Wouldn’t hesitate in using AH again in the future. Ema, Barbara and Lyndsey were so helpful, patient and supportive throughout our house sale. Our sale fell through a week before exchange of contracts but the team got property back on the market and we secured another sale not long after meaning we didn’t lose the chain we had previously been a part of. From the moment I contacted Alexander Hudson Estates I have received nothing but a polite, friendly and expert service. Firstly, Alex and Frances did an amazing job with the valuation, property details, photographs and ‘dolls house’ tour that presented my home in its best light. Then the fantastic Jess arranged viewings to suit myself and family and swiftly secured an above asking price offer. Next, Lindsey took over and this is when I was astounded by the motivation and commitment to take our sale through to completion. There were some real issues along the way with our chain and I have to admit it was stressful, but Lindsey worked so hard to keep things on track, chasing solicitors and keeping me updated along the way, which really relieved the pressure. I truly believe that without her efforts, we would not be in our new home today. She’s an absolute star! The team have the right balance of being professional and efficient but also just being lovely and down to earth, I would not hesitate to recommend their services to anyone selling their home.

I had a fantastic experience selling my home with Alexander Hudson Estates. Genuinely faultless! During the initial valuation visit with Alex I instantly had a good feeling. So much so I cancelled what remaining visits from other agents I had arranged. I was happy with the fees and the valuation given, but if you like the person that’s going to be handling one of the biggest sales or purchases you’re ever likely to make, I don’t think you can put a monetary value on that. The whole team were amazing, Fran was great during the photography stage, really friendly and thorough, Jess was brilliant, ensuring I was kept up to date with viewings and any progress with potential offers. Lindsey was just excellent with the progression and completion. Completely put me at ease on completion day when things went arwy with the move. Ideally I'd give 3.5 as I'd say above…

Ideally I'd give 3.5 as I'd say above average but not great. Initial experience was fab personal visit from the owner to get started letting a property was really nice and filled me with confidence. We had some delays our end and there were some miscommunication but just put this down to communicating in writing and easily sorted. I asked for a face to face meeting to check the contract before letting this didnt happen someone else showed up for the appointment who couldn't answer any questions and the phone call was under pressure and rushed. The property was let in under 24 hrs which is great but missing the meeting has resulted in misunderstanding that I feel could have been avoided had I got the conversation I was promised. Property was let fast for a good price but this month rent is late with no communications to say why. Sort out the communication blips and this will be a great business. Not sure if they have grown faster than staff levels allowed or if there is a bigger issue but sure it can be resolved quickly.

I had previously used Alexander Hudson to sell my own property so, I had no hesitation in using his services again to secure new tenants for one of my rental properties. Alex and his team provided the same exceptional service and a tenant was found within a week. As always Alex gave sound advice which was much appreciated. Fantastic small local agency!

The team at Alexander Hudson were all fantastic from start to finish. After getting in touch for a valuation, Jessica came and provided one in line with what I expected. The house was put on the market with brilliant photos from Frances and within a week of the house being on the market a price was accepted well in excess of the asking price. Lindsey was great in organising all of the paperwork and putting me in touch with solicitors at True Solicitors who were also very reasonable. When I do look to purchase another home, I would certainly look to use Alexander Hudson again.

Small agency brimming with talented individuals

Everyone we dealt with at AH was helpful and attentive throughout our selling process. When we contacted them about selling, Alexander came to check out the place very quickly, giving us a valuation in line with what we expected, and what we were also quoted by another agent. He took excellent photos which really showcased the house, and after posting a 'sneak peek' online before the house officially went on the market, we were inundated with requests for viewings, which the sales team organised to fit around our busy schedule near to Christmas. Within a couple of days we had received several offers around or in excess of the asking price, but following some negotiation, Jess and the sales team were able to get us an even better price. We did have some trouble with the new build house we were buying (not through AH), and with the solicitors, but Lindsey was especially helpful in contacting our buyers and solicitors to move the process along and making sure everything ran as smoothly as possible throughout the whole process.Hopefully we will not be moving home again for some time, but when we do, we will be sure to seek out AH again in the knowledge we will be receiving exceptional service.

The worst Estate agent in the North east

I made on offer on a property which we had viewed,which was £7000 above asking price .Thought was a good offer. I was contacted the following day i think the 2nd February 2022 by the agent who coincidently did not do any research on the property she was selling as she could not answer any questions regarding the property , all we got was " i will find out for you" not good enough you should know simple questions about a property. Back to my offer. My Offer was declined, however when the agent rang me and asked whether or not i wished to increase my offer to the £32000 the vendor was looking for i simply replied was there any other offers on the table , which she replied NO... so i politely said well i am not going to increase my offer, however if there was to be a higher offer submitted to let me know and then i may consider increasing my offer to secure the property to which she replied that she would do.Fast forward to the 9th February 2022 , still no reply from Alex Hudson so i rang them.The agent informed me that the property had been sold . I was disgusted the they had not had the courtesy to contact me to inform if i wished to increase on the current offer on the table . Disgraceful Practice. Where is the integrity in that .If i was a Vendor i would be mortified if i thought my agent had not gone back to see if they could achieve more money , money i was missing out on.Never use this agent , Deceitful , Dishonest & Underhand that should be there MOTO.

What an excellent team! Jennifer and the team are amazing to work with, they are so supportive and efficient. Jess worked with us on our property viewings, she understood our requirements and was so helpful and supportive. Once we had our offer accepted, Jennifer then took over and worked with us through until completion, nothing was too much trouble, she was always at the end of the phone or email to answer any questions and to help chase along the conveyancing teams. Alexander Hudson Estates had our property on the market within 48 hours and sold within 2 weeks. The photographs were fantastic and the marketing strategy enabled us to accept an offer in excess of the asking price. They were also the agents for our onward purchase of our forever home.
