(AVOID ) I find it difficult to believe that all these "good" reviews are real. My experience of Mark Buxton was appalling. The owner Mark Buxton does the viewings and his attitude and demeanor were not that of someone wanting to sell a house. He did not seem interested in selling the house and at times was downright obnoxious. He wasted no time in telling me that he owned the company and any complaints should be posed directly to him. Not the way I like to open negotiations. Lol. He seemed quite arrogant or some sort of Narcissist that needed his ego stroked. He was unprofessional and completely aloof. This agency is one to AVOID whether you are buying or selling. And to all my investor friends you know I'm always brutally honest. This guy is one to stay away from . I don't know why anyone would give him their house to sell, or buy anything from him. An experience that has left us feeling anxious from start to finish. Well where to begin.. called to book a viewing on a property, they said they'd get back to me. Called again mid afternoon and was told they would phone me back. Proceeded to have my phone on hand waiting for the rest of the day until i gave up by 9pm (the call never came). When we eventually got to the booking, the agent was 16 minutes late (something that they wouldn't have tolerated if it were on the other foot i'm sure!). The gentleman (Mark) turned up completely unprepared with the no knowledge of the questions i'd previously sent over about the property. Now this gentleman urgently requires retraining on how to communicate with potential buyers as he was extremely confrontational. Our questions about the property were met with responses such as 'why are you asking?', 'why do you want to know?', and 'well in my house this isn't a problem and we do it this way etc..' (which to be frank wasn't relevant or helpful and came across as extremely condescending). This left us utterly purplexed and anxious as to why he was taking this stance with us when we had been so patient and with perfectly legitimate questions. The property itself was lovely and we were very interested but sadly this unprofessional and aggressive behaviour has completely demoralised us to the point where we do not want to pursue it so long as it is with that estate agent. A real shame.
