I had a wonderful experience while letting with key homes . The whole team are very supportive, communication throughout my stay was exceptionally good, They do not just let but made sure tenants are comfortable with adequate maintenance and one call away service. Thank you Kate, Jeni and the whole key homes team for your service.

Keyhome offer amazing services, the house I was in was in good condition, very few house issues throughout the year. I also like that they bring in regular cleaning staff which makes the house fresh and we can maintain it for the next few weeks. Apart from that, my room was spacious for the price and enjoyed the experience, I'll definitely be renewing the contract for the next year

I dealt with keyhomes in my first year of uni (2017) and it was difficult liaising with the student team, but since new staff have come in (Kate mostly) there has been a fresh energy and a brilliant response rate. They are kind and are quick to react to problems when it is brought up, very professional, very willing to help and very understanding of personal issues. I really could not have asked for anyone better when going through my last year of uni (2020). Thank you Keyhome.

I honestly can't fault Key Home Northampton, they took really good care of myself and my housemates while we had a property with them. They were very kind and helpful throughout the entire tenancy, the maintenance was always carried out as promised and they were able to make adjustments for us where we needed them. Kate, in particular, was incredibly helpful all the way through my tenancy and I cannot thank her enough. She went the extra mile by offering advice even after our tenancy had ended. Thank you for making my first rental home experience a positive one!

I have been with key homes for a year and recently moved out to be with my boyfriend. This company have been very helpful and has made my second year at university of Northampton less stressful. They have excellent communication when you need to ask something or request something and overall very welcoming. Kate was my landlord and was amazing, helping me with any issues or queries that I had. Would recommend this agency to any student looking for a student house to enjoy while studying at the university.

If there was an option for no stars to be given that would have been the best option. This agency is the worst in the whole entire Northampton, their service is poor and the staff are rude. They do not like to return deposits and are extremely rude on the phone. I was told about their poor service from other peers, but gave them a chance. That was the biggest mistake I have ever made since attending the University of Northampton. I do not and will not recommend them to anyone.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEY WILL USE ANY EXCUSE TO STEAL MONEY OFF STUDENTS. DOESN'T EVEN DESERVE ONE STAR, THEY ARE A RIP OFF COMPANY, NO ONE KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING. THEY WILL LOSE IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS AND WILL STEAL WHAT THEY CAN FROM YOUR DEPOSIT REGARDLESS OF HOW THE PROPERTY IS LEFT. Further to our phone calls to the office today, I have decided to put this all in an email because everything that we have been saying has seemed to have fallen upon deaf ears. We have had nothing but awful experiences with this company and are so appalled that this is on-going. When we first viewed the property, we were advised that the house would be 'deep cleaned'. This was the first lie that was told to us as when we moved in, the house had not been cleaned at all and we had to spend the first two days 'deep cleaning' it ourselves. The bedroom windows and frames were completely mouldy- nothing could be seen out of them. The house was covered in dust and it was quite apparent that if the previous tenants had had money deducted from their deposits none of the money was actually put towards cleaning the house so what was the money put towards? This all seems very questionable. In addition to this, the house was in arrears of approximately £500 with the electricity and gas company- we have been told that deposits also get deducted for unpaid bills so again- where had this money gone? Whilst living in the house we were constantly lied to about having our maintenance issues fixed- we were constantly told that someone had come to fix these issues yet all of us were home and well aware that no one had come despite constant lies. We have been told one thing by Key homes reps and another by our landlord- our landlord seemed to sort out our issues directly and without any of the fuss we experienced from yourselves. We have had nothing but issues from this company and to find out that we are having our deposits deducted when we spent three days scrubbing the house from top to bottom is absolutely disgusting. Not only did we clean the entire house we also painted and repaired parts of the property which were problem areas from when we moved in. The house looks like a completely different house compared to when we moved in and for us to have made so many improvements and to keep the house at such a high standard to only be told that we will have money deducted from us is taking absolute liberties. I really cannot comprehend how this company has the nerve to even think about deducting money from us considering the disgusting state the house was when we moved in. To be told that it's "Only £35" and that "It's your word against ours" just goes to show what kind of company you are taking money off students on no reasonable grounds. Especially considering that no money deducted from the previous tenants was put towards the house. This really begs the question as to what the company is doing with all of this money taken from students? The house was pristine when we moved out and we spent a lot of money buying cleaning products to actually give the house a deep clean. I really hope that you actually make an effort to read all of this and take it into account because to treat any customers this way, particularly students is ridiculous. We have been in touch with previous students who have had the exact same issues and will be seeking legal action if this is not resolved. There is no way that we should have money taken from us when we have left the house in far better condition from when we moved in even if it is "only £35' each.

We were secured with a lovely property and spacious rooms. Everything was clean and organised upon arrival. Landlords were amazing on helping fix any issues that rose. Key home staff were always happy to help and easy to communicate with. Would have stayed an extra year with them if it weren’t for unforeseen circumstances:)))

I strongly recommend the agent services in Key Home. Their reasonable price and rapid service has a strong advantage compared with the other Northampton agencies I know. I’ve introduced this agent as well as the property I rented to most of my friends. I appreciate Kate who helped me out to settle down in Northampton during the lockdown and wish everything will be better after the covid period!

I was a tenant with them for 7 years. I found them helpful, understanding and very easy to deal with. Sarah is approachable and professional and I have only positive things to say about the staff I dealt with. In all the time I was with them I did not experience the negativity others speak of.

I had a great experience and relationship with key home and my landlord. Every issue I had was resolved within a timely manner. Key home was very understand and flexible with myself up until my last day where I couldn’t leave my property at the required time as I worked from home til 10pm. They inconvenienced themselves and allowed me to vacate the property at 11pm rather than 5pm. To any student moving into a key home property, don’t be scared to report any issues you have. If your landlord is around, even let them know and they will get it sorted.

Had a issue paying a summer retainer as a first year student after seeing how expensive it would be i wanted to have some time to decided. Whilst there my farther asked to have a copy of there terms and conditions at with one of there members of staff got very offended going on about how she runs a legit business and had a complete over reaction. I found his to be very unprofessional and put me off the room all together. Despite the agent we initially dealt with was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with.

I have been with Keyhome for the past three years and the service my friends and I have received over the years has been excellent. The staff are always very helpful and we have never had any problems. Would like to thank the staff for helping us move house for this year making it easy and relaxing. Highly recommend any student in Northampton to get in touch with them if you are looking for great student accommodation.

We have used Key Homes for a few years now and have been more than satisfied with them. They are fair both to the student and the landlords, when issues arrive they are dealt with as soon as they possibly can either a problem in the house or even a personal problem they will do their upmost to help. If you treat our house like you would your own home there won’t be any issues, and if you are in a mess always talk to the staff at Keyhomes there are ways round most things, it’s all about fairness.

We have let our houses through Key Homes now for several years. They are an exceptionally caring and professional company and the only time they get a bad review is when a student has been aggrieved with them, usually due to the student destroying the property, trying to leave without paying rent or some other irresponsible act. These type of people give a bad review just to get there own back for there own behaviour.

If there was an option to leave 0 stars, I would because they're not even deserving of the 1 star. I am an honest person and I paid my rent on time and in full, but Key Homes are desperate and money hungry, and they don't care. I moved out on 05/07/18, today is 25/09/18 and I only received my deposit TODAY (27/09/18). I've called countless times, and have been lied to about various things, and it seems I am only taken seriously when I'm shouting or threatening to take things further. If you decide to rent with them, TAKE PHOTOS of the property when you move in! They may fail to give you an inventory, like they did me. Even though I was given no inventory, and I was told by an employee, that they were aware the house was damaged and there were issues, and we should not be charged for this, yet I was still being charged? They are so conniving; they lied to us that we owed £600+ worth of water and gas bills, when the house was all inclusive, and were given no warnings about reaching the cap. Every time I've since inquired about the bill, no one seems to have any knowledge of it yet, I have the emails stating we owed the landlord £600+. Additionally, the house, and especially the carpets were filthy when moving in, as well as a poor paint job and so much more. My heater was not working throughout the whole of winter- and nothing was done about it until April 2018. I was supposed to be charged a call out fee for someone allegedly fixing my heater in December- without my knowledge. I did not damage my heater, so I do not understand why I was getting charged for it? Additionally, my oven was not working properly from the date I moved in, in October 2017 and this also was not fixed until April 2018. Also had issues with the roof, and was informed that our house was not safe to live in. Key Homes knew this, and still rented the house out to us. Just some of the terrible things I have experienced under their care. 1000% WOULD NOT recommend. I was warned about Key Homes by various people and I did not listen to them which I am sincerely regretting now. I was supposed to receive £20 deposit back, but after my shouting and them "reviewing" (for over a month,) my deposit got bumped up to £163. The only person who seemed interested in helping is Yas. Everyone else was always "off sick", "on maternity leave" or "away". It's not worth the stress, or the time. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!

It is with great disappointment that I am writing this. Being with Key Homes LTD for 2 continuous years, I have witnessed the most unprofessional, disorganised and horrific service from Key Homes. The staff are utterly unreliable and in order for an action to be taken on an issue, it takes weeks or even months. During my time there, I went without heating or hot water for 4 weeks in the coldest month of January and not only they had the impudence to not appologise for not fixing such a basic necessity but also when asked to deduct the rent amount as a compensation for this usse, they refused. This is a clear example of Key Homes not being professional with their service. They make up several excuses for not to return your deposit and have caused deposit dispute by either not giving it back on time or not at all giving it back to the tenant by creating false charges. Therefore, if you want to have a good university experience and a stress-free tenancy, do not use Key Homes service. If this is your only choice, make sure that you specifically ask for an inventory list and take clear pictures of your room before you settle in. If you are not getting any response on your issue, contact Consumer Ombudsman.

Worst letting agency I have ever come across. All they care about is making money off you and will do anything in order to do so. The staff is also extremely unhelpful and does not appear to care about the well-being of their tenants in the slightest. I had a serious issue with the house I was living in due to other tenants who moved in halfway through the year who let complete strangers live in the house. I felt very unsafe and was left with nowhere to live for a whole month. My friend and I didn't get any of our deposits back even though we left the house in a good condition and took pictures. I was also charged for damages in a property I no longer had access to. My horrible experience with them not only negatively impacted my 2nd year at uni but also really impacted my mental health. Would not recommend.
