GoogleWhilst i have sold property through Andy previously, this was the first time I had used SDLAuctions and I found the overall experience to be excellent. Time and again they put ridiculously low guide prices on properties just to get you in the auction room and then START the bidding higher than the guide!! For instance a property guided at £40,000 they'll start the bidding at £50,000 before it eventually sells for £130,000!!! I've been to so many auctions and SDL are by far the worst for pulling this stunt.
Hi Brian, We’ve been unable to find your name or details in our systems, which suggests to us that you’ve never bought, sold or registered for one of our auctions. Nevertheless, we wanted to take the time to address your points to avoid any future confusion, for yourself or others. We’ve reviewed our recent auctions and can find no examples of times in which we’ve started the bids higher than the guide price - in fact, it’s often that we begin below the guide price. With auction pricing, the guide price is an indication of the seller’s minimum acceptable price at auction when they enter the property. It’s also given to guide any interested buyers as to whether or not to pursue a purchase. However, the nature of auctions means that if there is a lot of interest in a property, a competitive bidding process can happen. This ultimately means that the final price can appear to be much higher than the original guide price. GoogleOver 2 hours delay and counting in commencing online auction live stream due to "technical difficulties". Allowing people to bid is the core fundamentals of your business! You should be embarrassed.
We are very sorry for the technical issues that unfortunately prevented our auction taking place as scheduled today. Our bidding platform is hosted by a third-party service provider, Essential Information Group, and an undetermined fault caused the live stream video feed to fail. Unfortunately, we have no control over this system and have therefore taken the difficult decision to postpone the auction to Tuesday 5th September.

I have sold 2 properties through SDL and my advisor was Rachel. She was amazing. Especially with the hassle I had with the last property I sold. She managed to keep the buyer on side through a difficult time and greatfull for all her work.
