After my great review last year, I am afraid that this year I have to give a rather disappointing rate. I requested to change of bank account for rent to transfer back in Dec 2020 and my rental agreement renewed in March. I emailed to the branch manager, to ensure its all updated. She said its in the system. When it came to March, the rent went to my old account, so I emailed again, she asked me to resend the form again. She told me it was all in the system. To have a peace of mind, I called the credit control and they told me the bank account hasn't updated. So I called, and she told me I need to add a signature same as the agreement, which I did immediately. I was told the rent would be transferred yesterday or today. I didn't receive any statement or rent. I called the accounts department again to find out she was sending the blank form to them, so they are holding the payment. The accounts department told me they now received the form but it would take a process to get approval from administration and it will be more delay. I am totally shocked as to how come a simple bank account change is so complicated. Considering, I sent this request back in December last year. I feel that they passing the ball around and not sorting things out. I have to made around 8 calls and few emails to try to sort this out. As a landlord, the late rent income meaning I have to pay late charges somewhere. I really am disappointed and stress out to deal with this, which I shouldn't have to spend my time calling around their department to ensure things to sort out. Though I didn't want to make a fuss about it, but I though I needed to share my experience here. (old review in 2019) Very impressed with the great improvement of the letting services. Ann and her team has done a fantastic job to find me new tenants within couple of weeks. Great communication keeping me in the loop all the time. Highly recommended to all landlords looking for good professional and reliable estate agent in the area.

I use Bairstow Eves ( Peterborough )to let out my properties. I find Eleanor and her team so friendly and professional. Living remote from the properties means I have difficulties with attending to issues. That said this is where the BE team have really stepped up and assisted with a number of additional Tenants liaisons…which I’m sure are above their normal remit. This give me peace of mind. I find I can have a more hands off approach knowing they are being managed by a professional team. Excellent service all round, Thanks, much appreciated.

I needed a house valuation doing for remortgage purpose, rang up few different companies, and as soon as they heard that there won't be a sale out of me, they were not interested. Then I rung Bairstow Eves thinking it will be the same, but to my pleasent surprise, Chris Long was beyond helpful and booked a visit to do valuation in no time. He did show up to the appointment on time, went over and above to help me out and explain all I needed to know, knowing ,that there will not be a sale out of this. I work in sales myself and I know how quickly some sales people loose interest in customers if they can sense there wont be a sale of it, so employees like Chris adds a huge value to the company, he values every customer and treats them all the same. Cant even deal with Bairstow Eves anymore, must go through Countrywide. I haven't had hot water in a week, property manager natalie sexton just laughed on the phone and said she'll look into it. It's taken multiple calls just to get hold of someone only to find out they havent done anything. Terrible service would not recommend. In the past it's taken 9 weeks to get a cooker fixed, anything that's not absolutely essential you might as well not bother- useless and dishonest.

I used Baristow Eves recently for the sale of my property. I was really impressed with the effort that was put in to selling my property quickly. Before the advert was posted there had been 3 viewings; within 4 weeks the house sold for over the asking price. I was kept updated at every stage of the process, and working with Shafiul was a pleasure. Compared to other estate agents Baristow are definitely the better option. I used another one previously that one maned 4 viewings in 12 weeks. Baristow got more viewings in 1 week and for the same property. Great service, great sataff. My partner and I were looking for a property to rent with our 2 dogs, which was pretty hard to find. On contacting practically all the agents in the city and asking for them to keep our details on file, incase anything came up which we were looking for, none of them did. Except for this agency and a very helpful man called Curtis. He was extremely helpful, not pushy at all, regularly checked in on us but in the right proportion, he was just generally so helpful. We did find a house in the end with a different agency who accepted our dogs however on getting a courtesy call from Curtis not long after we signed the paperwork, he again was helpful and sent us some details about contents insurance.
