The level of individual attention and care given by the team at Simon Blyth was remarkable. Maria Diaz visited our house, advised on the marketing and personally led the sale. She was exceptional in her professional and friendly service and support during the whole process, not least at the key points, such as pricing, dealing with offers and negotiating. She was focussed on us as vendors and took careful account of our particular needs and gave us clear guidance when needed. She took a pro-active role throughout the whole process and kept us fully informed. Highly recommended.

Absolutely terrible from start to…

Absolutely terrible from start to finish. I was looking to buy a property, twice contacted them with a list of questions for the seller, twice I was told somebody would be in touch and twice nobody called despite me chasing (I had to play detective and track down the seller myself). Then, both parties having agreed to try and progress rapidly (6 weeks), 2 weeks away from our completion date , I find my solicitor has not heard anything, I find the sellers solicitor has not heard anything and it turns out , Simon Blyth estate agents (Kirkburton) have done absolutely nothing despite being chased. A month completely wasted which cost me a lot. It does beg the question - what exactly do they do for their money? Rightmove does all the matching of buyer and seller, after that they just seem to make things worse?

Until Maria joined the team at penistone I was in the process of changing estate agents. Maria found a buyer for me and kept me informed throughout the whole process. The sale wasn't trouble free due to the length of the chain, however Maria worked tirelessly to make things happen. she was also very helpful with my purchase even though she wasn't acting on the seller's behalf, the estate agents of where i was purchasing were quite demanding. Because the sale of my property wasn't straightforward , which from my experience is quite normal I was glad that I had Maria ironing out the problems.

Has to be the winner in (Awful Service) Award! Shameful behaviour when it comes to submitting an offer and underhanded tactic for squeezing another penny from a buyer but loosing a potential buyer because you need another few hundred pound to cover the advertising. Not turning up for viewing appointments for potential buyers! 3rd time for me alone waiting over 40min for the agent to show.. your terrible and you know it. My advise and the advise of 70% of other people on TP is to look at others.. good luck people.

Horrible service and a disrespectful follow up

Horrible, and poor is some of the few words that can only describe SB! Customers (me) having to wait in the rain without even a phone call to let me know that they forgot about my viewing. Are you still working on a chalk board? Even after a call to them on the day to ask if they are turning up and they just say we are running behind. That’s it! I even made a cash offer and was having a final look before proceeding. I’m sure all the vendors would love know a cash offers has been lost due to SB poor follow up service. If this is how customers are treated I would suggest you use someone else people.

Simon Blyth, an estate agent that helps cement the stereotype that estate agents are *****. After waiting half an hour for him to turn up to our appointment we tried his office, which just rang out.
