GoogleI've been to Japan twice, and I always complain about how the food here in the UK is different from the food in Japan. I came to Sakura at the suggestion of one of my friends, and I can say that this place has the most authentic Japanese taste you can find in the UK (well, at least around Portsmouth). The atmosphere is fantastic, and the service is very good. I will definitely visit again.

GoogleAccused us of not posting our keys into their office and once proved incorrect with a video they changed their story to only one key being in the envelope instead of the three actually in there. Forcing us to change locks out of our deposit and laughed over the phone saying “prove it” and blaming us for posting them on a Sunday instead of in person. Also very invasive for viewings and impossible to get replies from.

GoogleThe highlight was cosy seating. Delicious food served in ample portions along with tasty sauces. A variety of beverages available and a plentiful menu to choose from. When paying the bill our server crunched the digits on a calculator which added to the experience.

GoogleGood portion. But the taste is not really good for an Asian. Just better than the supermarket one. The greatest is a lot of parking space in surrounding area.

GoogleTerrible communication, they take ages replying to emails which means we have to chase them up with phone calls which they then reply saying they'll call you back or to wait for an email which never comes. All of this just to answer simple questions which shouldn't take long to find an answer. Seems like they have no organisation and have no idea of what's going on as they fail to answer simple questions. Basically had to beg for our application to be sent in to a landlord and it still took over a day to get it done even with us urging them. The viewing was lovely and the person showing us around was really nice but the experience with communication was just terrible and unprofessional.

GoogleThanks for a great family lunch Sakura! This restaurant is a real find. The staff are very warm, welcoming and give good advice on the food. The food was fresh tasty and well cooked. The portion sizes were generous and the price very reasonable. We'll definitely go back.

GoogleDid not order main meal immediately when asked for drinks, but then was ignored despite repeatedly try to order. The staff later apologised but food served was wrong. The ramen was also instant noodle with instant broth, not what you expect at this price point. Expected a better experience base on the reviews, would not recommend the ramen.

GoogleOutstanding Japanese cousin, asian pearl on the British islands. Sakura returned the faith to me into a great food experience in UK. Their ramen is one of the best I've ever tried. Even if you haven't booked a table the staff always tries to find a spare one for last minute customers.
