Amazing and supportive sales team

We are first time buyers with little experience of the mortgage process and the sales staff at Countryside have been nothing but helpful and supportive from start to finish. Richard in particular went above and beyond to ensure that we were kept up to date with developments and helped ensure that we were able to get the best possible out of the help to buy process. They offered really good advice and were happy to answer any random questions we had. I would recommend them to anyone.

Our Dream home

We bought our dream home through countryside and have been blown away throughout the whole process and are in love with our new family home.When we attended the sales office we were met with Martin and Rachael who answered all of our questions and were with us every step of the way from show home viewing to choosing our carpets.The site manager graham talking us through various things when we visited during building was fab.Billie in the main office was amazing, we had a nightmare with the chain through selling our house and she supported out solicitors and estate agents in chasing everything and keeping us informed. If it wasn’t for billie we may have just let our dream home go. Thanks to her we got our house.Since moving in Connor and Craig have been amazing putting right any snags (which there have been very few of) they have been more than happy to come in and put things right and have always come when they said they would. If you keep in mind just how many properties they are on our site and there is just a handful of them resolving any problems the timescales are incredible.We have had the best experience which is the polar opposite to our last new build experience with another developer. We would 100% recommend countryside. The finish to the houses and attention to detail along with the added extras you get is another level.Thank you to everyone mentioned above for making our experience amazing and for building and supporting us in getting our dream home.

Wilson Chase - Terrible build quality and Rat infestation!

I bought a new home on the Wilson Chase development in Liverpool in September 2019 and it has been a disaster start! Our back garden resembles a lake after only a shower of rain due to the builders not digging out the clay soil and using top soil when laying the turf. I have patio doors that have gaps in them big enough almost that my cat can get in and out without me opening the doors! Plasterwork resembles a roller coaster of a ride in most bedrooms and when the wind blows I fear for my roof. The whole development, due to the disruption of the rat habitat has a bad rat infestation, the council are aware and are writing to the developer to put a pest control protocol in place, which should have been done from the start. The council are fed up of calls reporting rats on the development. If you call customer service and nothing ever happens the site management team should be sacked for letting the sub contractors get away with shoddy workmanship! Am I being picky or am I just wanting what I paid for?

Poor customer service

What can I say? Awful customer service after viewing a large showhome in Bishop's Stortford recently and expressed an interest in buying it. Was met by a very grouchy lady in the office who told me I couldn't actually buy it as it wasn't for sale! What a.waste of time. I asked if more of this style house was planned to be built in another phase. "Yes, but not until mid 2021". "Could you keep me posted?" No, you'll just have to check your emails!" Totally gobsmacked. Daughter and I couldn't believe this person was in sales. I'll keep my cash then....Probably a lucky escape after looking at the other Countryside reviews.

What a whirlwind couple of days, resulting in completing our reservation for a new build on the Dutton Field development.The whole experience from the very first time of speaking to and meeting Annabel their sales consultant was a pleasure.Annabel has made the whole process to date very informative, helpful and more important kept us up to date with the new builds, while we were selling our home.Annabel, took all the time we needed to complete the reservation process, explaining all about the build process of our new home, what's included etc even given time to choose our new kitchen. I have purchased a new home in the past, but have to say, Annabels manner and helpfulness to date has been excellent to compliment the details of a countryside new build, I do hope these words don't come back and bite me once we get the keys to our new home come June 2020.Bill and Sarah.

Nearly 2 years warranty will be expired…

Nearly 2 years warranty will be expired on next month- Mar, I started to send email to book the last final maintenance work from their Vistry Merseyside and Cheshire West group since from last year Nov, but 3 months no reply from them on the appointment date and even called them they just asked me keep resend the email, how this pattern of reply can be existed in this world, and it’s NO not LOW service after we bought the house and no hope to wait their follow up maintenance! Just wait a GOOD LUCK from the god if really can receive their reply finally, some day……will be happened!

Best way to buy a new house!

Our experience of buying our first house with Countryside (Wren Green development) has been fantastic. From our first interaction with Angie and Lisa in the sales office through to dealing with their legal team everything has been explained well and in detail.We are yet to complete but we thought we would leave a review before completion just to give a shout out to the hard work Angie, Lisa and the whole team put in to ensure the buying process is as smooth and enjoyable as possible.We would have no hesitation in buying from them again.

Bought our ellesmere port property off…

Bought our ellesmere port property off plan a little over 18 months ago, (the dee), we found the sales team Penny and annabel very helpful even answering questions on their days off, there is no pushy sales and you are treated like a friend, which in viewing other new build companies before I found those to be very aggressive with trying to push a sale, you won't get any of this with countryside. Moving day came, bang on time everything went to plan, small list of normal snags which were very quickly fixed in the same week of moving in. Again all the builders and site manager I found very helpful and friendly, always took their shoes off at the door ect. We love our new home and I couldn't recommend this company enough. Perfectly Placed!!

We bought our Countryside home in Cheshire as we were relocating from Gloucestershire and it is one of the best things we have ever done! We found Countryside purely by accident after looking at other new builds and there was no comparison due to the build quality and the fixtures and fittings that were built in as standard! We met Penny (sales rep) who steered us through our purchase, one of the friendliest and kindest people we have ever met, so knowledgeable who gave clear, concise information but never at any time applied any pressure to purchase our Countryside home! Her colleague Annabel (sales rep) who we got to know later was just like Penny, both so professional and approachable and never too busy to answer any queries we may have had!Off course like any new home we had minor snagging issues but these were dealt with by Countryside competently and professionally in a short space of time! We love our house which was built to an extremely high standard and from the experience we have had would definitely recommend Countryside!

We bought our new house from countryside at Wren Green. I have to say, from start to finish countryside have been excellent!The sale's girls Lisa and Angela have been brilliant, helping us right through the purchasing process, extremely friendly and kind at all times. Tom on site was very helpful too, he sorted out two very minor snags promptly. Our house is fantastic, really well built, to a very high standard, inside, and out. No interaction has been good

No interaction has been good. Sales team were extremely rude and used scare tactics to pressure us as first time buyers. So many problems with the house and our neighbours houses, very unhelpful in explaining about the lease and what it meant it was just glossed over. They just showed up in our garden occasionally for a while as if to remind us we didn't own the land. Even now 3 years on I've been emailing and phoning for 4 months with a query on ground rent and nobody will respond or take ownership. I don't even know who now owns our lease

Typical business wants money off people never mind the cost of other people

They arrange builders to build new homes but they do not care for any damage that happens to vehicles in the process and when you contact the office to tell them that there builders have caused you damage to your vehicle they give you the answer of "how do you know it was them" well when i finish at work at 6am and the only damage happens from there site entrance where they leave small sharp screws laying around in a road. The roast that only has 1 entrance for residents and builders which thay have laid for us to use to enter and exit. then a screw from the entrance ends up in your motorcycle tyre and the site manager himself says it looks like they dropped a few on the way out and admits to the mistake then that would be how I know its them but your just typical money grabbers happy to benefit yourselfs with more income not matter the cost of other residents and when things do get damaged you'll always find a way to blame someone else

The sale team were lovely and helpful. Sadly the property had 71 defects and after a year of living here the most important ones have not been resolved. I have dangerous windows the could fall out due to being mis-sized and a front door that won’t shut straight. I have sent over 6 emails requesting dates to resolve the issues and have not even been sent a response. The homes are lovely and the sales team are really nice but the build are terrible and they will let you live in dangerous accommodation.

Terrible quality with non-existent customer care

Terrible quality with non-existent customer careWe purchased a house in September-2022, and we are having multiple problems in the house given its extremely poor quality of finishing in every single part of the house.We try to sort this out with the customer relations team, but what they do better to the customers is ghosting them. The whole development has a WhatsApp group where no single household is happy with their services. If you buy a house with them, know that even though this is a new house, it does not mean you will have peace. It is actually the opposite.These people are not serious. I have no other option than to sue this company.

Would not recommend

We had to keep chasing for snags to be fixed and the solicitors recommended on their board are also pretty rubbish. 3 years living in the property and things from the house installed by countryside are falling to bits. The handles and the cupboard doors easily fall off, leaks in the bathroom and tiles that get mouldy. On top of that the buildings are not very resistant to the storms we’ve been having as slates of the roof keep hanging off and roof trays have flown out of place. Never have I ever lived somewhere where the house is constantly breaking and countryside blame it on the storms. Well if they were installed correctly in the first place a storm wouldn’t be able to take it!They’ve sold all the houses over a year ago and the estate is still not finished yet they’re expecting us to pay the maintenance fee. Cracks on the wall but as they’re not the size of a 2 pound coin they also can’t do anything.

I’ve been dealing with Ed for Ashmere from the very beginning, who promptly booked me in to view a not too dissimilar show home at Rochester Riverview...and having seen the quality on display, I was sold. Ed arranged and kept me closely updated on the homeowners Assisted Move scheme. Fast forward a couple of weeks with all done and dusted, my Ashmere reservation’s now secured. Kudos to Ed and his colleagues for all their efforts.

Do not buy a Countryside/Vistry group property

Countryside have a tendency to install lower spec appliances than those in the show home, without informing you, as they should under the consumer code. Still no response from this so called 5 star builder. Disgraceful behaviour from site teams Site still not completed yet trying to charge us management fees, which are contractually only due when the site is finished and handed over to the LA. 18 months in and snagging still not resolved and no sign off. Terrible company and you’ve ruined the joy of us owning our first home

The most shocking company to deal with

The most shocking company to deal with. We looked at a shared ownership which clearly stated 10%- 75% and refused to give 25% stating that only 50% was available… 2 weeks of trying to get it sorted (they have no processes and are a shambles of a company) help to buy?? More like give and take away - appalling service. If I could give minus stars I would.
