We have moved a couple of times in Penarth and generally found the other agencies involved in those moves to be good. But I would really caution sellers against using Jeffery Ross. At every stage of the process we found them to be unsatisfactory and, if it hadn't been for the other agents involved in the chain, the sale would not have happened. At our initial viewing, the agent lacked both knowledge and interest in basic information about the house and position of the sellers. But was also rude, not bothering to look up from his phone when we were talking to him. When our offer had been accepted we found them even harder to deal with. Whenever I called our named contact, the phone was unanswered and messages were not returned. Emails went unanswered until we had to explicitly ask for confirmation they had been received and even then we got confirmation the email had been received but no substantive response. We lacked confidence that issues were being raised with the sellers. Our agent and solicitor found them equally difficult to deal with, facing similar issues. On the one occasion they proactively contacted us, it was to ask me for information on the chain and how the sale was progressing. If it hadn't been for the other agents in the chain, the sale wouldn't have happened. I've never written a negative review before but when choosing an estate agent there isn't always a lot to go on and with many other competent agents available in Penarth I felt compelled to caution people against Jeffery Ross who caused so much stress and ultimately would have lost the sale, if it hadn't been for the other agents involved in the chain.

My husband and I have sold two properties in Penarth in quick succession with the help of Paul Davies. It's no secret that being stuck in long chains is difficult and we were at the top of a long change on both occasions. Paul's talent is being honest about how to manage all the buyers and sellers in this process. On one occasion he went to visit the seller who had just lost a buyer and found out they really wanted to stay in the chain as they had fallen in love with their prospective home. The chain held as we waited for this new buyer. The upshot was the chain held and the eventual sale when through. What I like about Paul is his genial manner and pro active problem solving skills in the most difficult circumstances. Jeffrey Ross has a central person who managers the sales process but we found it best for progress reports and what we needed was Paul with his knowledge of the local market in Penarth,, his people skills and sound knowledge of the legal/financial process.

I transferred the sale of my late partner's property to Jeffrey Ross after the first estate agents didn't really meet expectations. It was difficult for me to sell somewhere that had so many memories and Jeffrey Ross, in particular Paul Davies, were wonderful. Caring and kind and took the time to really get to know the apartment and everything about it. The chain fell through a few times through no ones fault (well, maybe our shortest ever reigning prime minister) which was harrowing but they kept me positive and each time it sold again really quickly due to their knowledge of the area, the property and their thorough and professional approach.
