Very impressed with the patience and professionalism of Mr Ray Smith at the firm! He took the time to read and review multiple drafts of a complex and esoteric instruction. Due to how busy he is and my current situation, we decided not to go ahead with instruction, and Ray authorised a refund, minus admin costs straight away. Very straightforward, upfront, decent and honest interaction. Would recommend Mr Smith to anyone with a complex and/or esoteric valuation instruction!

I recently started a tenancy for a beautiful home in Mundesley. I had been looking for over a year, as I had rather specific requirements, but when I found this house I knew it was the one. Alex from Watsons was an absolute superstar in helping me and went above and beyond! Extremely approachable, friendly and professional. I have had the best experience with every staff member I’ve spoken to and when I pointed out the kitchen tap had a leak, Melanie was very prompt in sending out a plumber. I feel compelled to give a special mention to Sheriden Ellis, Alex Clemmett and Thomas Palmer - all of whom have been quite instrumental in facilitating not only a successful move-in back in May but also, since then, they have each helped us navigate our way through a number of minor issues that have cropped up over the past seven months. Shocking that someone can apply to look…

Shocking that someone can apply to look at a rental and then no acknowledgement or contact to be then told they have been forgotten off the viewings list and the list is full, when the application form went in straught away. Selective viewings or poor management, such a shame as Watsons sold my mums property and were good and ive recommended them in the past for selling and renting. Won't refer again.

Avoid avoid

Avoid avoid! A very negative experience, no complaints process to speak of and no redress. Cavalier, arrogant and minimal to zero response to issue raised. Surveyor either made a mistake or actually didn't report the truth in an instance yet no apology, no correction and no admission. Of course you can take it to the regulator who is regulated by the industry (!) but by then the damage has been done. Definitely would not use again.

professional and quality service throughout, kept in the loop at all stages. Surveyor was friendly and precise and explained the survey results so I could fully understand them, where I needed a clearer understanding the surveyor broke things down into words I could understand. Everything was super straightforward and well organised.Report was very detailed and thorough and they worked very well with my difficult seller who would give the keys to garage. But they still managed to do a basic check of it.Would use again, report came quicker than I expected! And I appreciate the hard one my surveyor did with checking roofs, damp checks and even caught a hidden leak.

Just used this company again. We went for level 2 survey as the houses where both built in the 1970s. Unfortunately the 1st house they surveyed had too many faults for our liking so we pulled out. So 2 months later we had to get another survey done. We requested a survey and with 2 days they had contacted the letting agents and arranged a date. So within 2 days of contact we had the survey report sent to us. Personally i think this industry has to follow the same standards. Watson fees where about £30 to £50 cheaper. So we took the plunge for the cheapest They might be the cheapest but they are very professional. Reports were in depth. You recieved follow up phone call, and they dont mind a phone call if you want to talk about your report. I even got a phone call 1 month later to check if everything is going ahead. So a 5 star service. For a piece of mind get your survey done with Dave Watson.

I am very very happy with the service from this company. I am first time buyer and I was advised to do a Home Buyer's survey. I checked reviews and prices of different companies and this one was the cheapest with very good reviews. Mr. Lee Turner got in touch with me and clarified all my doubts. The appointment was booked within a few days from the time I first got in touch with Mr. Lee. I received the report the day after the surveyor Paul Mills went to the house and he completed a very detailed report showing that the house was in good condition and I am glad no major problems were detected. Watsons really went above and beyond in every aspect. As my first house purchase in the U.K and really clueless about surveys, leases and well all the due diligence I'd need to do to make sure I was making the right decision I was delighted when a friend told me what good service she'd had with Watsons and I found out for myself. I was attempting to buy a grade 2 listed property with only 90 years left on it's lease so not a simple buy. From first contact with Dave Watson I was given clear information on all the surveys available but important advice about which would be most suitable due to the historic nature of the building. None of my many, many questions were too much and once I'd decided the survey was scheduled in a matter of days with the report arriving extremely promptly too. Unfortunately the report wasn't good reading and it was no problem for them to arrange for me to have a phone call with the surveyor so he could talk me though it as, inexperienced as I was I needed a few things explained. Mark (the surveyor) was very candid and gave his professional opinion and really helped me understand the risks I would be taking not just with current problems but in the future with such a builiding. He also offered to speak to my Estate Agent to support the survey if I decided to renegotiate. I made the hard decision to withdraw my offer but thanks to the staff at Watsons, 100% confident that I was doing the right thing. So want to thank them for dodging a bullet! I also spoke to James who works in lease extensions and want to thank him for the comprehensive information and guidance he gave me...on a (to me) a pretty complex process and feel sure that had I gone ahead with the property and lease extension. I would have been in good hands. So it's back to house hunting for me...but I know exactly who I will be using for the survey! Watsons.
