I recently bought a property through Starkings & Watson. Everyone i spoke to was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. I would particularly like to thank Liz and Will who i felt bent over backwards to support me all the way through my purchase. I was constantly updated. Solicitor issues and processes were clearly explained when i didn't understand and when things didn't seem to be going so well or as fast as an impatient person like me would like. Liz and Will reassured me that everything was ok and did everything they could to get things moving immediately after my conversations with them i.e. speaking to the vendor and chasing solicitors. They made what i imagined would be a stressful time run smoothly and they got everything completed very quickly. I love my new home and i have Liz and Will to thank so much for helping me to buy it. Liz Hammond was totally engaged in the sales process from the start and her enthusiasm, professionalism, attention to detail and commitment were refreshing (it's always reassuring when someone is prepared to stay late and respond to every call)! Sean's initial valuation and professional advice proved to be spot-on; Jacob's photographs were very pleasing and we were delighted to find that our property featured in a whole range of media from newspapers through to social media. Finally, Will Crawford used his knowledge and experience to guide us through the sale and purchase process, always keeping us up-to-date and providing sound and professional advice. Just purchased a property through Starkings and Watson and couldn't be happier with the service I received. Harry showed me around the property initially and was very approachable and friendly. Once I put in an offer Carl was very helpful in pointing me in the direction of conveyancers and mortgage advisors which was a godsend as I, as a first time buyer, had limited knowledge in these fields. What should have been a simple sale, no onward chain, vacant possession and first time buyers became a long drawn out and at times made me extremely angry with the buyers conveyancers I believe the buyers were equally frustrated by them to. Throughout this Carl. Jamie and Caroline kept a clear perspective despite me venting my frustrations. They tried to speed exchange up but also ran into lack of communication from the conveyancers. In the end it all came together exchange on a Tuesday completion 3 days later. I thank them for their efforts and calming me down as we considered pulling out of the sale. Janet and Daniel are 5 star agents- read on Background : yet another decent - landlord sale of a bog standard terraced Norwich house due to government renting nonsense making renting out unfeasible thus depriving a young couple and child of a cheaply rented home. Janet and Daniel, at both ends of this long drawn out selling process, managed to keep smiling and deserved the hard won accolade and bonus. SW could not be faulted but even they could not cope with a hopeless buyers solicitor from Kings Lynn - if this firm were farmers we would all starve as they checked every seed for no discernible purpose. So before selling folks and using ŚW, just check through with SW and the buyers who their lawyers are and their reputation. Sellers should not be at the mercy of awful solicitors costing you extra council tax, service charges, visit costs, risks of squatters, with every delay. On the selling side EG Law with a super - charged online legal process, if somewhat remote, is associated with SW and would be my choice.

We bought a property that was marketed by Starkings and Watson (Bungay office). From first contact to completion we were blown away by the commitment and communication of all the staff. Everybody we spoke to was professional, responded rapidly to questions and returned calls when they said they would. Will Crawford was exceptional and provided a better service to us than our own estate agent. We welcomed the almost weekly updates via email which kept us abreast of how the chain was progressing. We even received a small moving in gift which was such a lovely touch. Still unpacking boxes but if we do ever move again we would go straight to Starkings and Watson.
