Absolute shambles of a company. They have been due me a balance of about £600 now for six weeks. So far they have seemingly sent out two cheques which have both have been lost in the post . They offered me a bank transfer but it was going to cost £42 for this which I think is outrageous after the experience I have had with them. So after agreeing to waive the cost of the bank transfer, they have overlooked my email…

Awful experience! when I moved in from another country, they just gave me the keys and no indication about how to manage electricity and gas even if i asked so I didn't have anything for one week, i had to sort it by myself (Boiler didn't work,...) Check in report was done briefly where everything was brand new and super clean (and it was not...) instead of check out report was done in every details just to have money back => untrustworthy. I wouldn't recommend to rent with them

I was very pleased with the support and help I received from the Westhill branch of Aberdein Considine. My house was sold very quickly and efficiently and the girls found me a bungalow to purchase. I was kept informed at every stage and found the whole experience very reassuring. This is the second time I have used the Westhill branch and would have no hesitation in recommending Aberdein Considine to anyone.

This was our second time buying/selling with Aberdein Considine and can't thank them enough. The Lothian Road branch in particular have been fantastic. They gave us good, solid advice during the recent turbulent months of the property market, whilst also being understanding and supportive throughout. I feel like i've spoken to almost everyone in the office, and they've always been happy to help! Becky and Alana in particular have been excellent.

After many years of relying on Russell & Aitken I was rather disconcerted to learn that the business had amalgamated with the larger Aberdein Considine.I was somewhat relieved to learn however that there was continuity by way of Dianne Paterson, Lynda Gibb and Liz Banks, on reception.Our property sale was handled seamlessly by the former familiars in the manner had come to expect from past experiences with R. & A.

TrustpilotPLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I'm a mortgage broker whose been unlucky to have this mob instructed as a 'free legal service' for a few clients by the lender. Shocking service. Should be able to put zero stars. Emails just bounce back, phone rings out, impossible to communicate with. Even the lenders tell us that they're bad and always getting complaints. If you get the opportunity with your lender, take the cashback offer and instruct your own solicitor.

I am mortgage broker and referred a case to them, I spoke to their manager BEN, this guy have no clue on what is going on. I don't know why the review has no negative star and need minimum 1 star as minimum (I would love to give them minus 10 star if available negative scoring). This company has no sense of business, a simple re-mortgage case was stretched 3 months plus time and asking for redemption figures 2 times and this figures expire before completion. Manager has no clue on what is going on the case and upon asking any question they say "We don't Know". I am sure they do not like to hear this answer for their self.

Atrocious. PLEASE AVOID!!!Dear Aberdein Considine, in dealing with my remortgaging application, your service was WORSE THAN atrocious! By mid June, I had to chase up the mortgage by myself with the new bank, who told me that an offer had been made on the 8th of May and that it was with my solicitors (you!). However, your team sat on this for over a month. When I phoned, I got some nonsense about email and paper comms, and other such excuses.Likewise, after my remortgage was done, I was still getting notices of non payment from my previous lender, who, on my phoning them, said did not know that they had to close my mortgage account. I asked why and they said your solicitor You!) should have informed them. The people I spoke to in your team were friendly, but your organisational process is poor. It really is unacceptable,. You left me for a month on variable rates paying more than I should, because of your carelessness, and what's worse, no one actually apologised!

GoogleHaving just moved from England to Scotland I rented a property managed by Aberdein Considine. As independent estate agents are not regulated by the council (my daughter rents through PKC and never had any issues with the flat or the landlord) agency really has no interest if the rental property is in a suitable condition to be rented out or not. Maintenance issues are handled incredibly slowly and with out care. I raised issues with the fact out of the 3 radiators in the property only 1 worked (just) and the kitchen window would simply fall out if it wasn’t secured by the flimsy latch causing a massive hazard, safety issue. Both bedroom windows couldn’t be closed correctly and seals had perished beyond use. The state of the property upon moving in it was clear it hadn’t been cleaned at all before I got there, and I don’t mean just a bit of dust! I had been in the property for about 10 days when I got round to informing Aberdein Considine about the issues (beginning of September) I was told someone would come out to measure the windows which they did after about a week and I was told it would take a month to replace...fast forward to November and still no communication! I then decided enough was enough! No help or communication, spending a huge amount of money to keep the property warm due to lack of suitable radiators, I searched online what I could do. By law every landlord has to comply with certain regulations in order to rent out premises. Property has to be waterproof, wind and draft proof and with working gas and electricity. Also any windows have to be secure and also in good working condition so you can air the premises and also avoid condensation. And all fixes and repairs are to be carried out in a reasonable time. The property I was renting out for 3 months since September 2020 (I have since moved out) was drafty, cold, electric heaters not working, windows falling out of the frame. All that the agency was able to do for me was to assure that it will be fixed some time in January. That’s 5 months after notifying the agency of the maintenance issues. Staff also not very pleasant to deal with, very arrogant. Does not accept accountability.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

We were allocated this lot as part of a remortgage package. This simple remortgage has taken over 4 months. I was asked for further documentation which I duly sent the same day... I followed with a phone to check it was sufficient 4 days later and they confirmed it was and told me that it had been forwarded to the completion team and I would here something in 4 days... 4 weeks later I recieved another email requesting further information.. I think it took 3 redemption figures from ,y existing lender before it was finally completed.I was literally one day from cancelling the whole thing and starting with someone new.Aberdein Considine please do not bother replying saying you would like to look into it as you have said this to so many people leaving a simialr review. You are obviuosly unable to improve or worse, you dont care about your clients at all.

What is the point in having online forms to sign and fill out if you still have to return hard copies anyway. If you have to send one you may as well send the all. Also the online system is not clear or the easiest to use, I would just avoid it altogether. Lenders choice, I certainly would not use them.

Going through remortgage using this outfit , they have had all signed documents from us ( plus signed witness personal guarantee forms , current lender statements account )details from us for over 4 weeks. Remortgage offer was dated 11/03/22 , it expires 09/06/22 . The item outstanding was for them to request a redemption statement, to date 3 weeks this still is outstanding. We are likely to lose the remortgage offer. Total shambles
