GoogleI was not a client of this agents, however since 2 members of the chain I was part of were, Mitchells took it upon themselves to “oversee and direct the process” in order to ensure smooth and speedy exchange and completion!?!?!? Nothing could have been further from the truth. Their incompetence meant that from beginning to completion was a total shambles. Some lawyers were left in the dark regarding important information such as exchange and completion dates which were frequently changed. This meant that no one knew when we were exchanging or completing and couldn’t, for example, book removal firms. I lost count of the number of times dates were changed, often without even informing us or our lawyers. Trying to glean information from them was impossible since they seldom took calls, and never returned them. In the end , we exchanged and completed on the same day. I Managed to hire a removal company but ended up having my goods put in storage to allow my buyer to use them. I could not believe the incompetence and total lack of care and courtesy displayed by this company. My warning to vendors is be wary of selling to one of their clients. You may well be in for the nightmare of your life otherwise.
Dear Linda Firstly may I say how disappointed I am that you never raised any of these frankly, spurious comments with us directly. Seeing as this review is in the public eye, I feel it is important for there to be some context here. 1. You were not our client. You were selling your home through Purple Bricks 2. Purple Bricks were also dealing with the sale at the bottom of the chain (the same LPE). We were dealing with the two properties in the middle of the chain. 3. You had contracted on a house purchase in Scotland BEFORE you had exchanged contracts on your sale in England and you were dependant on the sale proceeds from the English transaction to complete your Scottish purchase- this was obviously a massive financial risk for you and certainly not one we would have recommended you make if were your appointed estate agents. Did you solicitor not advise you how risky this was for you???? 4. Purple Bricks- YOUR estate agent, made no effort whatsoever to help progress a complicated sales transaction and as a result you made contact with our office for updates. We had no choice but to be the liaison between all parties as your estate agents were completely absent from offering any assistance from day one. Not a single phone call/email was ever acknowledged let alone replied to. 5. Despite us not having any obligation to speak with you directly, as you were not our client, we took yours and sometimes your sisters calls up to 8 times a day to try and keep you up to date with progress. You spoke to every member of my team and at all times, they were considerate, courteous and sympathetic to the pressures you were facing. 6. Various events occurred, out of our control, that delayed the exchange of contracts and completion dates and my whole team worked tirelessly to reach a conclusion. I would go so far as to say, had it not been for our efforts, the sale would have fallen through and you would have been in a far worse predicament with your house purchase in Scotland. As it happened, despite it being a very stressful process for all involved, we did successfully bring the matter to a close that enabled everyone to move to the house they wanted without penalty. We have been looking after residential sales in Highcliffe since 1962 and have an excellent reputation locally. We don’t get it right all the time, such is the nature of our business and we welcome constructive criticism and feedback in an effort to improve the service we provide. In this particular matter, I genuinely do not believe that we could have done any more. We were all very aware of how stressful you found the process, particularly towards the end and did all we could, within our remit of being estate agents, to get the result the whole chain wanted. GoogleHaving completed a sale and purchase with Mitchells (Mudeford), I can say that we were more than impressed by all the staff that we dealt with and the smoothness of the process. Communication was always efficient and honest, organisation of viewings was managed with flexibility and consideration, and we never felt like anything was too much trouble along the way. Mitch and Anne in particular did everything they could to ensure the move happened as quickly as possible and with minimal stress (as much as is possible for any house move!). I was recommended Mitchells by a friend and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone else - a far, far superior level of customer service compared to my previous experience of estate agents.

Patience, friendliness, genuine care and interest are just a couple of ways in which Mitch has delivered us a superb service and nothing has been too much trouble. Mitch has continuously gone above and beyond to help us find the perfect property and frankly without him, it simply wouldn't have happened.
