If there was an option to leave 0 stars, I would because they're not even deserving of the 1 star. I am an honest person and I paid my rent on time and in full, but Key Homes are desperate and money hungry, and they don't care. I moved out on 05/07/18, today is 25/09/18 and I only received my deposit TODAY (27/09/18). I've called countless times, and have been lied to about various things, and it seems I am only taken seriously when I'm shouting or threatening to take things further. If you decide to rent with them, TAKE PHOTOS of the property when you move in! They may fail to give you an inventory, like they did me. Even though I was given no inventory, and I was told by an employee, that they were aware the house was damaged and there were issues, and we should not be charged for this, yet I was still being charged? They are so conniving; they lied to us that we owed £600+ worth of water and gas bills, when the house was all inclusive, and were given no warnings about reaching the cap. Every time I've since inquired about the bill, no one seems to have any knowledge of it yet, I have the emails stating we owed the landlord £600+. Additionally, the house, and especially the carpets were filthy when moving in, as well as a poor paint job and so much more. My heater was not working throughout the whole of winter- and nothing was done about it until April 2018. I was supposed to be charged a call out fee for someone allegedly fixing my heater in December- without my knowledge. I did not damage my heater, so I do not understand why I was getting charged for it? Additionally, my oven was not working properly from the date I moved in, in October 2017 and this also was not fixed until April 2018. Also had issues with the roof, and was informed that our house was not safe to live in. Key Homes knew this, and still rented the house out to us. Just some of the terrible things I have experienced under their care. 1000% WOULD NOT recommend. I was warned about Key Homes by various people and I did not listen to them which I am sincerely regretting now. I was supposed to receive £20 deposit back, but after my shouting and them "reviewing" (for over a month,) my deposit got bumped up to £163. The only person who seemed interested in helping is Yas. Everyone else was always "off sick", "on maternity leave" or "away". It's not worth the stress, or the time. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!

my experience with Key homes was at first not the best, but the reason being is that I didn't had the understanding of their position and the amount of work that is going on in the background. I just saw my position which needed to be resolved. I had the opportunity to get to know The staff better and what I find was support, understanding and I've learned a lot, if you willing to do your part. Very organised, open, friendly and hard working. A big thank you to the Team at Key homes.

DO NOT GO WITH KEY HOMES! WORST MISTAKE EVER! Key homes are the worst estate agents ever, especially when it comes to student housing. Key Home have the most unhelpful staff and will say Anything to take your money. We lived in a student that was incomplete with a lot of issue that tgey promised to fix before we moved in. It took atleast a month for each problem or querie to be dealt with. They we're rude especially the head sarah, and they we're very ignorant to our problems. It came to checking on the house for the deposit, they claimed a lot of things were damaged. However, the problems never existed when we left the house for good. Once we complained about the problems that never existed they were adament to not refund us our deposit. We should have received a deposit ages ago however every time we calling to check what's going on and just to get an update they say the person that is dealing with the queries is not in or is in a meeting supposedly. This Has been going on for nearly a month and still no reply or email. Then asked for a breakdown of what I deposit would be used for but also still no reply. PLEASE DO NOT JOIN THEM AS WE ARE NOT THE ONLY ONES THAT HAVE RECEIVED THE SAME TREATMENT AND DISRESPECT. IF YOU DO JOIN THEM PLEASE READ AND KEEP THE CONTRACF FOR FURTHER USE. PS there are also change contracts!

What more can I say other than DISGUSTING. Parents if you think KeyHome will provide a joyous, realistic, beneficial stepping stone to you child entering into the world of renting accommodation... THINK AGAIN! Students if you think the reviews about this agency are merely written by a number of lying, drunken party animals.... ASK AROUND THE UNIVERSITY! I am of a sober mind and reasonable rationality and were fooled into thinking KeyHome were different from the rumours. I could not have been more wrong. Not only are they unprofessional and somewhat incompetent; they like to make up terms outside of the contract(of which they are not renowned for adhering to) and make an extra pound in the process. Be warned: they will be nice to you until that cheque clears.

Keyhome have always communicated with us in a clear and helpful manner and they have responded to our concerns immediately. The staff have been very friendly and have supported us well with our move and our time in the property. The people at Keyhome genuinely care for their tenants and they have made a difficult year a lot smoother.

Only just graduated and moved out of the house I was renting from these guys. Definitely the best I had in northampton, took good care of me and my housemates. Very straight forward with contracts and go through everything before you sign unlike some other landlords. They were always quick to solve problems that would occur. Highly recommended.

My experience with key homes was a fantastic one. I was with them for 4 years and I can say that they are very helpful and understanding. I’ll encourage anyone who needs a student accommodation to check them out.

Terrible letting agency. If you are a student in Northampton and they are your only choice for getting a house, go back to halls. KeyHome emails fall on deaf ears unless regarding lining their pockets. Our house was filthy and had many fire hazards, Staff are painfully unprofessional and struggle to keep important documents on file.

Key Homes have let my student properties for 5 years. During this time I have had a high level of satisfaction from my students and the many issues that have come up have been dealt with to their satisfaction. Sarah has also given me help and guidance during with the properties which has proved helpful.

We were toured by a professional, friendly woman called Kate who shown us three houses. She was very comfortable to be around and had a laugh with us; as well as thoroughly showing us through the houses and answering any questions we had in detail, and covering detail about those houses in general.

Previous reviews seem to have been written by tenants. I'm writing this as a landlord and have found their service and no nonsense approach to student rentals to be very helpful. They have assisted me with a difficult situation and I certainly feel the pressure has been taken off me. I am happy to recommend them.

Will use any excuse to not pay back deposit. Casually just walk in without notice to do fire alarm tests and the house was dirty upon moving in, had to clean the whole place myself. Thought it was just a one off but seems like loads of people have had the same experience!

Terrible, staff unhelpful, refuse to give landlord reference, took months to fix heating and hot water in the winter, made uni experience miserable. Refuse to refund money alot of the time and will use every excuse possible. Dont warn you when they have people coming in. DONT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE !!!!
