Poor no gas central heating more like storage heating!! They are the worst lettings agents ever!! 4 years I lived in my home and left due to family circumstances! I cleaned the carpets painted every wall and cleaned everything yet they took £95 off my deposit! It took two weeks of me hounding them to get it back. I put new vinyl in bathroom because a rodent got In and chewed the bath waste I didn’t charge the landlord ! The kitchen sink waste flooded I put new vinyl down ! My partner fixed both leaks at our cost and yet they take money fro me !! Never ever rent through these guys they will rip you off and als take images of your personal pictures and post them for the world to see ! Never again Cowboys

We were slightly anxious about relocating a long way from Scotland to a completely unknown place with my new born baby but the members of staff from the agency were very understanding and provided with precise guidance in renting the property of my first choice. I recently sold a property through Chelton Brown, who had managed the same property for around 18 years. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Chelton Brown for the management or sale of your property. As a landlord of a converted property, It wasn't a straight forward sale, and there were so many dociuments required for the solicitors!! Shah and Victoria pulled out all the stops to secure a buyer and help provide as much information to help as was needed and speedily. I would like to thank them both sincerely. I would also like to thank the lettings team who managed the property with care and dilligence throughout. My experience as a landlord and a vendor has been made so much less stressful by Chelton Brown. Thank you everyone!

First of all, using Chris at Chelton Brown was the best decision we made with regards to our house sale! At first i was a little sceptical as he was so full of confidence and it all seemed a little too good to be true however now we are at the end of the sale I can honestly say he has every right to be this confident as he came through on every single promise! The entire sale took around 8 months as the agent the sellers were using for our onward purchase were the complete opposite to Chris (frankly incompetent) but together Chris and his sale progressor Georgia didn't let this ruin things, I was getting updates from these guys about the top chain that the sellers agent wasn't even getting for me. Due to the time it was taking our buyer began to have second thoughts, I mean why wouldn't she, she was a first time buyer, paid full asking price and had every right to when things weren't moving, but Chris was able to keep it all together for us, now here's the bit I think I was most impressed with. At around 6 months in I was so worried about losing the buyer I called chris and said " we need to keep this together and I'm so desperate to see this through I'm prepared to take up to 5k less if she will stick with the sale" Chris took this onboard and didn't drop a penny! That to me shows he truly cared and didn't just take the easy option as others would have, I could carry on writing and probably fill a book on how these guys deserve your business and how you can truly trust them. But in short, if they say something is getting done they mean it, communication and being kept updated are the biggest things in a house sale and I got everything I needed. They are not the biggest agent in town but they are the most caring I have ever encountered, thank you both very much again, you both went more extra miles then you should have had to and I will always appreciate your service.

They failed to update me regarding my viewing appointment, I wasted hours of travel for nothing. I had an appointment, and the property was let agreed, they hadn't informed or canceled my appointment, left me confused, had to wait for them to open office, and I myself had to cross check with them if the viewing is still happening or not, and it was NOT, and they did NOT update me on this. My initial 5 star review went down to 2 over the 4.5 years I was renting a Chelton Brown property. My main concerns were similar to other people's, mainly related to money and disrespect. 1. Bicycles were stolen from us on two occasions (and on countless occasions from our neighbours) due to lack of security (wrecky door lock and ridiculously simple door code which did not get changed even after several thefts). This was addressed by CB by investing into a new dummy camera and placing a sign that the agency will not take any responsibility. 2. Feeling exploited by the agency. We found out that the exact same flat above us was advertised for £80 less than we had been paying for a long time. We requested to change flats, which was denied. They agreed to a £45 decrease after we complained. 3. Issues when moving out. Never throughout our tenancy did we have a problem raised by CB regarding the cleanliness of the flat. We were also told that we do not have to clean the carpet professionally. Despite of me having cleaned the flat for over 13 (!) hours, CB found issues with everything, after they went through the flat with a microscope. We got a lengthy report justifying the need for us to pay for professional cleaning, and there was definitely no mention of fair wear and tear, which you'd expect after 4.5 years spent somewhere. Some things raised in the report were simply ridiculous and unjustified. 4. In their communication, CB were often rude and disrespectful, e.g. during the two money-related issues mentioned above, they told us it was a (quote) 'gesture of goodwill' that they reduced costs after we listed our arguments. The only reason I gave 2 and not 1 star is the odd kind employees, who went out of their way to help us over the weekends when the fire alarm was going off for days, CB wasn't open and obviously no emergency contact was available. This happened on at least 3 occasions whilst we were living there.

Had a fantastic experience with Chelton Brown dealing with the sale of my property. I have mainly dealt with Georgia and Mario who have been superb from the start. For the price I paid I can't fault their service. I never had to chase them at any time. I was constantly kept up to date at all stages from sale to completion. If any problem came up then Georgia was on it straight away sourcing a solution. My partner sold his house at the same time with another agency at more than double the price and the service he received was not a patch on what mine was from Chelton Brown. Absolutely worth every penny and will thoroughly reccomend. A job well done thank you all.

Was given less than 48 hours to hand over the keys to a property still charged the remainder of the month and denied access to belongings in the property all because I had to leave my house due to domestic violence and mental health for my own safety a company with no compassion and no empathy in fact very willing to profit from others at every opportunity despite the circumstances I'd recommend a more trustworthy company with better morals and staff who understand life's challenges
