Couldn’t have asked for a better service

I had been in my property on South Beach for over 50 years and the prospect of selling was daunting to say the least. I had 4 estate agents to give valuations and discuss their services.Alayna, Branch Manager/Valuer from Rook Matthews Sayer Blyth branch stood out from all the rest. Apart from giving a very realistic valuation for my house she explained the full sales process and I felt confident enough to put my sale in the hands of her office. She had extolled the skill of her office staff and they certainly lived up to her description. From Gillian and Suzanne to Sharon and Michelle they were all so helpful, knowledgeable and proactive. Within a couple of days we had a sale agreed and everything was passed to Dawn the Sales Progressor. What can I say about Dawn? Excellent service and she dealt with everything promptly ensuring that contracts were exchanged and the sale completed within 8 - 9 weeks.A huge thank you to the whole team at RMS - they were always available to answer any queries I had. Apologies if I have missed any of the Team Member out. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

It was a difficult time when I had to…

It was a difficult time when I had to put my late father’s property up for sale. From my initial contact with RMS I have been treated with respect and courtesy. The valuation of the property was completed quickly and the house soon on the market. RMS arranged an open day for viewings which resulted in several offers. Unfortunately, through no fault of RMS the initial sale fell through. Not to be daunted the staff at RMS quickly arranged a second round of viewings which again resulted in several offers and ultimately a sale. I have been greatly impressed with the professionalism, determination and commitment from all at RMS. I have no hesitation in recommending this office to anyone considering buying or selling a property in the Gosforth area.

RMS helped me significantly during the initial negotiations to help me secure the property and also acting as a reliable intermediary between both mine and the sellers solicitors. Do not recommend

Not a good experience at all with gosforth branch. Viewed a house and after our offer got accepted we found out from our surveyor that the house was a leasehold (advertised as freehold online) when we enquired with staff at the branch they said it was 100% freehold property. After making more enquiries we found out that the house was a leasehold and we backed out even though the agents were saying it was a freehold. After we backed out the advert went up again for the house - only this time advertised as leasehold! We only went forward with this property as it was claimed to be freehold but the experience from the beginning was awful. For a first time buyer would not recommend. We spent a lot of money on the survey report and only to found out it’s a leasehold property. If RSA did their own proper work we wouldn’t have to lose out on that money and wouldn’t have gone ahead with the property either. Not the type of agents you want to purchase a house with.

Quality customer service

I started the process of purchasing a property in mid February through the Whitley Bay branch. I completed in early May. I used RMS for all aspects including arranging the mortgage as well as using their recommended lawyers for all the legal aspects and without doubt it was money well spent and a sensible decision. I would recommend using RMS to anyone. I was kept informed throughout the process and any questions I had were answered quickly and efficiently.
