of tenancy of 6 months was around 22% of my deposit which was unfair as they included compensation for the items that were included in my check in report (before tenancy) and some cracks they mentioned in check out report for which they were unable to provide pictures. I damaged their paper lamp which was £10 and asked £20 for it. Similarly for one bulb fused they asked £5 each and the list goes on. I wasted a lot of time explaining them with evidences that these amounts are unfair still they never responded and were eager to deduct as much amount as they can from my deposit. Its been 4 months now they have held my deposit and are not responding to my emails. I can see all good reviews are for start of tenancy. To write a review of our time letting through Winkworth would require a dissertation, which I neither have the time or the patience to unfold. From inception to finish, renting through this agency was nothing short of a nightmare. Consumer fraud, inattentiveness, and sleazy cash-grabbing tactics upon moving out are just a few ways I would characterize this place. Do not, I repeat, do not judge the reputation of this agency based off of their supposed "verifiable" Google reviews, because you'll come to find that hundreds of thousands of lessees have been scammed out of their hard-earned money for reasons that are completely incomprehensible. All of you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Great for the Landlord. Stay well clear if you're a renter. We professionally cleaned the property and left it to the standard of when we moved in yet without notifying us they decided to do 500 pounds of professional cleaning and deduct it from our deposit. Our cleaner would have actually returned to the property and cleaned any area they were not satisfied with free of charge, instead they decided without informing us to undertaken a top to bottom cleaning, even cleaning elements we never even used and charging for it (the oven). Utterly bizarre behaviour. They even listed a single hair on the mattress as a sign it wasn't clean. This seems to align with other reviews I've seen here so it's a shame we didn't heed this warning. Stay well away if you're a renter. Edit: Great news. We got almost all of the money back after the dispute. Always fight them!

Winkworth are an exceptional estate agent company. From the moment we enquired about a rental flat, they were professional and "un-estate agent-like", in the sense that they weren't selling false promises. Very truthful and realistic. Whenever we contacted them, they were very quick with informative responses. Now that we have started renting, they are just as attentive and have had repairs done two days after I contacted them by their extremely helpful and handy handyman Kyle, who got most of the issues fixed on one visit. I would highly recommend these agents to anyone looking to rent or buy. In a world where tenants are at the whim of landlords, we need more companies like this where we feel listened to. Five stars.

Winkworth Reading helped us rent out our home while we are away temporarily. As it is our family home we wanted to feel confident it would be well looked after. The team were great. Their fees were more reasonable than another agency we looked at. They booked in to take the photos the same week as we contacted them and had listed the property, had viewings and found tenants that satisfied all the checks within a fortnight. I would definitely recommend them.

I request for the help of Winkworth after being let down by other agency to market my rental property. I contacted an agent via email. The communication was excellent and the willingness to help was amazing. They visited the property immediately and followed all instructions given. The agent was very professional in providing advice. This was not the best bit…. The best bit was I ended up renting out the property not via Winkworth, but yet they were still so helpful and friendly. James provided excellent customer service that you will not expect from an estate agent and values your business (long term). He understand the stress of the letting process for landlords (hard to find). The next round I will for sure go back to them. 5 years later I contracted James again for help to sale a property. \the service I service from the sales team Robin and Tom, was equally excellent. From Winkworth, I think I have found all my property needs satisfied.

Awful!!! Please use ANYONE else!

They don't even deserve the one star but you have to put it to be able to leave a review. Awful doesn't come close to their service!!First time for us selling a house and the branch manager convinced us they were the ones to do it. Promised us "professional photographs", "dedicated sales team", "great communication and follow up from viewings" and "expert sales agents".We received literally NONE of what he promised. The photographs were not great, let alone professional. The estate agent using a professional level camera, does not equate to professional photos. Some of them weren't even focused properly, they were taken at very poor angles and the first photo that everyone saw online, which was of the front of the house, had almost the entirety of the neighbour's house in it! So people didn't even know which house was for sale!! Even one of the people viewing made that comment when they got to the house. As for communication and follow up from Winkworth, there was none. We unfortunately had to chase them for ANY feedback and even then we just got poor excuses of they "hadn't spoken to them yet" (6-7 days after a viewing), "we left a message" etc. We're not the kind of people that get offended if someone doesn't like the house enough to buy it, but the agent should at least let the client know if the viewer didn't want to take it any further. We were even told that a couple of the viewers were "very keen" yet had zero follow up on them. One couple who we were told were "super keen" even had a follow up question for us regarding broadband speed, for which the answer was "gigabyte high-speed fibre" which is the most positive answer you can get and then. . . nothing. No follow up call from the agents like they'd promised they'd give us.One of the agents Max, was great and he was the only positive thing about the entire experience with Winkworth, but even he didn't follow up from the viewers follow up question, just left us hanging.The sales agents are honestly nothing more than a poor mans tour guide. Giving bad advice like "knocking through into the garage" for more living space (which is actually taking away space to do that), instead of suggesting a conservatory or small extension. 🙄Also, how difficult is it to turn lights off after a viewing?! Given the current extortionate charges for electric it is simply unprofessional not to turn lights off, not to mention costing the client money. The branch manager of the Hellesdon office is utterly patronising, condescending and goodness does he love to mansplain!Please, please save yourself the disappointment and frustration and use a different estate agent. Don't waste any time with Winkworth, get yourself someone who will actually do the job properly and professionally and sell your property.

Dear potential clients of Winkworth Estate Agents, I would like to make you all aware before you think of signing a contract with this incapable organisation. Firstly a viewing took place at my property, which I later found footprints all over my brand new cream carpets, on another occasion my wall got damaged by a client that viewed my property so I made contact with the Director regarding costs to fix this, but was told it’s not their responsibility to supervise your property during viewings. Secondly, the communication and lies regarding clients positions and the ongoing lack of support quickly come to light that we had chosen the wrong agent. Lastly, my advice to you, would be to never to go with Winkworth as the whole experience was something I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through. Winkworth Shepherd’s Bush

I only dealt with Winkworth Shepherd’s Bush on Uxbridge Road and can honestly say it was my worst experience as a tenant. All of the good reviews seem to be from landlords and people having their houses let for them, they only care about making money from these people and not about the tenants. Sophie Feighan was the most unprofessional, either clearly very new to her job or just awful at it, taking forever to collect our information and asking us for the same things two or three times which we had already provided easily and make a contract, I actually had to ask in the end please can we have a contract by the end of today or I don’t think we would have got one before the tenancy was due to start. Endless phone calls to get any updates or confirmation. Coming towards the end of our tenancy we had two separate people contacting us (one of them Karen Buckley who I expected more from being high up in the company) for meter readings, keys handing in etc which again we already provided the first time, there is absolutely no communication between staff so be prepared to repeat yourself lots of times and get frustrated. The final straw was they actually sent the deposit back to the wrong account after we confirmed it with them twice?! Luckily it was still the account of someone who lived there but not the one we specified and had been checking all day for the money. Completely unprofessional, rude and slow at their jobs. It’s not worth the effort required for the high fees they charge for an awful service.

Winkworth - Appalling Service

Winkworth, Sunningdale, Appalling Shoddy ServiceThe service we had to endure from Winkworth over the last 2 years was atrocious. Fortunately the rental has now ended and we have been able to leave Winkworth. We will certainly never use them again. They have absolutely desire to deliver a good service, you call their office and invariably the call is not picked up. The lady in the letting department is off on holiday or sick more often than not, it is a rare day you call and can be put through to her. Your emails are not replied to, you have to chase for an answer. The tenants told us that the lady from the letting department pointed out faults in the house (faults that we were not aware of). They failed to collect the correct amount of rent for the last year of the rental, they had taken their fee for rent collection but had not provided any level of service for this charge. Their recent rental valuation was low in comparison to other agents, they had totally disregarded the current conditions in the rental market, you cannot trust their guidance. I would highly recommend that you do NOT use Winkworth unless all the other local agents have closed down.

Henry Synge and his team in RBKC were a pleasure to deal with. They acted in a professional and polite manner and I had a realistic offer accepted after a few weeks of negotiations.The vendor was maladroit and unrefined; yet Henry still maintained excellent communications with the different parties involved and he managed to get the contracts done. Finally, as a foreign buyer, caveat emptor applies in RBKC. It's nowhere near as nice as LA- Beverly Hills or NY-Upper East Side (yet the prices in RBKC are higher per sq ft). It's a very complicated area and in my honest opinion, there are only a handful of garden squares or roads that are worth it.

As landlords, we have used a lot of estate agents over the years to let our properties and have always hit problems - usually because teams and departments don't communicate with each other! But our experience with Winkworths has been completely different - from marketing the property, finding suitable tenants, referencing, paperwork and the finances, we have had a seamless service. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the team there and will definitely be back in touch when the property is vacant again.
