A really positive experience

A really positive experience from start to finish. Having previously planned to let privately, we decided instead to engage Davis Tate as they had sold us our home so we felt they could offer local knowledge as well as letting expertise and knowledge of our house and locality. Matthew was not only fast and accurate in listing our property, but also a constant source of calm and efficiency (we were letting to buy so this was potentially stressful!) and a pleasure to deal with. We would use again and highly recommend.

Cherry Burgess found us a buyer quickly and when this sale fell through at the eleventh hour (not Davis Tate's fault) she found us another buyer within a week. A very satisfactory price was negotiated. We were kept fully informed throughout the sale process. Cherry Burgess and subsequently Richard Sutton kept pressure on the buyer's solicitor to get contract's exchanged in a timely way. It was altogether a very satisfactory process. All staff at Davis Tate, Pangbourne have been courteous, helpful and professional.

I am a first time buyer and everyone warned me that buying a house is one of the most stressful things you can do in life. Well I have to say that Richard Sutton from Davis Tate in Pangbourne was absolutely brilliant. From being shown the property, to negotiating the purchase right through to after sales care Richard and his team were fantastic. I honestly cannot fault them. As is usual with a house purchase there were one or two things that needed 'ironing out' but these issues were done efficiently and with good grace. I felt he worked for both the vendor and myself and wanted a mutually amicable solution to the issues that inevitably arrive with a purchase. I will definitely sell my property through Davis Tate and would recommend them to anyone. From acceptance of the offer to completion was exactly 8 weeks. We had a tight time scale and it was achieved which was vitally important to me. My dealings were predominantly via email and the majority of the time I had responses within ten minutes. I felt that nothing was too much trouble. I loved the after sales care too, everything down to the beautiful keyring on my new house keys and the very thoughtful change of address cards. DAVIS TATE are absolutely brilliant.

Cherry was very efficient, professional and always fed back the result of viewings. She reviewed the advert to emphasise the appropriate details; regularly sent updates and was always pleasant to deal with. I was impressed that when she was away for a few days she had informed her colleague, Richard, who was then equipped to deal with developments in a very professional way. Cherry went to great length to reassure me that my purchaser was still enthusiastic when there was a short delay in the completion date. I can't thank her enough. I would recommend this agent.

the agents were quick in getting a viewing organised and were pro active with the vendors throught out the process. Our offer was put forward efficiently and they understood the strong position we were in and made this a positive when passing on our offer.Cherry was particularly good helping both parties come to a mutually agreement when we had unexpected expense highlighted by the survey. I felt that she was fair to both sides through out the process. She also saw the sale through to the end , helping speed up the process when able.Whilst the completion date was delayed because of current mortgage changes at no point did we feel hassled by the agent. First estate agent we have experienced who actually worked in a manner that made the fee seem justifiable with good recommendations on how to manage the sale in the tricky market of 2013 resulting in 34 viewings and 11 offers. They went to considerable lengths to check the viability of each offer in terms of ability to proceed and Having achieved a 'sale' subject to contact continued to work just as hard to drive through to an exchange and a completion. Would also recommend the use of their in house davis tate conveyancing service, which proved fast and efficient as well as using phone and email to speed things along. Finally Cherry Burgess was an absolute gem. to only in terms of professional efficiency but also in being sympathetic and supportive through all the trials of house selling.
