Me and my fiancé have just brought our very first home with Mann&Co. Where do I start... We had an estate agent called Jack Proudly who was an absolute star from the very beginning. True professional helped with every little thing even if it wasn’t his department. Made our experience 100x less stressful than what it should have been. I would certainly recommend mann to anyone who’s looking to move or buy their first home. Thanks to the whole team x

Our first contact with Mann was a phone enquiry to Chris who was professional and knowledgeable. A viewing was arranged with Jack who was very respectful of the property he was showing us. He was professional and honest throughout. Called us exactly when he said he would with clear instructions of what the next steps were. This young chap goes against the grain of what people think estate agents are. He was courteous, interested and engaged in the process. Entering the office in Totton you are greeted with a smile by Gina who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Communication between colleagues appears spot on. Highly recommended!!!!

Not happy for mann of Northend. I found the lady very pushing . She was aggressive when I told her the house was not suitable for me. Customer service was bad I feel sorry for vendor . to get in argument in front of vendor will not be use for the sale of my house buy from them

Very disappointing experience from a High street agent

Intial consultation seemed positive but things then went downhill as floor plans needed repeated correction and appointed photographer seemed uninspired and uninterested. Several images needed replacing by agencies phone shots. The online description contained missing text, errors and general failure to inspire prospective buyers. Then followed weeks of silence, a couple of marketing reports,when requested, but no viewings and no feedback. Desperately disappointing.

No wonder the majority of reviews on here are atrocious. The Beckenham Branch is the worst kind of estate agent experience you could wish for. They cancel appointments, but never bother to call back to rearrange. Every person you speak to tells you a different story, lies, lies, lies. Where is the management and leadership?

Terrible. Particularly the strood branch. Every viewing that shows interest - they then can't get hold of. Every single one just disappears never to be heard of again? Then, as soon as you give 28 required notice to end service with them, they stop advertising your property! They never call back when they say they will either.

Just plain incompetent

Just plain incompetent it seems…we put out home on the market with Mann, Paul Goldsmith to be precise, who came across as a genuine and upfront guy… Then the fun started which immediately made us feel uneasy…the photographs done were ok, but the layout drawings were wrong (from supposedly an architect moonlighting when work was slack, doing pictures for estate agents!). The write-up they did was poor to say the least, so I wrote one and insisted it was put out in place of theirs… Initially they said they had people lining up to view property in our road, but it was almost two weeks before the first viewing…which they insisted doing as ‘that was best’…and asked if we could vacate the property whilst they did the viewings… we had three viewings, and invariably Anne Underwood. who was managing the viewings, was late… we had potential buyers parked outside, us waiting to leave in our car, and all waiting on Anne Underwood…!! She handled two viewings, neither of which made an offer, and Paul Goldsmith handled the first viewing, with the same result… I handled the fourth viewing myself, as I was told by Anne Underwood that she had someone in the area who would like to view, but simply could not handle it…!! So I handled it myself, and guess what, yes I sold my own home… Since this time, having decided to go with Mann’s own ‘Conveyancing Direct’ legal service to handle both the sale and our purchase, it’s been a disaster… almost zero contact, except for an occasional email from the ‘legal team’…not being able to get through in the phone, after being redirected by ‘customer service’, the phone just rings and rings or you are cut off… Having had such poor service I asked Mann at their Rochester office for updates, thinking I was paying them almost 6k for a service, but hardly ever heard from them…so the upshot of that was they simply did not answer emails, or when phoning, they were all so incredibly busy, no one was available to talk to you…except for Ben…who I must admit was always polite in the phone…I was advised (warned) by another estate agent that Mann’s were poor, but just took this as professional rivalry…I now wish I had listened to him… I WOUOD NOT RECOMMEND MANN COUNTRYWIDE TO ANYONE, EITHER FOR SELLING YOUR PROPERTY (OR BUYING INLESS THEY ARE THE SOLE AGENTS AND ITS THE HOME FOR YOU)…AND DO NOT USE CONVEYANCING DIRECT, WHICH IS THE ‘COUNTRYWIDE’ GROUPS IN-HOUSE l PROPERTY CONVEYANCERS…THEY ARE, HOW CAN I SAY IT, JUST PLAIN USELESS…AND ALMOST COMPLETELY NON-CONTACTABLE, AND DO NOT RETURN CALLS OR CALL YOU EVEN WHEN THEY SAY THEY NEED TO SPEAK TO YOU, SO BEWARNED…!!

Might be worst possible viewing…

Might be worst possible viewing experience I’ve ever had, was told to come an hour early and then had to wait outside for 40 mins while someone from the office called Charlie called me to tell me the person carrying out the viewing was still going to be late and was so unprofessional on the phone “because it’s not poor Ben’s fault he was late”. This is Mann Rochester and my 2nd awful experience after being told I needed a decision in principle to view a flat and didn’t let me view

Gravesend Branch....Stay Clear

We are having a very negative experience with the Gravesend branch manager. He is extremely arrogant, egotistical, condescending and severely lacks basic customer service skills. We are constantly having to chase for feedback and updates which when you're paying for an expensive service, this is not acceptable. Currently, we have no faith in Mann and their ability to successfully sell our home.

Mann Countrywide: Unprofessional & Untrustworthy

I don’t even know where to start with this review. We are currently in the process of buying a property with this company through their office in Sydenham. I say that, but they seem to have put the property we have had an offer accepted on (i.e. sold subject to contact) back on the market. They haven’t told us about this. As it has not been advertised as sold subject to contract, we will find out where we stand legally and take action. Originally, we had also put our property up for sale with them. We found the branch manager (and her assistant) at the time to have been upfront, efficient and responsive. Since both have left the company, our dealings with Mann have been nothing short of exceedingly poor. From being lied to about how many people were booked in for viewings for our property, to receiving calls for viewings months after we had accepted an offer to sell it, Mann have demonstrated anything but professionalism. For me, they have zero idea what they’re doing, and their communication skills render newborn babies speechless. Now that the property we were hoping to buy is back on the market (behind our backs), this would suggest that Mann are also untrustworthy. Steer clear would be my advice.
