Charlotte has been great throughout, she’s supported us with people viewing our home and us viewing other properties and is always enthusiastic and really gets to know the properties and what we’re looking for. Her communication is also great, she keeps us posted, follows up when she says she will and is always open and honest with her feedback which has ultimately helped us sell our home! We went to Chancellors after using another local Estate Agent who failed to sell our house and gave zero feedback. We were selling from a distance so the lack of contact had left us completely in the dark. Dealing with Chris was easy, there was no nonsense and he did exactly what he promised. The market wasn't the quickest but viewings picked up. Without fail we had a call every week whether there had been a viewing or not. Happy with the outcome and service provided.

Landlord's perspective - terrible

From a landlord perspective, absolutely terrible. They picked contractors to do work which went wrong (plumbing leaks damaging my property). I replaced a shower and then a year later they told me it needed replacing again (no pushback to the contractor on my behalf). After a tenancy they started showing people round and only weeks later and having been advised to lower the rent did I discover the property had been left in a terrible state (they should have advised my after the first viewing). They also advised a tenant to change the locks (without informing me!) so at the end of the tenancy when I returned arriving late I couldn't enter and had to sleep in the car.

Exceptionally safe hands

Grace Betts is a a super property manager. She's calm, proactive, and very competent. She also picks up the phone! And she gets things fixed the very same day: which is completely exceptional, in our experience. We had several snarl-ups with our buy to let and Grace has sorted them all out. It's great to feel our property is being managed by such very safe hands.

I Would not recommend Chancellors, I have lost all faith in relations of customer services and branch representatives, there has been nothing but hassle since the start, I am now being invoiced energy bills when I never even moved into the property (Chancellors mistakes), I have had un answered emails!! And was given a contract that wasn’t even possible to proceed with. Hope this review helps others as the past four weeks has been nothing but stress.

Our experience with selling our property through Chancellors has been extremely positive. Chris Dorsett was very proactive in getting people to view the property even before the marketing material was all complete. His communication is excellent, guiding us through the process and keeping us in the picture with frequent phone calls followed up by emails. Chancellors also provide a portal so you can see all the information relating to your property - offers, responses etc - and information on the state of the local market. Even though we have now accepted an offer and things are in the hands of the solicitors, Chris is continuing to make sure any issues are rapidly addressed. I would definitely use them again.
