Customer Care Service with an Emphasis on Care

Moving home is never an easy prospect; which is why, when we chose our new-build at the end of 2022, we were so pleased we chose a new home from Legal and General and their associated construction company Cala Homes. Obviously, with any move, it would be expected that odd issues will crop up from time to time that will need to be resolved. That is where L&G/Cala’s Customer Care Team come into their own and make a real difference.

Fabulous Customer Service Team

We purchased a 4 bed Gidea from L&G at Cross Trees Park in December 2022. We are extremely pleased with our house, what makes our experience even better is the excellent aftercare from the Customer Services Team, Abby and Simon. Abby is so efficient organising contractors to fix any snagging issues, always addressing things quickly and efficiently. Simon has been absolutely superb, he has attended the property to address issues and he is always on time, professional and super tidy, both Abby and Simon are a credit to the L&G team.

Jenny at Legal and General’s Finchwood…

Jenny at Legal and General’s Finchwood Park development is very welcoming and helpful.I had visited the sales office to see what they had coming up on phase 2 as this is where my son and son in law are living and I am downsizing. While in the sales office I was offered the opportunity to buy the show house on phase 1. Jenny was very helpful and accommodating and so far it has been a very positive experience.

Poor customer service (Bucklers park)

I bought home from L&G and service is very good initially however once you transfer to extended warranty you get cala customer service and not happy with single person in team. Mine was handle by building manager then transfer under customer service. I moved into my property year back however there are multiple issues not solved properly.

Tenant of a legal & general affordable…

Tenant of a legal & general affordable home. Managed by pinnacle, who don’t exist until they want rent or there’s a complaint somewhere. No repair team, no emergency repair team. Had ongoing rat issue since February, caved in sewer with drainage issues still not solved. This week water coming through 2 ceilings, no one to contact and help you. Moving to this property has caused us nothing but misery, money and stress. Biggest mistake we ever made.

Very poor after sales service

Purchased a property at Cross Tree Park, Shrivenham. Sales team are fantastic however after we moved in and handed over to their so called customer care team the problems begin. Appalling customer care, they challenge the majority of issues and try and blame the customer for substandard products used when building. Emails received from customer care have been extremely rude and they treat their customers with nothing but contempt and disrespect. I requested to speak to a senior manager to make a formal complaint, and what a surprise have heard nothing back, not even an email.

The Part exchange process is nothing like cala describe it is a Stressful and unpleasant experience more than the usual buying and selling process. Told many things that weren't true through the whole process. And moving in to a new build isnt any less stressful then buying an old house. The Floors, windows and doors were filthy. Long list of snags. Gardens have drainage problems. Back garden like a pond. Have no patience left with this company avoid. Cala phase 2

We first met Joanne and Michelle in early 2023 when we decided to walk in with no pre-appointment. They hosted us in any case and spent time giving us access to showroom and explaining the plots and home specifications. Our latest experience (11 June 2023) was when we went down to discuss/reserve our desired plot with Joanne Gigg. Similar to our previous 2 visits to the development, Jo was warm, friendly, professional and helpful. Our discussions were easy-going and you don't feel any 'airs'. We have been to see many developments in the last 4 years and we never came across sales representatives as pleasant as the team here at Bucklers Ride. A mention also to Abby Malton, whom we spoke on the phone twice but never met in person. She was also very patient throughout and helpful during the reservation process (18 June 2023). 5 Stars Service.

Lovely houses poor after sales…

Lovely houses and very good sales process but that’s where it stops. 5 months in and I’m still trying to get some of the original snagging items fixed and customer care for new faults appears to be non existent, we’re supposed to be contacted with 4days of reporting a fault, 3weeks and several phone calls later still nothing! Majority of items are damage which could have been avoided if they’d taken a little more care when building the property or checked it thoroughly before completion.

Service worse than Ryanair...

Can't remember such poor service from a company - they take months to respond to any query and you effectively can't phone - would you sit on hold for more than 45 minutes? People shouldn't need 6 months of savings to cover them until L&G get off their backside to pay a pension you're owed.
