I was a first time buyer, buying a house not in a chain and it took 4 months to complete after constant chasing from me! Such slow service, mainly due to the poor attention to detail from the sellers using Sharman Quinney's in house conveyancers. Time after time the contracts had to be amended due to careless errors such as spelling mistakes, wrong names on contract etc. Very frustrating! There was no communication to apologise for the countless delays, the estate agents lost interest in helping me once I had my offer accepted. Would never recommend - avoid.

As a first time buyer, we had little knowledge on how to apply for a mortgage, but luckily we were allocated Kirsty Thain as our mortgage advisor and we feel so grateful for all her help and support throughout the process. We had lots of issues along the way as our personal circumstances made it hard to get a mortgage but Kirsty didn’t give up trying and working so hard to find us a lender and it eventually led to a mortgage offer. Due to COVID the sale took a while as we were constantly taking the house on and off the market whilst we self isolate and SQ were quite patient with us. SQ managed to get us a lot of viewings and people through the door and secured a sale well in excess of the price published. I dealt with Michael at the Werrington office, he was fabulous from start to finish at guiding me through the house buying process and chasing up every query I had. I was a user time buyer, buying an investment property. Unfortunately the first house Michael found and I fell in love with fell through due to survey problems, Michael quickly found me a number of other options and promptly found me two properties that I loved. Recently got on the property ladder and it was thanks to Sharman Quinney Warrington. We have had a great experience with them even though it took a while due to the pandemic, the team have been amazing with us. All questions and queries answered, Michael was really supportive in getting us through the process. Also we used a solicitor through the business, Khuram has been exceptional and really understood that we were first time buyers so he did an amazing job of getting things sorted for us and also explaining everything. Tom Bailey-Smith was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. He was responsive and attentive and always willing and happy to go the extra mile to get me across the line. I could not have asked for a better mortgage advisor and were it not for Tom's hard work, dedication and expertise, I would not have been able to secure my house. My young family and I were due to move into a property this January. We viewed the property a month before, and Sharman Quinney sent us a contract to sign. Throughout the process communication was very poor. We rang the office more or less everyday in the week up to the move as we had yet to receive a signed contract from the landlord. We were assured everything was progressing but 48 hours before we were due to move in (a date that was agreed by both parties), Sharman Quinney revealed that they had had no contact with the landlord for ten days. Because we were due to be moving in two days time, we had organised movers, new nurseries and schools for our children, and end of tenancy cleaners. All this cost considerable time and money. Sharman Quinney then confessed that the property would not be able to be let to us as there was a burst pipe. Even if this were true, all of this could have been communicated to us days before. If there had been worryingly no contact with the landlord, this should’ve been said to us. Instead, we were left homeless and now have nowhere to move into. As a mother of a family of two children under four, this is incredibly distressing.

⚠️ Warning ⚠️ I would NEVER recommend SQ. Me and my partner have been renting our 4 bed house since jan 2020. We reported issues within a week of us moving in . Most of the jobs reported have not been completed and we are now a year on !! Yes a whole 12 months . Some of the issues are a breach of H and S. I am shocked at the way things have been dealt with . Staff at the Peterborough letting branch do not take H and S seriously . I reported the smoke alarm not working before Christmas and it’s still not replaced !!! It’s the only one in the house ! I have brought one because they have not provided us with one ! There is so many repairs that need doing and they really don’t care . If you want to keep your family safe . DONT use them .......
