I couldn’t believe the difference , the whole team where so helpful and encouraging, gave sensible and realistic advise to ensure a quick sale, Richard, Keith and Jordan were always professional, and Lorraine ensured the progression of the sale went smoothly.

GoogleWe purchased a house via White and Sons recently and were extremely impressed by their professionalism and effectiveness. Loraine was on the case throughout the long 9 months it took for us to finally move in (due to the sale of our own property falling through) she kept us informed and up to date at all times about what was happening and what 'should' be happening with our own sale. This enabled us to keep the pressure on our own chain and ultimately get moved before the stamp duty increase!

After four years of being a reliable tenant, All rent paid on time, I’m shocked that White & Sons are trying to take a large portion of my deposit over trivial issues. They listed things like a grain of dust as justification for charging me for a full professional clean. That’s not wear and tear that’s nitpicking.
I kept the property clean, took photos before leaving, and handed it back in good condition. Yet they still tried to push excessive charges. I’ve since seen other tenants reporting the same behaviour, which says a lot.
Tenants deserve fairness, not exploitation. If this happens to you, don’t accept it use the deposit protection scheme dispute process, which is there to stop agencies from making unreasonable deductions.

As part of our end of tenancy process, we compare and contrast your initial check-in report with your check-out report and highlight any discrepancies. As part of this process, regardless of how earnestly you have been paying your rent, we have a responsibility to the landlord to record any issues we find. In accordance with your terms and conditions, the landlord has the right to request that these be rectified using your deposit.
Having been managing tenancy for decades, we pride ourselves on our objectivity during this process.
In the very rare occurrence, the TDS are there as an impartial mediator, should a tenant feel that these findings are not to their satisfaction.
We wish you well with your claim and will, of course, uphold any decision they make.

Selling with White & Sons was a breath of fresh air. James & Stephanie initially provided clear advice with regard to pitching our property at an appropriate level to generate interest and for that, we are particularly grateful. Their knowledge of the local market, in addition to the way in which their photographer and videographer presented our house saw us find a buyer well ahead of many neighbours who had similar homes on the market at that point in time.
Lucy & Kate visited us at our house before we began any viewings to familiarise themselves and on returning to the office booked in several viewings before photos were even taken. We genuinely felt as though we had the whole team working with us, which was in stark contrast to a previous experience we had with another agent. Nikki & Ally, their viewing assistants are clearly well experienced and were simply a pleasure to deal with.
We were surprised, given the current market conditions to receive several offers after our first weekend of viewings and Stephanie expertly negotiated with our preferred buyers to the point of acceptance.
What really made White & Sons and the Horley team stand out in particular was how the handled a price re-negotiation with our buyer. We felt completely assured that the team were working for us and had our best interests at heart and although we ultimately did concede slightly on price, James stepped in and was able to negotiate a discount on our onward purchase.
Right the way through the process, we regularly spoke with the team, calls were always returned when they said and as such, they removed any stress from the process. We are glad we trusted in their recommended solicitors too, as it was clear that the communication between them and White & Sons was fluid, which resulted in us completing the sale in just 9 weeks.
