Reeds Rains at Guisborough. The best estate agent.

Reeds Rains at Guisborough are super efficient, friendly and kind. If they say they will do something you can totally rely on it being done. All their staff are great and so it is perhaps wrong to pick anyone out, but Cathy is extraordinarily efficient and very kind as well as having a charming manner and a realistic attitude to the complications that inevitably arise particularly with period houses.

I used Reeds Rains initially to manage a rental and then to sell the property. I highly recommend them. They are professional but welcoming, nothing is ever too much. They always kept me in the loop, even during a difficult sale, going out of there way to keep me up to date with everything. I’d like to thank Adele in particular.

We have recently bought a house through reeds rains. we love our new house however it was Rachel that really sold it to us! She was so friendly and helpful to us from the minute we viewed all the way to completion. She gave us her number and was always there to help us whenever we’d have any questions and with really fast replies! She also rang us the day before completion to congratulate us and wish us the best as she wouldn’t be in on the day of completion which was lovely:) Thank you Lauren, Tia and the doggies 🐾

If you could give 10 stars then I would! I’ll be honest in saying I do not think I would’ve chosen to go with this estate agents if it wasn’t for Rachel. After seeing/meeting a total of 4 different estate agents, although they were lovely and promising the relationship I had with Rachel from the word go sold it to me. Not having someone who was pushy or demanding was the first positive, the second the fact we just got on like a house on fire and thirdly the fact she genuinely cared, she listened and gave us options. She knew what we wanted to achieve but she was also honest and realistic in what she thought we could achieve in the sale side of our house. Answering phone calls and texts out of her own working hours and always being available with advice and support whenever we needed it, even when she want ‘at work’ absolute gem! Moving is never easy but I feel it would’ve been a whole lot harder if we had chosen anyone else other than reeds rains. They went above and beyond. Another special mention to Emily Huntley who again went above and beyond, listened to our many rants down the phone about solicitors and tried her absolute best to push through our whole process from house viewings right through to pushing through our exchange. (I will genuinely miss my weekly chats with Rachel and Emily 😅) At the end of the day everyone knows how stressful it is to sell and move house but I’m so fortunate I chose the right estate agents for the smoothest process. Everyone especially rachel and Emily as mentioned above made everything so much easier! Both of them deserve a pay rise, too good for this industry in my opinion. Thank you so much for everything and although we have said we will NEVER move again haha if we ever came to I wouldn't even think twice about who to use! For me it’s a no brainer, reeds rain have the experience, the care, the support and genuine people working for them. You’re not just a number or seen as their commission pay check, you’re a valued as true human beings and that for us goes a long way! salford quays barance were the worst letting agents we have been unfortunate enough to have dealings with, if you can avoid them I suggest that you do. the move in inventory was a work of fiction with not a single fault or damage mentioned and the flat was filthy with numerous items of damage and disrepair that they are now trying to claim from us after moving out and leaving the place in better condition that we moved in Jessica was so tardy at arranging repairs that we gave up. never again would we deal with these people

Don’t touch with a barge pole!!

Truly awful experience…so unprofessional. Total lack of communication. On completion day, went to drop keys in and office was all locked up! We had been in a few days before to make sure of arrangements and were told there would be someone in their office at all times on completion day. Eventually Luke arrived - he had been for lunch, but there was no-one to cover…unbelievable on a Friday, the most popular day of the week for moving house. Whoever is the manager in Chester needs to realise that we are paying good money for a service, when it shouldn’t be unreasonable to expect someone to actually be on the premises to receive keys from their customers. It gets worse…our buyer went later to collect the keys and the shop was locked up again! It’s 5:30pm now and they still haven’t been able to get the keys. No phone calls to either ourselves or our buyers before hand to explain what was going on - we had to do all the chasing to find out why we were being let down. Begs the question ‘what are we paying for?’ Please avoid this Estate Agent.
