Claxton Bird really are experts in the property market around Norwich and specifically the Golden Triangle. Mark was fantastic with the valuation and running us through the process and contract prior to marketing the property and then James was completely on the ball at all stages during the sale and post sale process, providing updates and advice along the way. Kim was also really great carrying out the viewings for us and making sure she knew lots about the property to tell potential buyers during the viewings. They kept the entire process smooth and relatively stress free (some minor delays/ issues being well out of their control) and we would definitely recommend.

I cannot thank James and everyone at ClaxtonBird enough for their support throughout this process, and the level of service is nothing short of perfect. A rare combination of personability, friendliness, clarity, honesty, availability and professionalism. The process of buying/selling your home can be stressful and we certainly had some ups and downs along the way. James was always there for support and not only skillfully kept all parties engaged but seemed to have an innate ability to judge also how best to keep me motivated and informed, which ultimately led us to succeed with completion. Initially Mark valued our home with great professionalism and personability. He clearly explained the process and accurately valued our home, with his valuation being perfectly corroborated by the other valuations we had from other agents. Despite the restrictions of the pandemic, CB secured an asking price buyer within 9 days. Due to circumstances beyond anyone's control, we were unfortunate enough to lose that buyer with just a week before exchange. This was obviously devastating, but James pulled out all the stops for both practical and even emotional support. This would not be possible without his level of dedication to cultivating a proper relationship with me as a customer. He also advised on the best way to retain our purchase (from a different agent) despite the setback. After relisting, a quality asking price buyer was secured this time after only 6 days, which thankfully was converted to completion. Estate agents suffer a bad reputation. However, the team at ClaxtonBird are a credit to the profession, and I extend my heartfelt thanks to them for operating in the way they do. There are enough frustrations with the process of moving, but having people like this on your side makes all the difference. James was always there, in some cases just to listen to my anguish. Most importantly, without him I wouldn't have got a dream home for me and my family, and that is priceless. GetAgent recommended ClaxtonBird and we weren't disappointed! They set a sensible value on our property, which they achieved. We were pleased with the brochure and with the aerial photos which they arranged for us. Viewings were arranged with appropriate Covid prevention measures. After the sale was agreed, James' work on our behalf was outstanding. We were part of a particularly long chain with many delays but none of them were of ClaxtonBird's making. Small things that really made a difference, such as getting meter readings for our house in Norwich, we live in the Cotswolds so a 5 hour drive for us. What more could you hope for? Their fees were very competitive, as good as anyone else. However because they are local and not a conglomerate; we quickly got to know them by name and they always recognised our case and knew at what stage it had progressed to. We first approached ClaxtonBird for viewings at the start of the year, having been impressed by the properties they had available. We eventually submitted an offer to a property through a different agent. After a frustrating process that property fell through. We had no hesitation in going straight back to ClaxtonBird - indeed, they were our first port of call. They found us our ideal first home within a few weeks, responding to our criteria. I chose them because I liked the way they presented other houses on the market at that time, and they lived up to all my expectations in terms of presentation. All estate agents AREN'T the same! ClaxtonBird are absolutely top of the league as far as I'm concerned. Not only have they got the basics right - doing what they say they're going to do, when they say they're going to do it - their knowledge of the market is second to none. The fact that they're local is another huge plus: so much nicer that dealing with a national chain, to whom, when all's said and done, you're just a number. Buying and selling houses is stressful at the best of times - and we've just been through one of the worst; but throughout, James was on hand to see the process through (and, at times, talk me down!) Mark and James were absolutely excellent for us. We sold our flat within 4 working days, their manner, and business practices were second to none. I knew when we first met James to view a property they were selling, that they were the right people for us to sell with. They're so down to earth, honest, kind and calm. They give you the time and space to think and make decisions without hassling you with follow up calls every 20 mins. They're just real, normal people doing a job which is so commonly carried out by fools and un(der)-qualified chancers. It's refreshing to find a group of people with such a significant knowledge of the local area, and experience as agents who aren't trying to fleece people, or just go out to benefit themselves. It genuinely feels like they understand moving home from the perspective of their clients and they do all they can to help you, know your name when you call, understand and remember what is going on with your sale or purchase and do everything possible to speed along the move and make it as painless as possible. Which weirdly is a lot more helpful than turning up in a leased Audi, stinking of cheap aftershave, being 18 and straight out of college, having never bought or sold a house in your life. I didn't think I'd ever meet an estate agent I liked, but I have, I actually like Claxton Bird as people.

Mark Bird did a fantastic job of seeing my 2 up 2 down home. I wanted a reasonably quick sale, they suggested a price in the difficult selling hosing market of mid 2023. I ended up getting to offers, and on asking the potential buyers their final offer, we agreed at 10K over the asking price. If you really do wish your house to be sold (rather than lingering on the market for many months., then ClaxtonBird must be the best around .....
