Terrible customer service. The major problems with the house still haven’t been fixed (broken freezer and a number of other household appliances, stained mattresses etc) have contacted Tom Bonafoux endless times. At best he ignores the contact. At worse he is patronising and does nothing. We have now been waiting for 11 weeks! Do not use

Their virtual launch system failed after spending 4 hours on hold listening to jarring music. They then never called me back even though I was high up in the queue. When I rang up they were rude and confrontational on the phone. Really poor service would not recommend.

My partner and I rented a property through Finders Keepers for about two and a half years. During this time we were very happy with the service we received, in particular that from our property manager Adrian who was friendly and reliable. Any issues in the flat were dealt with quickly and we also felt we were able to report things that were broken and they would be fixed or replaced with little fuss. We had a couple of mix ups just before we left with our final rent payment and return of our deposit, but these were dealt with and resolved efficiently. Would definitely recommend, one of the best letting agents I have dealt with in the Oxford area. Properties seem to be of a really high standard and the rent prices are competitive.

Over my time as a renter I used about a dozen letting agents, and Finders Keepers (who operate - or certainly used to operate - both student and non-student lettings out of this office, despite the name) were without a doubt the best I used in Oxford. They were honest, clear, and fair. They still had the problem that every letting agent in Oxford (and most of the South of England, for that matter) seem to have of having stacks of seemingly-arbritrary fees ("So I have to pay to apply to rent this place... even if you later reject me?") and excessive bureaucracy ("So even if I can show you that I have or even offer to GIVE you year's rent up-front, I still need a guarantor because you don't think my income is high enough?"). But at least they were transparent and generally good at responding to queries. In summary: the best letting agent I've used in Oxford, but bear in mind that comes with the caveat that they're still "like an Oxford letting agent".

I rented a property through Finders Keepers with 3 other guys for my 2nd year. For me this was the first time ever renting a property and was a little overwhelmed. Finders Keepers were amazing at explaining everything that needed to be done, what needed to be signed and why as well as when it was all due. Upon arriving at the house for the first time, we had a ring binder filled with documents about the house (energy supplier, water supplier, emergency contact numbers, bin days etc.) This was a huge help as no one had thought about this until we had arrived. When ever something went wrong with the house (loss of hot water etc.) one phone call had someone sent out ASAP to sort it out. Throughout the tenancy we dealt with one individual from Finders Keepers, this was Alec, this made everything much easier as we only had to contact one person for everything. When it came to the end of the tenancy, I was the last one in the house cleaning ... all of my other flatmates had already vacated the property and left all of the final cleaning to me and me alone. When it came to the check out Alec came and gave a quick inspection and gave me a run down of the check out. When all was finished, I got the remainder of my things (quite a bit) and got ready to grab a bus to get into town so I could catch my train. Alec asked where I was going and offered me a lift into town so that I didn't have to grab a bus. This was something that was unneeded and most people would never have offered. It was little things like this, Finders Keepers going the extra mile, which really gave me a fantastic experience with using the agency. If you as a student are looking to rent a property and not sure who to go with, pick Finders Keepers. They will help you every step of the way.

That's being generous! Got told certain things would be fixed before moving in...2 yrs later things weren't fixed. We were told because we weren't paying the going rate we shouldn't expect things to be repaired! Emails ignored. We were being awkward because we wanted to arrange visits for when we were in the property (because we have cats and there was no cat flap and were concerned they would get out in our absence!), being awkward is also when you let them know you are in from 3pm mon to Fri! Wouldn't use again and certainly wouldn't recommend!

We have always found Finders Keepers very professional and helpful - even to advising what to create from potential space, so defining the building above a Summertown shop.Their design company, Decorum finished off the job by creating 3 totally different moods in adjacent flats. However, we have used Decorum now for the design and fitting of two rooms in our house. This was creatively successful as a newer look than we would have done, and operationally very efficient in fitting the jobs and tradesmen into a well timed operation with the minimum of disruption. For the second room, after agreeing the look, it was all done while we had a week away. Thank you! Michael & Joan Greenwood

We used Finders Keepers' Interiors arm Decorum to source furniture for a flat going onto the rental market and the result was excellent. I checked FK's estimates against what I would have had to pay buying comparable items direct and the differences were minimal. Final cost was below the figure estimated as FK passed on savings on bulk purchases. Another big benefit was that for a small fee FK oversaw delivery and installation on everything saving us endless time. When we inspected we were very pleasantly surprised by quality of the furniture and the overall finished effect. Unsolicited, our tenants wrote that they were thrilled.
