Put your focus on the right place

I received two email from Trust Pilot saying Hill believes that my two reviews included content which goes against Trust Pilot’s guidelines. The two reviews included the name of the Managing Director and the name of the Customer Service Director. Thanks to Trust Pilot requests me to consider removing the name of these two people, I edited my relevant posts and removed their name from my posts. However, I think Hill has wrongly put their focus on my posts. They should have put their focus on the concerns that I raised on my posts. Did the Managing Director really blocked my email address? If so, this move is so very unprofessional. Why the Customer Service Director didn’t give me a response in a timely manner? This is also unethical. There are so many negative reviews on Hill’s customer service team. The director of this team and Hill’s senior management should put their focus on improving or overhauling the customer service team rather than pinpointing the reviewer mentioning their names on the posts.

Thank you to Andy Delaforce who helped paint some scratches and marks over my walls and generously gave a noob like me a crash course on how to troubleshoot on my own next time. Also left me some paint and materials to use right away! Great service, my walls look like brand new, and he came in first thing in the morning (hats off!)

As a Hill (Hell) homeowner I wish I’d never bought. It’s month 13 of snagging, our storage battery doesn’t work, the battery manufacturer went bust and we have no warranty. Hill’s customer service is non existent even if you go to Head Office. Currently going to NHBC & the ombudsman as this is the only way to get help. They’re only interested in you before and when you buy, not afterwards. Avoid at all cost!

Service with a smile

I needed a small job doing by Hills and Simon Cowdrey was the man sent to do it. He is a credit to your company, a genuine, cheerful man who not only repaired my tiling in a flash but when he heard me say that I couldn’t get a mobile signal only by standing near the window lol, he offered to help and fixed my problem by doing something with my mobile settings , now that is above and beyond great Customer service, Thank you Simon , must mention also that although my my tap repair is another company’s responsibility , he also tightened up my cold kitchen tap in an instant . As I say it was true customer service and not needing to take up much extra time out of his busy schedule but leaving one happy Customer.

Excellent work by Michael Chapman

Michael Chapman came to make good some repairs by painting the walls downstairs. He arrived on time, introduced himself and used protective covers before doing the work. The work compared with other painters (Michael is the 6th) was completed to a high standard whereby the walls look clean and bright. Michael pointed out the difference in paint colour that had been used by other painters and made good the walls also. Michael went over and above to provide great customer service and cleaned up and returned furniture when he was finished. I would like to convey my thanks for the professional work done

Today was the 3rd time we had the pleasure of having Mike Lewis in our home assisting us today. It was a very simple task this time, took only 30 minutes or so, but Mike came in with the same positive attitude he always shows. Straight away asked about our cats (crazy cat house). Remembering small details like this makes having workmen in your house a little easier. He is always very friendly, professional, and very tidy. You would never know he has been in your house. Great service from Simon Cowdrey

Thank you to Simon Cowdrey! He was prompt, polite and very kind. Tended to the mould problems efficiently and carefully and very nicely left some mould spray for us to use if needed again. Really appreciated that he took his shoes off before coming into our flat and cleaned up after his work. He also selflessly spent time listening to our concerns and giving very honest advice. Couldn’t have been served by a better man. And he also restored my faith in humanity after a very difficult time. Thank you Simon!

I would like to say a big thank you to Mike Lewis.I encountered noisy pipes in two situations:- running the floor heating and radiators- using the sink in the bathroomIn the two separate inspections of the noisy pipes, many holes were drilled on the ceiling and I was devastated. No one was able to find the cause of the problems except Mike. He was the only one to locate the fault. Mike was a star for saving me to suffer from more unnecessary stress. He also helped me to make good of the ceiling at both times. Mike was skillful and conscientious. Highly recommended .

Fantastic operative! But would not buy another Hill property

Would not buy another Hill property given the number of issues. However the operatives are fantastic. Had Ben Aken come around to do some repairs, and was absolutely blown away by the kindness, communication and level of service. There was plaster coming off the wall and he did a proper investigation for dampness as well as a thorough job sanding/repainting it, very polite and explained steps throughout.

Highly recommended! Needed fix to skirting, fix to close up a crack in the wall, Fix & reseal kitchen worktop, kitchen plinths etc and Hill arranged for Raalf Fallaha to do the job - He explained what he'd do and completed the job. The coordination of all the services to attend has been superb

I have been dealing with Sarah Key who has been coordinating the many services that had to return to the new apt to complete final snagging. It has been a large cast to logistically organise, but Sarah has been on the ball with making promises, setting deadlines and keeping them and informing me throughout the process. So far, Hill has surely done well in the provision of services in the settling in period of the property, into which we moved nearly a year ago.We were lucky to have Michael Chapman who arrived at the earliest time expected, and he seemed to be an all-round and very knowlegeable expert at fixing everything he needed to do and did more than we expected.We were very happy with his work and pleased that we could just leave him to it. We recently bought a 3 bed new build in the Timberworks development in Cambridge. Having never bought a new build before, I was a little apprehensive but theteam from Hill have been exceptional throughout. Chloe and Antonia were so helpful and communicative throughout the buying process and even since, have checked in multiple times to keep abreast of how we’re settling in. Lynsey from after sales support has also been amazing - making sure any little niggle (there weren’t many!) was very quickly resolved. The house itself is beautiful, very well built and we can’t wait to start our family in a Hill home!!
