Mediocre. I was assigned Aberdein Considine by Natwest as part of their remortgage offer of free legal fees. Had I been given the choice, knowing what I know now, I would have chosen another conveyancer. The good bits - remortgage was straightforward as my circumstances allowed no complications and therefore the process was straightforward and completed in good time.The not so good - do not expect any communication from Aberdein Considine throughout the process. They will not contact you unless you chase them, and even then, it's random as to whether they actually bother replying. For example - no confirmation of receipt of any documentation whether it be uploaded online or sent by post, no confirmation of mortgage offer received or any communication regarding any sort of confirmation of contact from Natwest to me or Aberdein Considine, no confirmation of any dates i.e. completion (had to be chased), once remortgage was completed and funds released to Aberdein Considine, I had to chase to get MY money sent to me, and even now having received the funds I have yet to receive any communication to confirm as such from Aberdein Considine. Overall throughout the whole remortgage process I have received 3 emails - one asking to confirm who I am (no follow up from Aberdein Considine), one sending me the target completion date (after me chasing), and one apologising for missing the completion date (after me chasing on the day of the first target completion date).So overall, they do what is required, but don't expect anything in the way of customer service or any proactive communication on their part.

One of the reasons I selected Aberdein Considine was their “one-stop shop” ability to manage the whole process and I was delighted with how well that worked - from Matt’s sensitive handling of the marketing through to Jade’s diligent conveyancing work, all supported by Jennifer’s efficient office management, the process worked seamlessly. At all times I felt well informed with the latest status and next steps and everyone involved was a pleasure to deal with. My conveyancer in England actually remarked himself on how proactive AC had been throughout the process. Thank you all, I will certainly recommend your services.

GoogleMy daughter used these agents for private renting. They are the absolute worst. They have no interest in helping or offering good advice when my daughter had an issue with her flat mate. They are now trying to withhold a £900 deposit they took off both my daughter and her flatmate by using a lot of underhanded dirty tactics. What a way to treat a couple of 20 year olds. You are an absolute disgrace of a company. This will be sorted one way or the other and it won't be involving you robbing young girls. Whoever gave you 5 stars on here must be working for you. You don't even deserve 1 star. Avoid at all costs if you don't want ripped off.
We are sorry to learn of your dissatisfaction. Upon reviewing the case it appears as though we have submitted a deposit proposal on behalf of our client in accordance with the terms of the Tenancy Deposit Schemes (Scotland) Regulations 2011. Details of these regulations and the practicalities of the scheme were provided during the tenancy. Ultimately the matter can be referred to the scheme’s adjudication service, full details of which can also be found via the link. We do appreciate the personal difficulties encountered when a dispute arises between co-tenants in a joint and several tenancy and we do try to deal with these matters in a sympathetic and professional manner. GoogleOver the past 5 years I have used Aberdein Considine to buy and sell 3 properties and to rent out 3 properties. Throughout this time I have been impressed with their professionalism and friendliness. They reply to all queries very quickly and are extremely prompt in dealing with any situation. I would not have continued to use them if I was not receiving excellent customer service and I would not hesitate to recommend Aberdein Considine for all aspects of buying, selling or renting property.

This leasing agent failed to effectively manage a buy to let property on my behalf. I frequently had to remind them they were to represent me and not just tenants; The agnet failed to transfer utility bills in to tenants names leaving me with their debt; they failed to provide accurate inspection reports and consequently property was returned damaged - double glazing window, walls and one carpet. The tenants defaulted on rent and through that period I had to encourage agent to actively manage the situation. This they failed to do - no forwarding address was obtained for either tenant; the property was returned in an uninhabitable state, rooms were littered with belongings tenants could not be bothered to move and 6 car loads of discarded belongings were left for me to clear. When I asked the agent about the state of the property on return of keys I was advised "it is not as clean as you would wish". Seriously the toilet alone was like a scene from trainspotting. Landlords beware! Aberdein and Considine are a nightmare to work with and quite ineffective as property managers.
We are sorry to learn of your dissatisfaction. Unfortunately letting property is not without risk for landlords, which we do our utmost to minimise. On this occasion the tenant failed in their obligations resulting in the property not being left to the standard expected. They also left withou t providing forwarding details despite being asked for it. It is clear that a breakdown in the tenants personal relationship resulted in the tenancy falling into rental arrears. Whilst we appreciate this will be of little consolation to you, we do believe our rental collection service to be robust, which is the reason why the number of properties under our management, affected by arrears, is less than 1%. We do of course sympathise with your position and fully recognise the reasons for your frustration and anger. However, as previously indicated, we feel that the situation is entirely due to the tenants actions. In an effort to minimise further the risks to landlords, we have recently launched a guaranteed rent service meaning when tenants do not pay, the rent is still paid to landlord.

It has been over 4 months since I started my 'simple' re-mortgage with this company, and I am STILL waiting for them to release MY money. I have spoken to someone different almost every time I call, been passed around, ignored and delayed. I should have had my money sent by cheque last week, but, after I called to chase them up, I have now been told there is a glitch in the system and the payment hasn't even been sent!! I have been charged £200 every month in late charges so the whole process has cost me nearly £1000 and now they are also asking me to pay for the privilege of having the money transferred into my account. An absolute joke and I hope neither myself or anyone I know has to ever deal with this company again

STILL Apalling!!! My remortgage was in 2022...yet 8th May I receive an email from AC saying because they did not check my mortgage deed properly it needed to be re-signed. The Land registry informed them on 27th March saying in 20 days the deed woudl be cancelled if no response. I received an email from AC on 8th May, 6 weeks later. They are lazy, incompetent, arrogant and useless. DO NOT TOUCH THEM!!!

We chose Aberdein Considine Estate Agency and Legal Services over two others who provided valuations and quotations for their services.We found from the initial valuation, through negotiations for sale of our own property and purchase of our new property to be relatively pain free for property transactions.Of special note was the quality of the photography package provided for our sale - we could not have asked for better.It was useful to have everything done under the one roof, as any queries across the areas were dealt with promptly, and we liked the online tool to track our sale.Overall we found everyone we dealt with to be both professional and helpful, thank you.
