Put in an offer in for a house 7 months ago and still haven’t heard back. We were told they would take it off the market whilst a decision was made (apparently offers can’t be accepted until the sellers have secured a house of their own. What’s that? That’s not true? Ok maybe someone should let RMS know)House was put back on the market and then sold... We ended up buying a house through another agent who evidenced how it should be done. Generally just very poor service, at times quite rude and elements of false information. Don’t lie to your clients RMS - people will go elsewhere.I have purposefully kept names out of this for professionalism, however this is based on experience of 2 members of staff at 1 branch. I am mindful that other members of staff/branches may offer service a lot more thorough than this.

Purchased a property through this agent & initially all was fine, then onto sales progression was another story. A hole in the bedroom ceiling with visible historical leaks but we were told by the estate agent that this had been fixed and a certificate of work carried out was available.We now have rain water leaking through the same hole, and the estate agent deny all knowledge of ever saying the work was completed by anyone.

Dear Louise, we’re really disappointed to receive this review as we take great pride in the service we provide and as you can see from our 4.7 rating, it is not often that we receive negative feedback. We have looked into this further and from our records we can see that the query about the ceiling was brought up during a viewing at the property with yourself, our accompanied viewer rang the branch on the spot to raise your question and asked if the vendor had completed any work on this. It was discussed that they would arrange someone to look at it. Later, a roofer attended and said it was not ‘active’ and it was in his opinion caused by the Velux window having been left open and there were no further repairs required. Unfortunately, we can only reiterate what we have been told as we have not done the checks ourselves but are relying in good faith on information provided to us. We would always recommend that if you have any areas of concern that you raise these with your solicitor for your purchase. With regards any certification, on all the paper work that was completed by the vendor no certification or warranty was listed. Having checked our sales progression notes, there is no record of this issue being discussed. Again, as we have not carried out the work, or done the checks ourselves, we can be uncertain that this damage is related to the same issue you saw at the time, with the huge amount of heavy rain that we have experienced recently it is possible that the water may has found a way in through a separate entry point. We are very sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues at the property and hope they are resolved swiftly for you, so you can enjoy your new home. Thank you.

The team from Ponteland office is very comprehensive and helpful. They always try the best to help and share information and process status. However the app they have been using to upload documentation and checking had created a lot of delay in the process. I had to upload 3 different times my docs to be checked. Only doing in the office with support by its team I could have all sorted. In my situation this process took 1 and a half week.But in the end I got the keys and could move in on the property.

After many phone calls and no return calls, arranged to view a property in Amble that had just gone on the market. Drove to Amble (took 2.5 hours) puilled up outside the property 5 minutes before the appointemnt time to find a SOLD board up. Called the Amble office to see what was going on and was told I should have had a call last night to say it had gone under offer and cancelling the appointment. There was no call nor a missed call from them.A 5 hour wasted round trip... and sorry doesn't cut it. They don't give a stuff as everything is shifting, at the moment.
