I rented a house where Penney and Sinclair were managing agents and they were very good, wanted to know if I had any problems with the house and made sure both tenants and landlord were happy. I therefore decided to use them as my estate agent to let a property we bought and I could not fault them, they were very professional. I was very pleased with their service.

The team at Penny & Sinclair were transparent, responsive and helpful throughout the sale of my 1 bedroom property in Oxford. They were honest and upfront about the potential sale price (whilst other estate agents wildly inflated the valuation), which I appreciated. The property was marketed in Dec and I had an offer at asking price by end of February. We completed in June. All in all a very positive experience, would definitely recommend.

I’ve recently chosen Penny & Sinclair to help me find tenants for my house in Oxford and manage the tenancy. I was impressed with Nicola’s excellent communications, knowledge, expertise, efficiency and professionalism. Soon I realised that the P&S team shared with her these qualities, which made working with them all seamless and pleasant. I was delighted to experience effortless and excellent communication within the team. Thank you Nicola, Lucy, Molly, Wills, Sean, Daisy, Samantha and Emily. They all worked patiently with me to identify people who soon rented the house and are now enjoying living in it. I wanted to commend the very impressive manner in which our agent Sean Herdman-Low at Penny & Sinclair has taken us through the process of selling our house. I have bought and sold four or five properties over the last thirty-five years and Sean has been far and away the best agent I’ve ever dealt with. I invited five of the main Summertown estate agents to come and value our house and Sean’s obvious enthusiasm for it, and my instincts, told me he would be the right person to sell it for us. From the beginning all his communication has been prompt and clear, he’s intelligent and well-informed, he’s unfailingly professional but also brings a sensitivity and caring to the process which has been very much appreciated during a sometimes stressful process. Great service all round and highly recommended.

GooglePenny and Sinclair did a great job selling our house in Summertown. The whole process of selling is always stressful, especially for foreigners who are not familiar with the English system. Penny and Sinclair helped to facilitate and expedite the process and reassured us throughout. A special thanks to Sean who managed everything from the first meeting until completion.

This a review of Nafeesa Ahmed, who manages my rental flat at Penny and Sinclair (I am the renter, not the owner). There were many problems with the flat when I moved in, all of which predated Nafeesa's joining the company. These have been addressed in a timely and efficient manner. I am *very* impressed with her dedication and commitment to providing excellent service. Having rented flats many places in the US AND UK, I can say that Nafeesa Ahmed is the best property manager I have ever worked with.

These scammers charged us £1000 deposit deduction for CLEANING after we hired professional move-out cleaning!!! ******* FOLLOW-UP: As they said in commments below, this matter goes to TDS, and they gave me back £1000 out of those scammers' claim (P3). Though they failed in scamming money, they wasted my time successfully.
The deposit deductions have been put forward to you in line with TDS guidelines on items falling outside of fair wear and tear and invoices for the works required to return the property to its original condition. We understand you are now in contact with your property manager to discuss this further and hope a resolution can be reached. We will always endeavour to help both parties reach an amicable agreement however in the event this is not possible, this will be escalated to TDS to adjudicate. Kind regards, Penny & Sinclair

Selling your family home is a big scary venture. I invited 3 local Estate Agents to value the house, then I picked the one that I thought I’d most like to work with, and that was Joe at Penny & Sinclair. He comes across as a genuinely nice guy, because he really is a genuinely nice guy. But he’s also incredibly good at his job. He understands the local market, and quickly lined up a week of viewings. No time-wasters, just genuine buyers who actually wanted our type of house. In no time at all, we had multiple buyers interested, and we accepted an offer well above the asking price. There were bumps along the way, as there are with most house sales, but he was on-it straight away, liaising effortlessly between buyer, seller, and both solicitors. I would have no hesitation in recommending Joe & his team.

There were some hiccups along the way, (of course! Wouldn’t be a house sale without it!) but their professionalism throughout the process was exemplary. I was always able to get hold of a friendly, helpful person on the phone, and felt very informed throughout the process. I particularly appreciated Kate’s advice, along with the chance to talk through some of the decision making with someone who knows the market so well. Her recommendations for both a surveyor and lawyer were great and I think contributed to the smooth running of the entire process.
