Was helped find a student house to rent by Megan Ashton, who was very helpful and patient, gave us quick and helpful responses and explained everything very well. A smooth experience so far and have had no issues. Property is managed by a landlady/lord so there's not much contact with the agents any more but the checkout process was pretty easy. Very detailed inventory photos (In colour too!) giving good peace of mind when it comes to leaving that there won't be any hidden work to complete.

I am a landlord, and I have been dealing with a chap called Kieran, in the lettings department. He simply wants to bully people into taking the first tenant that comes along, so that he can get his fee, I am sure. He is rude, and speaks over me. I do not believe he is suited to his job. If I could have left a 0 star or minus star, I would have. Management need to look at his standards. Any experienced landlord knows that it is better to wait until one finds the right tenant, as putting the wrong tenant into a property is a costly exercise, in terms of damages, lost rent and hassle. He should know this, as an agent. He is very rude to deal with, and slammed down the phone, when I would not take the tenants, as they have very little letting history.

We recently completed a purchase with Bairstow Eves that took 11 months in total, largely due to very poor communication from the seller that wasn't helped in any way by BE as the agent. As an experienced investor making regular purchases, this was one of the longest and most frustrating processes I've experienced. I had 4 different points of contact through the purchase and found it very difficult trying to get any sort of communication or help from them (the first 3 were awful and each left the company and I was passed to somebody new each time). Eventually I was passed to Joe, who I must say was excellent (quick to respond and helpful to follow up with the seller for us), and it was probably only thanks to his assistance that we eventually completed the purchase successfully. It's luck of the draw as to which staff member you end up working with, as if it weren't for Joe, I would have given them a rating of just 1 star, they were honestly one of the worst agents I've dealt with for most of the process. His support alone is what bumps my rating up to 3 stars.
