Definitely find a better estate agent

A few weeks ago I received a telephone call from a young member of staff at Bairstow Eves. He asked me if I was interested in selling my property. I told him no. I had bought it through them funnily enough and had just spent four months renovating it. He suggested I have a valuation despite my saying I didn’t want to sell. Eventually I agreed because I thought it would be good to see what it was worth now it had been renovated. Two text messages and a long and detailed email confirming that the manager was looking forward to meeting me at my property later that week at 12:30. She didn’t turn up and when I telephoned, I was informed that it was a desktop valuation, despite the fact that I had a an email telling me the valuation would be at my property. Having dealt with them when I bought the property and having them not bothering to respond to my email to express my dissatisfaction that they hadn’t bothered to come and do the valuation, I would never ever deal with them again. I think they are a shabby organisation and there are much better estate agents to deal with.

Carlton office provide excellent service

My past experiences of using estate agents for house purchases or sales have never been positive. That is until now. Our transaction was fairly simple as we had a first time buyer buying our house and that was the end of the chain. I found communications excellent. Never any delays. Always helpful. Always on time. Conducted viewings for us. Price was very reasonable and there were no hidden costs. Katie and Chloe at the Carlton office handled the whole transaction very professionally. Thank you

Over 10weeks since I moved out of my previous apartment managed by Bairstow Eves and my deposit is yet to be refunded. It started with delayed communication, unresponsive to calls and emails. After some weeks, I finally got a checkout report leading to another weeks of unresponsiveness to emails. We went back and forth on the deductions unnecessarily for up to 3 weeks until they finally agreed to payout my balance in 10days time. Today makes it 14days I am yet to receive my deposit.

Dylan has really helped me with finding a good mortgage deal and setting up life insurance. We had regular phone calls throughout this year when organising the purchase of my first property and kept an eye on the current mortgage offers available. Bairstow Eves are more than just an estate agent. For me, they were prompt, knowledgeable, friendly and understanding. Easily marketed and sold my property within a week. There was an instant connection with the lovely Amber. Young Mason was an impressive young man. Rob, who I only spoke to on the phone, was so easy to talk to. The trio are wonderful to deal with, no big attitudes that are usually attributed to estate agents. They kept me in the loop with the legal side to take out the stress. However, the biggest compliment is they listened to me and treated me with the utmost respect. Very customer focused. They deserve every success.

I previously worked for this company as a lettings manager and was shocked to receive a letter stating I owe them over £1,000 after leaving the job over a year ago. This is completely unacceptable and feels ridiculous. I've never encountered a company that expects former employees to pay money after their tenure, especially not after so long. I think they forget how much I know about how they operate as a business, like how they charge tenants when leaving a property for things they didn’t actually do (only getting quotes then demanding money for works that have not been completed), plus a ton of hidden fees for landlords that aren’t even mentioned in the terms of business. What an absolute joke of a company. I would advise potential employees to be cautious and ensure they fully understand any financial obligations before accepting a position here. I would also advise landlords to stay away if they don’t want a company to rob them for their money!!!

To all landlords leave them as soon as you can. These people don't listen to landlords. They done investigate. They only work to pass on cost to landlord. They dont care if the property is damaged or not been looked after. They even done care if tenant is in breach of tenancy agreement.
