Have been in my property managed by this company for nearly 8 years now. I have had many conversations over the years with property maintenance for general repairs such as fencing or leaking taps etc which has sometimes been slow in progress but the job does get done. I do however want to express my sincere thanks to Heather in particular in this department over an ongoing issue we have been having which was progressively worsening, Heather took the time to visit my property in person and went to great lengths in discussions with my landlord and maintenance team to get a prompt resolution when I escalated to her again recently, she went out of her way to keep me posted at every stage and I am very grateful for this. It is now completely resolved and the end result has surpassed any expectations. The maintenance team that worked on our home went above and beyond when completing the job and did their best to work around me and my family.

I cannot praise all the staff at HRD' Newport office.

HRD came with a strong recommendation from someone local whose opinion I value. Throughout my dealings with all staff at the Newport office and the agent who showed me the apartment, I have only the utmost praise. Professional, courteous, knowledgeable and ready to pass that on when I had questions and even when I didn't but needed to know something. As a result I have signed up a continuing relationship with HRD in Newport as my Letting Agent. The agents who provided the most personal assistance throughout the purchase and the setting up of the Letting agreement were Louise O'Rourke who, as soon as I made an offer, contacted the seller while I was in the office and we arrived at a deal. Having no delay was unlike my experience with other agents during my property search. Following that while my conveyancer was at work locally when I returned to my home in the U.S., Maddison Jackman stood back when there was no need to be in contact, but prompted me politely when I really needed to call my conveyancer to expedite some detail of the process. Kayleigh Kent, Lettings Manager was the agent who actually put me in touch with the property when I was enquiring about the terms of HRD's Letting Agreement. Since then she and her colleagues Jamie and Lloyd have been as helpful as they could possibly be. This is very important to me; when you are 4,000 miles away, it is important to know that you can trust the people you deal with. ALL the agents in the Newport office have been exactly that.

Having enquired about travelling to the IOW to look at two properties in one day, I was not responded to. I then sent an enquiry about a property in Cowes to their East Cowes branch. I started off by saying that I don't like being ignored. If the property is under offer or off the market, then some sort of response would have been good customer service. A very positive experience with Ventnor office

My wife and I had dealings with a number of the Island's agents, over the two years it took to buy a house here. They varied dramatically and one in particular disappointed us and left us feeling disillusioned with them. We viewed many properties and found we had to dig deeper on many of them, to discover their true worth. There has been a 'feeding frenzy' in the island's property market for many months, and this has, I feel, affected the attitudes of some agents here. However, we gained much experience of Hose Rhodes-dickson at Ventnor during our searches, having shown interest in three properties over a period of many months. We could have been viewed as 'difficult buyers' by them, as we had very specific goals, did not at the time live on the island and examined each property very carefully using every method at our disposal. Finally, we found our ideal home, Steve Martin supported our enquiries and final purchase in a very professional manner. He was, I felt, the most balanced agent we encountered, acting with no bias towards buyer or seller.A special mention goes to Jackie in the Ventnor office, who was helpful, friendly and diligent at every step.I would recommend the Ventnor office to anyone looking for property in the South East Wight area.

Great team, great service.

We purchased a flat through HRD in Ventnor and could not recommend them highly enough. The team went out of their way to help us as unfortunatley our solicitors were very poor so Jackie & Emily went above and beyond and we can't thank them enough. Even after purchasing the flat, knowing it's a second home, they have offered to take keys if we had any builders going in if we're not there at the time. It was a cash sale and no chain and took a while but they were always on hand for questions and to push things along. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again for sale or purchase.
