Abysmal communications

Abysmal communications, poor service and prepared to waste the time of purchasers so think twice before listing your property. I made an appointment to view a property over a week a go, the agent gave me the time and day. I had a phone call in the morning to confirm I was attending. "oh yes". I arrived 20 minutes before the allotted time and left 20 minutes after, having travelled an hour to get there. No phone call, no apologies, no text. Richard Dey was supposed to be the accompanying agent - well, all I can say, anyone advertising their investment for sale with this agent will not get the service they deserve if that's anything to go by and I for one, will not have any dealings with them going forward

To start with, I had a very positive experience. However, this did not last. Their screening process is very lacking and means that the Estate Agents ended up wasting the seller's, my, time with bogus offers if they couldn't afford the mortgage. After 4 offers fell through, 5 seemed to be the charm. However, by this point I felt like I was no longer their priority on the sale. On the last few days I was threatened with Breach Of Contract rather than having it discussed and then had no communication with them on the day of except a text at 3.01pm to say: 'Hi Victoria, Congratulations on completion of Chedworth Drive. Buyer is on the way to collect keys now. Many thanks, Liam' According to the Branch Manger this is enough communication because they didn't feel the need to tell me when and that they had received the keys I posted the night before. I feel that this company needs to remember that there are two sides to a sale and I was the one that paid their bill.

The Property Centre - Quedgeley Branch (Head Office)

If you are renting a property, please doing so through TPC. I rented a flat through them for a few months and it was honestly the worst experience. Although I rented in Cheltenham, I had to deal with the Head Office branch for any maintenance issues and they were shocking with their response times or generally just fobbing me off. There is a particular woman Tracey Atkins Nash who can be quite blunt over email or phone calls. They never seem in a hurry to chase any queries up for tenants. I vacated the property nearly 2 weeks ago due to the endless shabby state of the flat and the noisy neighbours and not feeling safe. I left the flat in a far better condition than what I found it and I am still waiting for my deposit back. I have had to call and email numerous times and I just get told that they have emailed the landlord......it's been 2 weeks!! TPC should be chasing the landlord via phone for him to get his act together to return tenants deposit. I would never rent through The Property Centre again! They also don't like it when you call them out on their bad customer service. This is just my renting experience with them. I'm sure if you were selling or buying a house from them, they'd be a lot nicer.

Lorna at property centre has been managing my property sale. I can’t speak highly enough of the service she has provided, despite problems with solicitors on both sides, Lorna has gone over and above what was expected to keep both me and the buyer up to date and reassured. She has always been proactive in trying to find solutions to the issues we have experienced and guide the solicitors on both sides to bring the sale to the quickest possible resolution. I have dealt with estate and letting agents before and never had such a positive experience. I would recommend Property Centre to anyone based on the experiences I had dealing with Lorna in facilitating the sale and Lucy who I initially dealt with when putting the property on the market. Thoroughly professional throughout.

I have nothing but good praise for The Property Centre. They impressed me on the day of the viewing itself. I have been to many viewings in the past and have always felt that estate agents don't usually give their best when showing you the property. Most of them just open the main door for you and leave you to explore the place by yourself. Some won't even know answers to half of your questions! But Charlotte proved me wrong. Not only that she had good knowledge about the property but she even advised some refurb ideas which made us feel like we could actually live in that property. Just how a viewing session should be! Lorna and Allison have always been in constant touch with me during the entire process and made me feel at ease with regular updates and reassurances, especially when things were getting delayed as sometimes they do. Lorna has always been very courteous yet professional in her approach at all times. I highly recommend this company.

Recently sold our house through Property Centre and we were very happy with the level of service and attention we received from the Stroud Branch. Jame Dyer initially came to view the house as we were planning on renting it out for a while after we moved abroad, once abroad we changed our minds and decided to sell. Easy pease since Jamie already had all the necessary details to sell instead. Through no fault of PC the initial sale fell through, but they found us another buyer in this current hostile house selling environment and we were successful second time round. Overall we were very happy with how we were looked after and how they kept us informed. If anything did require a nudge, Jamie or Allison were prompt to get back to us. Having had varying experiences with Estate Agents in the area over the years, we certainly wouldn't hesitate to recommend Property Centre Stroud to sell or let your home.

Our valuation was carried out by James Ellson, Quedgeley Office, who was down to earth and obviously knew his job well. We felt comfortable with him and his company handling our sale. Viewings were plentiful, and the house was sold within a week. The staff at the Property Centre were helpful, and 'on the ball' at all times. We arranged our own conveyancing, and this proved quite protracted and we had difficulty getting information regarding progress which was very slow, but sales progressor Stephanie Taylor helped us enormously. Stephanie was in continual contact with us and was aware of the lack of information we were getting from our conveyancer, and went out of her way to press them for information regarding this lack of progress, and when it was not forthcoming, went direct to our buyer's solicitor on our behalf. Without this action we would not have made progress. Bearing in mind Stephanie had other customers to assist, she gave us 100% attention. She was dogged and determined on our behalf, whilst being very polite, and gave us the confidence that we were in good hands. Due to the timing of some of her contact with us, we assumed she worked from home - She is certainly not a 9-5er! We are really pleased we chose the Property Centre to sell our house, and thoroughly recommend them.
