GoogleMIles & Barr provided a great service in both the sale and purchase of our property. Always professional and helpful. We had a good amount of viewers at our property, accompanied by their agents. We were very impressed by Annie, their Sales Progressor who kept us informed weekly of how our chain was going, she chased when things slowed and was always available to advise and reassure us of progress. She really took away a lot of house selling stress from us. I would recommend Miles & Barr.

GoogleI rented a house in Westgate through Miles & Barr for just over 6 months. The elaborate online process at the start of the tenancy took me by surprise and felt very onerous, but in fact it protected me as well as the landlord. I just wish I'd been warned to expect it! The house had been empty for a number of months and numerous defects showed up over time. Melissa Francis was terrific throughout, negotiating on my behalf with a not too helpful landlord, and making sure everything got fixed and also at the end managing the return of my deposit. I am very grateful to her for her expertise and support.

GoogleI have had my last few property inspections with Amanda Turner. I have rented for over ten years and I always find this process difficult and a bit stressful . Amanda is so lovely and mindful of this. She is always reassuring and kind but always professional and efficient. I wouldn't want anyone else to carry out the visit now ! Overall , as a tenant , Miles and Barr are a good , efficient company to deal with and I have no complaints in the 4 years I have been with them . But Amanda is definitely my favourite and I hugely appreciate her warm and friendly manner.

GoogleTerrible experience viewing a property with George from the Ramsgate branch. He forgot the appointment, turned up late, took a phone call while showing me around and failed to let me know that the property had been increased in price (!) to name but a few of the problems. George was not forthcoming with information and his general manner was disinterested, lazy and frankly rude.

Can not fault the start of the process, The Sales staff were brilliant, we felt they were honest and helpful, always coming back to us when we had questions. They didn't really have to sell our house as we were lucky enough to sell to our first viewer. We were not impressed by the, all be it, indirect pressure we had from their panel solicitors, despite our clearly stating we would not use them, they kept trying to get us to and labelling it as a 'mistake' if that is the case take note of our instruction that we are not using them the first time and do not continue to try and get us to sign up with panel solicitors.Once sold, although our Sales Progressor was very friendly and a nice person, we felt everything slipped from this point, we could rarely actually speak with her, we could always leave a message but she rarely called back, preferring it seemed, to email. She did eventually provide an adequate service and get things moving for us, but we felt only because we would not give up and continuously chased things.However, despite the disappointment of the after sale process, on the whole we had a good experience, the staff were all friendly and we can understand why M&B have a good reputation. We would definitely recommend them as they are, on the whole, very good at what they do.

Miles & Barr Canterbury office are very professional and have provided 1st class customer service. They have been proactive, are a great team that clearly work very well together, and their collective experience shows. The whole process from the start has been guided and easy. Having now used Miles & Barr for the second time to sell my property, I have found their online App/portal very useful and easy to use, this has allowed me in my busy schedule to quickly access information, accept viewings and keep informed and in touch, but if I need to speak to the office someone is always available to clarify any questions, offer support and solutions. The brochures and online advertising are high quality, informative and accurate. Bradley has been exceptional in handling my sale and now purchase, he has been very supportive when needed and offered creative solutions with his knowledge and expertise. The range of services M&B offer means that I have had all I need to sell my home and achieve the price I was looking for. I would highly recommend Miles & Barr to anyone looking to find their dream home, they found me mine. A big thank you to Bradley and all the team.

GoogleAll the Miles & Barr team went above and beyond to assist but especially Olly Beldeau-Simpson at the Whitstable branch in looking after my partner and I and helping us sell our property. My circumstances were exceptional however, nothing was too much trouble and Olly treated us more like a family member rather than a client. His attention to detail with a considerate and helpful manner assisted greatly in selling our property quickly and efficiently and facilitated a stress free process. I would have no hesitation in recommending Miles & Barr to family and friends.

GoogleJust completed on the purchase of my property and couldn’t be happier with the service I received. Olly was in attendance at each of the viewings at a few different properties before he suggested I viewed the property I purchased. From start to finish his communication was outstanding. He took the time to listen to my needs and wants for the property and suggested multiple properties in the area at each point of my budget. Then after finding ‘the one’ he then informed with the process and who I will hear from at each stage and passed me on to his colleagues in the sales progression team to deal with the completion. I will be using these guys when I look to buy again and will be recommending them to my friends and family. Thank you once again!

GoogleMy property sold so quuckly , I am selling my late parents home ,as the executor of their wills . It had been on the market with a different , very well known agent for 7 months and I felt it was not being actively marketed or promoted , so I made the decision to move to Miles and Barr. from the beginning Rob was amazing, he was kind taking into consideration our bereavement, and heloed with concerns as my oarents had a equity release on the property, so we only had a year to sell and we had wasted 7 months, he made it as easy as he could . Giving honest opinions and realistic advice. The house was onthe market not even a week and we had a offer and he managed to get full asking price after he felt inital offer could be improved on . From a sellers perspective ,if you are researching agents seriously consider Miles and Barr the branch i used was Whitstable but im sure their standards hold across the board . Even the photography of my parents property and descriptions were superior and the bungalow was marketed in its best light. The office staff happily answer questions , or return a call promptly with the information requested . They very much are working for the sellers , I'm sure they treat buyers equally well. I can't recommend them enough.
