Take responsibility for your choice of solicitor

This is my second experience with M&B in 6 months. I was happy to go with them a second time, even happier that I didn't use the solictors that they regularly work with the second time around, but successfully worked with Girlings instead. It's true there are a few bolt-on costs for photos, ID checks, EPC rating, but we were made aware of them before signing the contract. Apart from a bit of a slow start when you're so keen to lock in an offer, the committed and longer term staff were always very helpful. Having worn Rebecca Gravener out with the previous sale, her help was less necessary this time. All the same, once again she was on the case before the rest of us every step of the way. Lynette also, charming and helpful when the buyers visited for a final view.

We’ve had fantastic service from Miles and Barr from start to finish. We initially were going to sell with a smaller firm but the valuer Jack really impressed us with what Miles and Barr had to offer. His excellent communication skills and consistent (but not pushy) approach sealed the deal and we are so grateful to him and the rest of the Miles and a Barr team as they sold our house very fast which put us in a great position when finding our dream home. Everyone we interacted with was professional, friendly and helpful (Rebecca, Harry, Hannah, Chelsea to name a few). They promised they’d help us find a property we loved within our budget and they certainly did! James the Ramsgate branch manager is brilliant at what he does and closed each deal smoothly between my buyer and our seller. I’d 100% recommend using the solicitors and mortgage advisor they recommend too as everything has been so smooth. Aggi the mortgage advisor worked so hard to secure us a good deal and when there were delays with the insurance company Sam kept me sane with his reassurance and updates and Gary sorted out new home insurance on the day of his own house move! Nothing was too much trouble for any person we spoke to, even on the day of completion we had issues with our removal company and they stepped in with reassurance and offers of solutions! Absolutely outstanding estate agents whom we feel are game changers in the field. They’re efficient, reliable and their customer service is fantastic. We are so grateful to Miles and Barr for going the extra mile and helping us take the leap into our wonderful forever home, thank you Ramsgate branch and team, you’re brilliant 🤩

Positives: Professional, understanding, flexible and supportive Choosing Howard to both sell our home and buy an apartment was a really sound decision. He was very personable while remaining highly professional during the selling and purchasing process. This entire process was conducted during the restrictions and challenges of the Covid pandemic which were exacerbated by the fact that we were ‘in lockdown’ abroad and had to conduct the entire process remotely. Having met Howard it was very clear to me right from the start that he was different from the other agents that my wife and I met. He put us at ease straight away and I feel the service we got from Ewe Move was second to none. Our house was sold unbelievably quickly and for over the asking price. Enjoyed the journey!

At first, we felt so frustrated with Miles & Barr as they wouldn't let us view anything until we had accepted an offer on our place. However, once we were in a proceedable position, we were able to view a big selection of properties very quickly. When we were in a position to make an offer M&B responded very quickly and kept lines of communication open. We wanted to say thank you to Rhyss, Alfie and Fran from the Canterbury office for keeping our spirits up when we thought we'd never find the right place, and their patience. It felt like we went on a real journey and in the end, it was made more enjoyable because of the people we dealt with.
